I may sound old school-ish.but i am a strong supporter of" spare the rod and spoil the child".
Morality and riches are two different things,make no mistake about that.to an extant,riches is not the height of success (i hope you realise this soon enough).Morality has the potentials of "elping"nigeria situation. If only parents are up and doing in in terms of cautioning their wards in respect to morality.Its as a result of this societal moral decay Nigeria is in this mess we are today,because how do your explain these sensless killings and corruption that we are seeing today? I guess you have never been a victim of this societal rot in nigeria (perhaps not yet).The survival of human existance in deeply rooted in what we teach our children.if wrong doing is gradually turning to rightness and vice versa,then alot is at stake.its only a matter of time.

A friend gave me the task of getting a Tokumbo Corolla for him and I have been on it for few weeks now. In this assignment I've come to realize that Corolla is now more expensive than the following vehicles:

Toyota Camry
Toyota Highlander
Acura MDX
Nissan Pathfinder
Honda Accord
Etc

It's just crazy!!! How can I pay over 3 million naira for a 2003 Corolla? How? I've told him I won't continue in the quest unless he makes another choice.

But why are people so in love with Corolla? I know that the car is strong and reliable, but it's definitely not the only strong and reliable car out there. When we were still in school, whether you scored 70% or 100%, it is "A". So if Toyota Corolla is good at 100%, there are still others that are good at 90%; both are good.

In place of Corolla, we still have Honda Civic, Mazda3, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte, Nissan Sentra, Camry, accord etc. They may not be as good as Corolla, but they are definitely not too bad. My opinion

this is no big deal.we have our guys all over the world speaking the language of their host country.its called adaptation/survival...if you stay in China for 2 to 4 years you could speak Chinese..if after 4 years you can't speak the language of your host community,it then means your suvival/adaptation instinct is low.
