Re: Ugwuanyi at 56: Current Net Worth, Properties, Personal Life, Career, Biography

The attention of Enugu Integrity Group has been drawn to the above referenced article published on an online medium (https://ng.opera.news/ng/en/politics/072d2ab51f2381fa4bf17353d1dcf244). Our initial inclination was to ignore the piece because facts theirein are simply untrue. However, for the unwary and unsuspecting readers who may absorb same, it is proper to put the record straight that the governor is not that rich and manifestly has no such interest. He has no single house anywhere outside Nigeria. He does not have anything close to the purported “$400,000 millions” (whatever it means) bandied by the writer and not even the Enugu State government can boast of such a humongous amount.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is not known to indulge in globetrotting. In more than 6 years in office, he has travelled outside Nigeria only twice; the first time to attend an education summit in Ireland and the second time as part of a Presidential delegation to the World Economic Forum. The facts and claims in the write up are patently false. Even saying that the governor served in the House of Representatives for two terms is inaccurate.

Whatever the intention of the writer, it is important to clearly state that our governor is grappling with the difficult task of making Enugu better than he met it, amid unprecedented successive economic recessions exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. He should be spared of distractions as he focuses on his job of serving Ndi Enugu with passion. Our governor is always at home concentrating on his official responsibilities. The results are evident from the massive infrastructural development across the 17 LGAs and the relative peace and security in the state. The writer may not understand what it takes to shield our beloved state from the violence and bloodshed ravaging our brother states?

We understand that 2023 politics is fast approaching and that various interests are positioning may be at play. This may be why the article published more than a year ago is coming up now. However, the allegations have no substance and should be disregarded.

Politics / Sit-at -home Order Against Igbo Interest , Sen Nnamani by vitusotti: 2:45pm On Sep 10, 2021
Press Statement

this is not who we are, he says.
Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has taken stock of the implications and socio economic consequences of the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and called for its cessation.

The former governor of Enugu State who represents the Enugu East Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, bemoaned the continuous sit-at-home order that has brought the economy and social life in the South East to its knees .

Senator Nnamani said the trinity of Igbo character is defined by igba mbo (hustle), akonuche (cot of wisdom) and njepu (sojourn), pointing out that the sit-at-home order is antithetical to the innate Igbo tripartite traits and a betrayal of Igbo interest.

Senator Nnamani therefore wants the order discountenanced forthwith because of the continuous damage to the economy and psyche of the Igbo people.

He stressed: “Most of our people live on daily income . Think of the market women who depend on daily earnings to feed their families. Think of students writing external examinations being denied access to the venues.

“How does enslaving our people, denial of means of livelihood add value to our quest for equity and justice? If others reject us, should we also reject ourselves?

“It stands to reason that this order cannot be a way out. We cannot abandon ourselves.

“In our struggle for equity and justice in the Nigerian federation, we cannot inadvertently inflict more injuries on ourselves by this sit-at-home order. Let wise counsel prevail”.

Senator Nnamani called on all men and women of goodwill to prevail on the protagonists of sit-at-home order to restore normalcy in South East Zone .

He expressed abhorrence for any agitation through violent approaches, saying that with tenacity of purpose and determination, the quest for equity and justice would be realized.

Politics / Chinyeaka Ohaa: Is This All Enugu East Can Offer? by vitusotti: 3:31pm On Jun 17, 2021
Chinyeaka Ohaa: Is This All Enugu East Can Offer?

By Greg Enebe Jr.

A few weeks ago, specifically on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, the prestigious Adada Lecture Series of the Association of Nsukka Professors (ANP) held. Over the years, the lectures have become a major intellectual platform for civic engagement of the people of this great Igbo cultural zone that is synonymous with Nsukka city, inarguably the Intellectual Capital of Enugu State, nay the Igbo nation. Each year when the lectures are held, they hold the audience spellbound, exploring topical socio-political issues that stand at the core of the people’s lives.
One other feature that marked the lecture series out was the quality and caliber of its resource persons. Give it to them, perhaps because they themselves are the intellectual crème-de-la-crème of our society, in the last four years of its existence, its organizers sought out the best for the purpose of this intellectual engagement. Thus, year in year out, attendees looked forward to the coat of many colours of intellects that were on parade at the annual gathering of cerebral giants at the Adada Lectures.

