i did my roadworhiness at lasu center on tuesday. i saw a danfo that came for the same process. last year i saw two okada that came for same thing at the vehicle computerised test center at lasu.

100 percent sure. Its the knock sensor. Maybe bank 1 or bank 2. Also check yoir trans oil if its guaged while gear is on D and handbrake or legbrake on. But im 100% sure its from a bad knock sensor. Just youtube it. Bad knock sensor symptoms

You couldn't even suggest he scans that car and you are already sure what the problem is.

I bought full tank from lagos to anambra, bought another full tank to run around for a week, then another full tank from asaba to lagos, it's still remaining and I can drive to mainland and bk.

Make una dey try use correct english abeg. Some of una english dey cause headache.There is nothing like sticked to. Use stuck not sticked.

An accord 2015 owner here. Car is plagued with many issues since I got it, but after spending so much since Nov 2024 till now, I felt the month of march was relatively stable until the car broke down at 11pm from a night of flenjo.

After series of trying to start it, it suddenly picked up 10mins later and luckily I was near home and r fuse to drive anywhere afterwards

Called a nearby mechanic to come check and first he said nothing is wrong with car that it is my fuel and I should used a fuel injector cleaner.

Got home and it broke down again the next day, luckily again I was close to my house when it happened.so this time the mechanic checked the pressure of the fuel pump, spark plugs and certified it good, serviced the fuel injector system. Now he says one of the cylinder is misfiring and they are suspecting it's a brainbox problem.

Rewire is suggesting testing another brainbox on the car, and if that fails they would have to check the engine if maybe gasket is bad but it has been established that one of the cylinders is the issue

I m wondering why they aren't seeing the exact cause since they use a car scanner abi thier own na for sakamanje or could this be a mechanical issue

I am already tired coz this is now day 4 at the mechanic workshop.
Who has experienced this before with an accord 2015

Forgot to add, the car starts and after 10 seconds it goes off except I keep on reving it like a danfo drive otherwise it will go off
Its like I need to keep reving it for it to stay alive

Car is just 6 months old in my hands and now at verge of selling it at a discounted price.

You should even have your own scanner and not depend on your mechanic. if you had a scanner, you would have seen the codes and that will even give you an idea of whatever is going on before a mechanic touches your car.
scan the car and post codes.

I drove an Acura TSX. 4 plug engine.
Filled my tank in Ojo Lagos.
By asaba, I was a little below half tank. Bought another 30k worth of fuel which took me to my villa in imo state. That one tank I bought in Lagos could have taken me to the villa but I would be low on fuel. I drove that extra fuel I bought for over a week in the villa before buying fuel again.

A member of the admission board reached out to me and scheduled an interview for 27th of this month. This my first time ever thinking of leaving naija and doing such application. I drive an 08 tsx. I am not sure it is cool with city driving. Use to complain about the fuel consumption. Bought 0xygen sensor twice. But last xmas, I decided to take it on a trip from lagos to owerri and I drove. At asaba was when I crossed half tank. The road was free. If I powered on, one tank will land me in owerri from lagos. Mine also has a trip meter which shows my fuel consumption reading. I was doing close to 12km per liter which was impressive. Another way to enjoy the car is always have substantial amount of fuel in the car. No dey buy all the 5k,7k fuel. Fill up your tank and watch it.

The issue now is
Most so called rewire (electrician) doesn't even know how a car fuel trim works not to even mention short time fuel trim
And that's making it had for me to find someone that really know and understand how to read a car live data with an OBD scanner.
That's the only way we can know the exact sensor causing the high fuel trim issue.

Take that your car on a long distance trip and see wonders. You might have probably been doing just city driving and hence the abysmal mpg u see. I used to look at my car that way till I travelled with it to owerri last Xmas. Luckily I have a portion of my cluster that was showing me the performance in real time. Mine shows in L/100KM. I was doing 9.1L/100KM translating to 1 liter for 11Km on the highway. This was my first time taking it out of lagos in almost 3 years of owning it. And since I came back, the consumption has been far far better. Maybe your car needs a long trip.

Good day everyone... My mechanic told me a month ago that my shocks are leaking and I also need to change my shafts completely, since I know next to nothing about cars (new car owner), I gave him the go ahead and he changed both.
The problem is ever since he did the repair, I've been hearing this crackling sound coming from the front wheel everytime I apply brake. The embarrassing sound is loud enough that people will often look at my car everytime I step on the brakes.
I've taken the car back to the mechanic up to 7 times with no solution to the problem, he's changed the calipers, hob, brake disc etc all to no avail and I'm fed up.
What could be the problem and can you please refer me to a competent mechanic?
Car is Honda Accord DC.
