Avril83: Last apostle,u should learn to take corrections in good faith. A fatal accident is an accident that no one survived. U do not have to abuse anyone that has corrected you.Fatal accident is the accident in which someone dies. It could be that he experienced the accident and at least on persod died. But if no one died, its just an accident. |
The guys could have been on high speed. Certain drivers just like to drive fast for nothing. Its not as if they're formula 1 drivers. I can't blame anyone yet for the accident. Hope they recover well soon cos Naija is the worst place to get those kind of accidents. |
Officiating was poor, agreed. But Keshi didn't do his home work properly. When you don't do the things you ought to d, don't expect the ref to favour you. Its obvious they're again SE and Keshi himself knows about it. When Chelsea met Barca fc, who did you think uefa wanted to win? Or when RMadrid men Bayern? Ref is partial is no news. Keshi has to realize that his technical performance has been woeful. The team selection for the tournament is questionable in the first place. |
SE has one leg out of the competition. Well, there's still hope. May be the pregnant SE can spring up surprise. |
hakuna matata: Stephen Keshi- 1.5That's what I was asking. Joel Obi should have been there. Osaze might just be right afterall. |
The coaching crew was thrash. What was Musa still doing in the pitch when you had Uche on the bench? The coach made a big error from the onset by not inviting our regulars. Even the sub, Ideye was absent through out the game. |

It was an embarassment. Op the story you gave doesn't hold enough water. If someone has a 190, would you encourage him to use that car? In the name of modesty should I now use volkswagen beattle for wedding? He was just unfortunate to fall into the hands of a fraudulent person. |

Imagine!! The amount of money looted is almost or more than the networth of Bill Gates. I don't care whether its politics or no GEJ should explain where the funds went to. I don't seem to understand. Was it not Ngozi Okonjo Iweala that helped in accumulating the reserves? Now she has helped in squandering it ![]() I thougt she was the "Joseph" of Nigeria and GEJ the pharoah. Remember how Joseph helped Egypt's economy ? |
Governor, Mr. Sullivan Chime Olawale OlaleyeEnugu State Governor, Mr. Sullivan Chime, who has been out of the country since September, is being treated for cancer, investigations by THISDAY have revealed. But following the intensive treatment the governor underwent in a London hospital, the cancer is said to be in remission, a source said Thursday. Chime had left the country last September, ostensibly on a six-week vacation, and he had not been seen or heard of until Tuesday when a photograph of him and a delegation of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), which had visited him in London, was released to the press. The delegation comprised the NGF Chairman and Rivers State Governor, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi; Akwa Ibom State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio and their counterpart from Benue State, Mr. Gabriel Suswam. Even though he handed over to his deputy Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi before he left, his prolonged absence and silence have led to rumours over his health and whereabouts. Also, Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke, who like his Enugu State counterpart departed the country under the guise that he was going on vacation, THISDAY learnt, is now stable following a surgical procedure performed on him at a United States hospital some weeks ago. Contrary to speculations that Imoke too might have been battling cancer, THISDAY gathered last night that the governor had undergone renal surgery, which was successfully carried out on him. Disclosing how Chime discovered he had cancer, the source said the governor during a medical check-up in London noticed a small growth around the left side of his neck and complained to his doctors who dismissed it and gave him a clean bill. Chime then left London to join his colleagues who were then in Germany on an assignment but soon returned to London to complain again because he was not comfortable with the growth. It was at that point, the source said, that his doctors decided to perform a biopsy, which revealed that the growth was cancerous. The result, the source said, also discovered another cancerous growth around his nose and doctors immediately went to work, promising to be through within six weeks. It later turned out that the initial six weeks was insufficient, prompting the governor to seek an extension of his leave to enable him complete his treatment in London. The source added that now that Chime has been given the all clear, he would soon come back home to Nigeria. But he warned that with cancer, which has gone into remission, Chime would have to undergo regular check-ups to ensure that it has not returned. According to the source, the only thing that is still keeping Chime in London is the slight swelling around his face which doctors are said to be working on. He said Chime’s medical team had assured him that all things being equal, he should be back at his desk next month. On Imoke, the source said though the governor too had undergone treatment for his kidney ailment, he said the Cross River governor’s case was not as bad as projected. He said Imoke had renal surgery and was recuperating in a US hospital, adding that the governor would soon return to his desk once his doctors certify that he is good to go. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/chime-undergoing-treatment-for-cancer/137431/ |
ebamma: Instead of telling them to reduce their call tariffs, who gives a damn about sms this daysAbi? That's the koko of the matter. But the reduction is quite good. These days many people hardly send SMSs when they have BB and email services. Another important thing they should do is to improve the working condition of the Nigerian workers in the telco companies. There are too many Nigerian contract staffs. |

Lagos is liveable if you have enough money. If you can afford a house in VGC or Lekki and can afford money for diesel, you will enjoy Lagos. With cool dough, you'll catch you trip in Lag well well. So don't see the down side. Just have enough cash and you won't need the facilities govt provides. You can provide urself electricity, water, security and overcome the obstacles of bad road. |