However, like everything bright and beautiful which the cancer of politics, favouritism and deliberate lowering of standard for spurious advantages has eaten deep into in Nigeria, the Adada Lecture Series, this year also witnessed its own plunge. It was a mortal attack at its credibility and prestige. By the time the virus was done with the series this year, due simply to the organizers’ choice of a square-peg-in-a-round-hole resource person, it must have lost more than – at a conservative estimate – half of its reputation and and honour.
Although this year’s Guest Lecturer was Mr. Peter Obi, the much-admired poster boy for Igbo renaissance, the role of Distinguished Chairman and Keynote Speaker was curiously conferred on Mr. Chinyeaka Ohaa, the scheming, wily, sneaky former civil servant. With the huge and unquantifiable wealth he corruptly acquired after occupying cash-loaded state and federal offices, Ohaa, who now goes by the borrowed moniker, Odalije, may have been seated at the high table to underscore inclusivity in the choice of resource persons. However, for a Lecture Series that had over the years accumulated so much affection and respect for its depth and brilliance, a moneybag former civil servant was the least of persons who should mount that podium to intellectualize and pontificate.

Many reasons have been adduced for the choice of Ohaa. While many have claimed that the hitherto well-respected professors caved in to the lure of filthy lucre, some affirmed that knowing Enugu people’s fascination with leaders imbued with high intellect, Ohaa bulldozed himself into chairman-ing the lecture so as to get himself inducted into that sacred conclave. With the lecture, he apparently hoped to give himself the semblance of an academic and intellectual. However, allowing a man who is anything but an intellectual symbol to blather at such a prestigious podium of intellect was a huge letdown, a major dis-advertisement for the Adada Lecture Series.

If the choice of the chairman and keynote speaker for this year’s lecture was tragic, more tragic were the hushed allegations that Ohaa equally stole and obtusely plagiarized the ideas he rambled on. The content of his keynote speech very narrow, lacking concise depth and bereft of the candour that was expected in a lecture of that magnitude. He had apparently hired a hack to articulate the garbage of thoughts which he eventually inflicted on the audience. Vague, intellectually scanty and full of clichés, the content of his presentation was to say the least disappointing to qualify as an intellectual contribution.

In any case, Ohaa’s intellectual deficits are fairly well known. As federal permanent secretary, he appeared to anyone who came in contact with him as uninspiring, drab and inarticulate. His television appearances lacked verve, confident grasp of issues or clarity of diction. These Nsukka professors erred badly for lending such an elevated platform to a governorship wannabe who is a known intellectual dimwit. Those in attendance at the lecture also hammered on its very poor presentation and the inability of the Distinguished Chairman to pretend to take ownership of his prepared keynote speech by making a single statement without shifting his gaze even for a second from his script.
Many have posited that this junket of pseudo intellectualism by Ohaa is an attempt to give fillip to his purported quest to become the governor of Enugu State come 2023. Which ordinarily shouldn’t be a misplaced desire since everyone has the constitutional right to aspire for whatever position. However, per adventure that idea is real and not hyped, any pointer in his direction is an attempt to stagnate Enugu State which needs everything but a civil servant as its leader come 2023.

With this in mind, it then becomes glaring that the Nsukka professors lent Ohaa their podium for a humongous fee to project him as an intellectual. If this effort of being invited or acquiring a high podium from Nsukka professors is an attempt to shut out the other zones from the guber race, the move will be resisted by Enugu West because zoning in patently undemocratic and will not define this 2023 election. Zoning is antithetical to merit, competence and proven capacity to perform. If the invitation was intended by the Nsukka professors to burnish Ohaa’s stale image or boost his chances, then one wonders whether the Nsukka professors were working at cross purposes with the senator representing the zone, who has vociferously laid out the arguments in support of another Nsukka shot at the seat, zoning having run its full cycle.

The question to ask those urging him on is, is he all Enugu East can offer? If the lecture was intended to package him as the best candidate the East can offer, then the Nsukka professors should look around Nkanuland and they will surely find brighter, younger, well-educated prospective candidates from the zone. It must never be said of Nkanuland and by extension Isi-Uzo that all they can offer is a mediocre polytechnic product who wangled his way to the top of the civil service by exploiting the crooked Nigerian system.

