Nig. is the place where survival of the fittest is encouraged, Let everyone try every possible effort (positively) to make ends meet. As for dependence on the gov. or the rich; the era is gone. In only God I trust.
Politics / Re: Pastor Tunde Bakare Vows To Mobilise 12m Nigerians To Campaign Against IBB by VirtuousA(f): 7:57am On Nov 01, 2010
It's only the unwise that does not learn from his past. Poverty has made people hate even themselves. Some1 dat delivered the way IBB did in his time, cannot expect to be TRUSTED the second time. YOU CANNOT GIVE WHAT YOU DON"T HAVE. If you think he's gotten it right, well am afraid he hasn't the time to prove it.

Politics / Re: Gej's Latest Facebook Update by VirtuousA(f): 12:17pm On Oct 13, 2010
Everythin in Nigeria has been politiced. People should know that "blaming" is a negative attitude. Apat from our military presidents, the blamers had done this b4 now, had niknamed OBJ, then Yaradua as "go slow" , now it is GEJ who is just 8 months in office. Well my good people of Naija, let's stop this confusion and be positive. Every blaming sentences here, will be surprise at the response of the "real life". E.g Fans of IBB fighting GEJ's in facebook, where the same IBB is in facebook, etc. please let's move on n stop pointing accusing fingers.

Crime / Re: Death Penalty For 419 Scum by VirtuousA(f): 5:25pm On May 20, 2009
In as much as am not advocating for these scammers, what do you say about a country where nothing works. those that do not involve in one crime or the other do so by the special grace of God. These crimnals (so to call them) are suppose to be graduates to have convinced especially the WHITEs, otherwise if illiterates could do scam to get the so called "first class world citizens" then it shows how talented Nigerians are to waste idle.

NOW WHAT I FEEL IS THE PROBLEM
People troop to school to better their life yet, it doesn't help matters. All graduates must not be an employee. There are basic amenities people need to get their lives going. If one have the knowledge to manufacture one thing or the other, he/she wouldn't be able to cus there is no Power Supply that could help make profit in the business, he ends up lossing his customers to lower priced imported goods.

There are no enabling and triving environment for a graduates and non graduates but technically inclined individuals to grow. So i blame our leaders that know more than am going to talk about here, but have refuse to help the same people the look up to them. Suffice it to say that everybody seems to know the problem and solution to Nigeria's problem, both young and old but everyday we see our lives going round and back as if it will never end.

I think if the necessary things are put in place then will great mind be put to work, individuals will prove themselves and crime will be curbed.
Politics / Re: How Did You Get Fuel Today? by VirtuousA(f): 5:54pm On Apr 22, 2009
Who is the be blame in all this? The country is full of lawlessness. I believe Lagos state government is doing the much they are doing bcu of the the no 1 man. This country needs enlightenment from the head to the least person, only then can we differenciate those that flaws the those that does not.
Career / Re: How Do I Move Forward Now ? by VirtuousA(f): 6:00pm On Apr 08, 2009
@ poster,
From your story it's obvious you don't have SSCE Cert. So i will advice you take GCE. Then from there, you could take a part time job as you further your education, or still get a full time job and take up a part time studies in any good university closest to you. As other people have said, you don't have a problem. Encourage urself and be determined to carry on with this challenging time. That will make you a man and after, you will look back and smile. It's just a matter of dy/dt (time). Good lock dear.
Travel / Re: New Ferry Service in Lagos.How Effective? by VirtuousA(f): 5:06pm On Apr 02, 2009
This is a great idea, just that in this country, people that have great ideas don't have the financial strength to carry them out, while the ones with the financial strenght might just be champion in just one aspect they think it's all. Great ideas are written on the faces of the people but very slim power to carry them out. God have mercy on us.

Religion / Re: Popular Bible Quotations For Memorization And Meditation — Deuteronomy 31:8 by VirtuousA(f): 2:23pm On Feb 04, 2009
PROVERB 31: 3-7

3. Give not thy strenght unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.

4. It is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink

5. Less they drink and forget the law, and pervert the judgement of any of the afflicted.

6. Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts,

7. Let him drink and, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
Romance / Re: How To Tell Your Girlfriend She Can't Cook? by VirtuousA(f): 2:07pm On Feb 03, 2009
I sincerely believe this "issue" is as personal as individual differences. When you talk about GOOD food, one might like a food solely bcus it's salty, pepperish or oily, etc. Remove any of these, it becomes "bad" to them. So the best way to tell your wife or potential wife is to guide her on what YOU want, and how you want it. Cooking book to me may guild but may not give exactly what you want, and that tells why some people like one "mama put" better than another. Each of us have different dressing sense, yet very proud in them, so each man should enjoy their wivies food cus that's the way they want to have it. Bottom line, be open, teach her, that is marriage, that is commitment.

I've followed this trend and quite compliment all the efforts. I don't like using much stuff on my skin due to the fact that i don't want to loose my dark colour, though i would like to enhance it without bleaching. From ur suggestions, i would like to try this product u recommend (ie secret oil) cus it is "purely natural". I got it for the same price in a supermarket N60. I want to ask the proportion to mix with my cream. Can one bottle be enough for lotion bottle of 500ml? Thanks
Romance / Re: Is It A Tradition For A Married Man To Have A Girlfriend? by VirtuousA(f): 1:37pm On Mar 15, 2008
@RichyBlack
Well said, BUT do you think you can cope and handle the death-defying atmosphere of polygamy? Do you consider the family settings of those days? Where a man is in TOTAL control of his family, where the women have no option than to answer their husbands “my lord”? Where a woman cannot just rise up to do just anything because she dims it fit without seeking the husband’s permission? I can go on and on, but the point I want to make is that things have changed.
This generation is such that women have so much influence on their husband, YOU CAN ASK ANY SINCERE MAN, and if that is the case, an average man cannot cope with more than one wife, except the man has resolved to leave a short life. Can you imagine how difficult it is for wife to live with their mother/sisters in-law not talk of co-wife? I believe that the practice (of one man one woman) was totally accepted not just for religious influence but because people found out the truth of it – taking the burden of one than that of two or more.

@topic
So many wrong has become a tradition, and this is one of them. What is it married couple seek outside that is not found in their partner? They can spice up their married life if they determine to teach each other new things. This is pure lack of self control.
There is this portion of the WORD that says “all sin a man commit is outside his body but adultery is a sin against one’s body. Not only that it is a sin against GOD but also against oneself, whether man or woman

Family / Re: Your Career Or Home: Which Comes First? by VirtuousA(f): 5:58pm On Jan 31, 2008
I want to site another example from Proverb 14: 1. "A wise woman builds her home but with her own hands the foolish one pulls her's down". With this i will take HOME first, God has given women some qualities which men don't have and that is to build/take care of the family. But not withstanding if most women can succeed in building a great home with their career/business, why shouldn't we? Like the VIRTUOUS WOMAN (Prov. 31), she succeeded in both, and peolpe called her bless. Let's make that decision to LEARN how to successfully balance the two instead of insisting on one. I think that is the wisest thing to do.
Thankyou Virtuous A.