So it has now turned into Doctor/Nurse war In Naija, if there are quack doctors, there should also be quack nurses. That's the way I see it. We just pray that we won't fall ill and get into the hands of any of these quacks. @poster you made on vital point I want to talk about. You even admitted that there are some ill trained and semi illiterate nurses. Then in that case you should understand when people detest some of your colleagues (I mean the quack ones). The solution to this is not to fall ill or pregnant ![]() |

Asia should not be part of this world. All sorts of strange things and evils are prevalent there. |
Jesus Christ even said that in this world we would have trouble. The fact that you're christian doesn't exempt you for battle. Even Jesus Christ who was God had to suffer and pass through similar trouble so that we could have hope. God even allowed Jesus to die a painful death. We tend to know God more when we pass through challenges. Don't forget that we are in a wicked world. |
I read this blog and I want to share with you guys. Its thought provoking even though it would stir some controversies. [img][/img]We may say we love the Lord because he is our Saviour, but the truth is we don’t like him. In many respects, the bible is a book of prophecies. God says in the scriptures: “Don't forget the many times I clearly told you what was going to happen in the future. For I am God- I only- and there is no other like me who can tell you what is going to happen. All I say will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.” (Isaiah 46:9-10). Even some of the historical situations presented in the scriptures are prophetic. Therefore, they are fulfilled again and again. For example, the persecution of Isaac by his brother Ishmael is re-enacted in the persecution of Joseph by his brothers, and repeated in the persecution of David by his brothers, and again replicated in the persecution of Jesus by his brothers. Furthermore, the process continues today in the persecution of true believers by pretender Christians. Prophetic Christians Since the true believer is created in the image and likeness of Christ, our identity is in the word of God. All we need to do is search the scriptures in order to determine what manner of men we are and what the future holds. This is because the bible does not merely predict the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It also foretells the birth, growth and development of the church of Christ. It is the prophetic revelation about Christians that is of particular interest here. The scriptures indicate that Christians will not like Christ. The church in the wilderness rejected Moses. The Israelites rejected the prophets. The Jews rejected Jesus. Christians will reject the word of God. God said to Ezekiel: “I am sending you to the people of Israel with my messages. I am not sending you to some far-off foreign land where you can't understand the language- no, not to tribes with strange, difficult tongues. (If I did, they would listen!) I am sending you to the people of Israel, and they won't listen to you any more than they listen to me! For the whole lot of them are hard, impudent, and stubborn.” (Ezekiel 3:4-7). Indeed, the scriptures detail not so much how Jesus is hated by men, as how he is hated by his own people. John says: “He came to his own, and his own did not receive him.” (John 1:11). That statement is prophetic. Today, Christians are supposedly the people of God; so the scripture now applies to us. It means Christians will not receive Christ. Jesus himself observes that: “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” (Matthew 13:57). Christian animosity Most Christians don’t like the Jesus of the bible. We may say we love the Lord because he is our Saviour, but the truth is we don’t like him. “Why don’t you like me?” asks God? “What did I do to drive you away?” “What iniquity did you find in me that turned you against me?” (Jeremiah 2:5). “Hear, O you mountains, the LORD'S complaint, and you strong foundations of the earth; for the LORD has a complaint against his people, and he will contend with Israel. ‘O My people, what have I done to you? And how have I wearied you? Testify against Me.’” (Micah 6:2-3). Moses says God created man in his own image. However, George Bernard Shaw was right when he said: “We have decided to return the favor.” We have created God in our own image. God says again prophetically: “These things you have done, and I kept silent; you thought that I was altogether like you.” (Psalm 50:21). Christians don’t really like the God that is revealed in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we contradict him at every turn. We don’t want the God who insists we should love our enemies. (Matthew 5:44-45). We prefer a God who sends the fire of the Holy Ghost to destroy our enemies. We don’t want the God who says those who use the sword will be killed by the sword. (Matthew 26:52). We prefer a God who will be on our side when we go to war. We do not like the God who says we should turn the other cheek. (Luke 6:29). We prefer the God who gives an eye for an eye. We don’t want the God who desires mercy. (Matthew 9:13). We prefer a God who exacts infinite punishment on limited sin. The God revealed in Christ is far too demanding for us. He wants everything we have. (Luke 14:33). But Christians prefer a God that only requires a tithe. We don’t like the God in Christ who regards men and women as equals. We prefer the Mountain of Fire and Miracles God who legislates that women must not wear trousers. We don’t like the God in Christ who says we should bless those who curse us. (Matthew 5:44). We prefer the God of David Oyedepo who curses his opponents. Christians don’t like the Jesus who was born in poor and humble circumstances. We prefer the Jesus of our mega-pastors who flies around in jet-planes and even establishes his own airline. We don’t like the Jesus who did not go to school and get a formal education. (John 7:15-16). We prefer the Jesus of Chris Oyakhilome who boasts of his PhD. We prefer the God who establishes church universities where good money is made by collecting high fees.