What Enugu needs far more than the mere psychological satiation of zoning the governorship seat to the East is someone with extensive political experience at federal or state executive level who understands the nuances of governance. Enugu needs a dexterous, smart and savvy politician with a solid political base, not someone with one leg in a political party and the other leg in another party. Enugu needs someone with strong links in the private sector who can leverage on such relationships to attract and drive investments locally and internationally. It is time for Enugu to shake off timidity and go for a man of inspiring personality and chutzpah. I have looked afield and if Chinyeaka Ohaa is all that Enugu East can offer, then zoning should be blown to smithereens. Enugu deserves better, be it from East or West.

By the reason of the remarkable strides it has made in the last 21 years when democracy took firm roots in Nigeria, the journey from 2023 for Enugu State should be one that is anchored on vision, merit and competence. The reality on ground is that Enugu, as it is today, is a civil service state. This is reflected in its inherited burden of a bloated workforce and of course, wage bill which the current governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has adroitly managed amidst a depressed economy that has left many states unable to meet their monthly salary obligations to workers, much less investing in infrastructural renewal. That Enugu State has stayed afloat without wage crisis should not be surprising given Ugwuanyi’s private sector background as an insurance executive whose singular act of hiring a former bank executive as the head of the internal revenue board of the state turned the agency around and quadruped the state IGR.

Enugu urgently needs to come out of hole of a civil serve state, into a 21st century model anchored on entrepreneurship and commerce. To now place the future of our beloved state in the hands of someone who is wholly immersed in civil service mentality would be akin to willfully capsizing the ship. Surely, Enugu East, like the West, is endowed with a surfeit of seasoned and entrepreneurial-minded politicians with connections to big businesses locally and internationally, credentials that Ohaa not only doesn’t have but is too impudently bereft of.
His life-long career as a civil servant may appear lustering. However, in terms of brick and mortar, as they say, it is a minus for an Enugu State which is trying to swim ashore from the impediments of national financial suffocation. As Nigeria’s oil revenue is dwindling by the day, states are looking for avenues to bypass the monthly ritual of doleouts from the federal government. Enugu must think out of the box in the recruitment of its top leadership. To be tied and bogged down by the bogey of a humdrum and lackluster civil servant leadership is worse than the freezing of development. Enugu surely cannot survive as a civil service state moving forward, especially from 2023. It needs to attract investments to provide jobs for youths and further boost IGR.

The only hope for the Coal City State is for it to be run by an investment-savvy leader. In this wise, it is only those with deep connections in the business sector that can seize the gauntlet and totally evolve an entrepreneurial polity from the ashes of the state’s dependence on monthly doleout of the federal revenue. Entrepreneurs possess such ingenuity, the innovation and creativity to think outside the box and expand the economy of Enugu for the benefit of all. Certainly not a man whose mind and thoughts are frozen in the rigor-mortis of civil service and its obedience to order and bureaucratic process.

Rather than Ohaa who had been a civil servant all his life, forward-thinking, entrepreneurial-minded Enugu East gladiators like the Prince of Mburubu, Prince Lawrence Ozoemena Ezeh, a major player in civil engineering sector and notable philanthropist, Chief Uche Nnaji, a former elected senator and businessman with vast connections in places that matter, Barr Peter Mbah, a big player in the upstream sector, Captain Evarest Nnaji, a prominent airline operator, Frank Nweke Jr, the former Minister who later became the DG of Nigeria Economic Summit Group, all fit the bill. Certainly not a man whose thinking is circumscribed by the regimentation of the civil service.

What is also alien to Enugu’s political template is an aspirant who, ostensibly due to the humongous war chest at his disposal, had commenced, two years before election, a full blown gubernatorial campaign. Enugu had never seen such level of desperation. Again, when you look at the aspirant closely, one wonders whether Enugu is progressing or retrogressing. By his official age, he was 60 early this year when he finally retired from the civil service and by the time of the election in 2023, Odalije will be 62, post-retirement from the civil service. It is on record that Dr Chimaroke Nnamani, became the Enugu governor at the age of 39 years. Sullivan Chime was also governor at the age of 49 years while Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi became governor at 51 years. Are we going forward or backwards? Are there not younger people of intellect, energy, vibrancy, drive and hunger to transform the state from the East?

Recently, Ohaa doled out the sum of N20 million for the much hyped Enugu East Senatorial Rally with zoning as the battle cry. He was applauded for this generosity. Methinks that, rather than applaud this, the rally planning committee, if it has any scintilla of integrity, should have demanded where the money came from. Here was a man who had not done any job outside the civil service in the last 40 years or so and who has no known business address till today. We all know what the salaries of civil servants are at the state and federal levels. So where did he get such a humongous sum if not from plundering the finances of the state and federal governments? Is the EFCC still functioning at all or is it blind to the illicit funds being flaunted by the former civil servant? It hardly needs to be said that supporting such a man will be catastrophic to the finances of our beloved state. Enugu deserves better, zoning or no zoning.

Politics / Ugwuanyi And Hausa Traders Of New Artisan Market by vitusotti: 1:37pm On Apr 27, 2021
There is always a very grave danger when politics, political undertones or politicians come into an otherwise jolly good relationship. It turns brothers against brothers and people who were sharing a handshake a few minutes ago become sworn enemies. That was exactly what came into play in the case of the relationship between the Enugu people, their government and the Hausa traders of New Artisan Market in Enugu, the state capital.

In the last few days, so many curious narratives have been spurn about a relationship between Hausa traders, many of whom had lived in Enugu for more than half a century, and who know no place other than Enugu as their place of origin, and a government which they were part and parcel of its coming into office. When you look at the narratives that are being dished out right, left and centre, especially ones deliberately planted in the media with the aim of tar-brushing the earned peaceful image of the governor, you cannot but agree with those who believe that some agent provocateurs are in action, trying to turn brothers against brothers, all with the aim of achieving their political aim of destroying the age-long peace that had existed between Igbo and Hausa people in Enugu and Enugu State in general.

The way to begin the narrative of our relationship is to go down memory lane to the story of Mallam Umaru Altine. If you read the seminal work of Richard Sklar, with the title: Nigerian Political Parties, an authority on the history of politics and political parties in the formative years of the Nigerian nation, you would read the details of Altine’s life and how Enugu allowed and assisted the northerner to reach the zenith of his aspiration. Mallam Altine was a Hausa man who was born in the old Sokoto Province. He then migrated to the Coal City to pursue his commercial career of tendering cattle. However, being a political animal like every human being, he delved into the politics of his environment and rose politically, thereby becoming President of the Enugu Branch of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe’s National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC). He was soon elected the first Mayor of Enugu in 1956 and served meritoriously in that regard. Since then, it had become incumbent on any government or even individuals in Enugu State to reckon, not only with the political strides of Mallam Altine but to accord his progenies and offspring the regard of his meritorious service to the people of the state.

Indeed, that relationship had become cast in iron. Governments after governments in Enugu reserve a place of pride for the Hausa people, many of whom speak perfect Igbo, relate with the people in peace and contribute to the political equation in the state. It will interest anyone to know that during elections, Hausa community constitutes a sizeable portion of the electorate and they must be factored into the political equation of what is unarguably the most cosmopolitan state in the South East.

In the current insecurity foisted on many parts of the east, the government of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been meeting with sections of the Hausa community, with the aim of ensuring that criminal elements do not shatter the long-standing peace that had been enjoyed by both Enugu indigenes and every resident of the state. For instance, in August 2019, on the heels of the murder of Rev Paul Offu, Parish Priest of St James the Greater Parish of Ugbawka in Nkanu East Local Government of the state. Ugwuanyi immediately began to meet with strategic groups and individuals living in the state. One of those he met was the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association and both of them concluded that it was in the peace of Enugu State that commerce and mutual existence could take place. Also in September, 2020, following the killings of some IPOB members in August of that year at Emene, Ugwuanyi held strategic meetings with 27 prominent persons and groups towards nipping such dastardly act in the bud. One of the people he met with was Sambo Abubakar, the Sarkin Hausa of the state. The governor has also gone into the nooks and crannies of the Hausa community to hold meetings with leaders of this very important community to assure them of their safety and urge the people to help ensure the peaceful coexistence of Enugu people and their brother Hausas living in the state.

In fact, at the latter meeting, the Sarkin Hausa, as widely reported in the media, had said: “Your Excellency, we are more than happy to see you in our midst. This is not your first time; you were here last year and it is a demonstration of love to the citizens of Enugu State and we are part of that citizenship. We are more than grateful. When your SA on Security came here, we were more than a thousand that received him here and we gave him our speech. We said Ramadan is a month of prayer, prayer for constituted authority, for the nation, for our state, the local government leaders and traditional leaders. We used that forum also to extend our profound gratitude to you.” To most members of the Hausa community the Sarkin eloquently spoke their minds. For they would always remember the governor’s surprise Eid-el-Fitr visit to a mosque in the state capital in June 2017, the governor of the state to ever extend such gesture of goodwill to them. Also in May 2020, Ugwuanyi intervened swiftly to calm restive nerves in the Hausa community when he directed the immediate rebuilding of mosques damaged by ethnic irredentists in the university town of Nsukka following a misunderstanding involving an Hausa resident and a native Keke operator.

Why then a governor who has demonstrated this level of friendship, accessibility and love for the Hausa brothers and sisters carrying on their legitimate businesses in his state, would be ill portrayed by some politically-minded elements, all in the name of politics, as the enemy of his friends, beggars questions. These political elements have seized on the recent disagreement at the New Artisan Market between the Hausa traders therein and a private concern called Citi Gas Company, to cause disaffection between the two entities. The bile-soaked narratives fail to do justice to the roles that Governor Ugwuanyi has played in foisting peace in his state and ensuring that Hausa people in the state feel themselves to be part and parcel of the administration of the state.

Unbeknownst to a wide section of the public, the issue that happened at the New Artisan Market was majorly judicial. A court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Enugu, in the contentious matter of land ownership of the said New Artisan Market land where our traders operated, had given judgment in favour of Citi Gas Company. What Governor Ugwuanyi merely did, sensing the implications for peace and order, and also as a friend of the Hausa community, a relationship that had spanned years, was to immediately seek to find a soft landing for the Hausa traders community and to avoid any crisis in a state he superintends over its security as the Chief Security Officer.

With the execution of the court judgment imminent, the governor, last Wednesday, invited the leaders of the market to a meeting attended by the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, State Director of the Department of State Security (DSS), Brigade Commander at the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and officially informed them of the judgment which they themselves had become aware of. He thus promised that the state government would immediately come to their rescue by ameliorating whatever burdens that the traders could face over the court judgment. It was then agreed by all parties for the traders to be relocated to a temporary site. Immediately after the meeting, the governor ordered that all hands must be on deck to ensure the smooth transition of the traders to their newfound land. It must have thus been a thing of rude shock to the governor and the state government to hear that some miscreants had stormed the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway site of the New Artisan Market to cause trouble.

Those who know the governor say that he is a believer in the dictum of “do unto others what you expect them to do to you.” The governor is known to always harp on the fact that thousands of Enugu sons and daughters are all over the country, from the west to the north, doing their legitimate businesses and since he didn’t want anyone to hound them off their legitimate businesses, he would not want to hound anyone doing legitimate business from the soil of Enugu State.

Not only did the state government repeatedly wash its hands off such breach of law and order that happened at the New Artisan Market last Thursday, there was no logical reason for a governor or government which had reached a compromise with the traders to now go behind them to forcefully unleash a state of terror and violence on the law-abiding traders. It is in this that discerning minds within the Hausa community hanker a guess that some fifth columnists must have infiltrated an otherwise peaceful relationship with the aim of portraying Enugu as being in bloody disagreement with its Hausa brethren.

In fact, the statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer speaks volume of the true occurrence at the New Artisan Market that Thursday. According to the police, it was “a case of unlawful resistance by unscrupulous elements (against) the execution of a Court Order issued by High Court of Enugu State authorizing the demolition of structures and possession of the land area covering the market by Nwajanja family of Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the State.” The statement further said that the Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, had ordered the immediate launch of “a thorough investigation to fish out and bring to book miscreants whose acts of violence led to the sustaining of injuries by innocent citizens, vandalism and burning of vehicles in the market.”

It is no doubt a puerile attempt by some political elements to bring the government or governor of Enugu State into the controversy. Top leaders of the Hausa community resident in Enugu State know that the man who has made their community a place he visits at the drop of a hat, with the aim of befriending the people cannot be the same man causing chaos. If there is anything that the people of Enugu State, both residents and indigenes, know of Governor Ugwuanyi, is that he is peaceful and peace-loving like a dove. It will thus be satanic and unimaginable for the lover of the Hausa community to be portrayed as their enemy.

What has pantami done wrong for God's sake? How many of us don't have some misdeeds in the past? Why can't we practice the teachings of our lord Jesus christ who admonished us to love our neighbors as ourselves? When Nnamdi Kanu formed IPOB that later metamorphosed into a terrorist group we southerners were supporting him. Kanu was tried and convicted and became a fugitive yet we kept supporting him. Pantami has never been convicted nor tried in any court yet we are calling for his head. Are we not meant to be our brothers keeper? What proof do we Christians have to call him an extremist just because he mandated us to register for NIN. Why this sudden media trial and blackmail? Why can't we emulate northerners who always stand by themselves no matter what? Are we not ashamed that our country's name is been dragged in the mud by this baseless accusations? Pantami is going no where. We have terrible people amongst we Christians too but we shield them rather than call them out. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be a Christian. Honestly sad

How has this gibberish you spewed below got to do with the on-going projects? or must you even comment in the first. Governance is dynamic and the governed rarely understand the happenings.

Religion / Re: This Dream My Fiancee's Mother Had Is Bothering My Fiancee And I. by vitusotti: 9:39am On Apr 02, 2021
Hello bro, before i proceed to answering your questions there are things i will like to let you know. Marriage is a beautiful thing, the first institution ever created by God and is an entirely new level. which will usher you into a new dimension of anything you can think of, greater heights, abundance, name it if the potentials within are properly harnessed. This also means that for every new level of life you step into, there is bound to be challenges and trials for that same level including getting ready to settle down with your loved one. This does not make her the wrong person for you.

To answer your questions:

1.) What does it mean for someone's hair to be cut in a dream?
This has different meaning depending on the gender, especially for women; this is considered the glory of the women. literally, cutting of the hair of the women is taking away her glory. Mind you, the interpretation you give this and your mindset as a new couple matters alot. yes, hair can be cut but it can also regrow back (Restoration), People cut hair for different reasons, some to change their looks, some to look cleaner, smarter and nicer while some are forced with intimidation to do this. please, be mindful of the moods here, happy, sad, intensed, unfilled, they play a key role into knowing the outcome of the dream.

2.) Is it 100% compulsory that one must get a divine validation to have a peaceful and happy marriage?
Marriage is God's business, he is very interested in it, he is the PRINCE OF PEACE. YES, YOU HAVE TO.

I hope this clears the air. Have a lovely and blissful holidays.

DoubleFingers:
N/B: This could be a bit lengthy, but please, read to the end.

I have been making preparations since late last year to settle down with my fiancee. I intend going to collect the marriage list this coming April to kick start the marriage processes.

My girl and I are very compatible in almost all ramifications you can think of. Honestly, she's the perfect definition of a supportive wife, well mannered and loyal to the core, just to say a few.

We now lived in different states, but we've known ourselves and have been seeing/dating each other in the same city between December 2016 and September 2019. I even made her to redeploy during her NYSC in 2018, to be close to me because of my intentions for her.

As usual, we've been praying and trying to seek the face of God to get divine revelation.

So on the 9th of this month (March), my fiancee and her mum visited a priest for normal pre marriage talk/counseling. The priest of course asked my girl some questions about me, which she answered sincerely. The priest then advised my girl and her mum to put everything in God's hand and be praying about it.

About a week later (around 16th or so), my fiancée's mother had a dream where my fiancée's hair was cut in the dream. In trying to understand the dream, my fiancee then called her cousin who is a Reverend, and the cousin told her that the dream is a bad dream, that it means "someone is trying to take her glory."

That dream compelled my fiancee and her mum to have two days midnight prayer (19th and 20th precisely) to cancel any bad dream.

Reaching today, my girl and her mum visited the priest again, to let him know about the dream. The priest then asked my girl about her understand of the dream. My girl said it means "widowhood." But my girl's mum was having a different understanding.

In summary, the priest then asked my girl if she had gotten a divine revelation, as to whether we're meant to be husband and wife. My girl said no has not.
Personally, I've fasted and prayed severally to God to show me reasons not to marry my fiancee, but I'm yet to see reasons not to.

Honestly, apart from divine validation which I'm yet to get, I'm yet to see reasons why I shouldn't marry my fiancee. And my girl have been worried since this afternoon, thereby getting me worried also.

Now my questions are:

1.) What does it mean for someone's hair to be cut in a dream?

2.) Is it 100% compulsory that one must get a divine validation to have a peaceful and happy marriage?

Please, your honest contributions will be appreciated.

Mods, please help a brother if this piece isn't in the right section.

And help send it to front page for more response.

Thanks.

I wonder why this man still walks the streets without being arrested? imagine the audacity and the kind of things that comes out of his mouth and yet FG and our security agencies look the other way. Is really sad.

I believe Enugu State Government is really working towards ending this, though the previous administration didn't handle it well.
