Working too hard to push your thread to front page grin grin grin grin grin
CAPTIVATOR:
The hebrew word rendered "soul" in d scriptures is {ne'phesh} .

What do you think about Numbers 6:6 ?

NUMBERS 6:6

" All the days of his keeping separate to Yahweh he may not come toward any dead soul (ne'phesh) " !!

The above is a deadly blow to the doctrine of immortal soul , DEAD SOUL (DEAD NEPHE'SH)many translators decode this and thus render /nephe'sh/ as " body" or " person" to preserve the big lie ! So it sounds " dead body" or " dead person" ......... THE TRUTH will always prevail even after many years of lies,

When will christendom wake up from this tactic of preservin doctrines instead of rendering pure undiluted word of God .

Are you saying that darkness is eternal? Was not created sometime ?
What are you saying? darkness means NOTHING. Was nothing created?
God mentioned how he commanded land to appear, mentioned how the animals came into existence and then we never got to know how the water was created.
You are DEMANDING a formula/explanation for creation. Where are you told how the earth let alone the water was created?
The earth was created in Genesis 1:1 and then something happened which resulted to the earth being formless and void and dark. Yes the devil was chased down and then it resulted to the situation in Genesis1:2.
That's your imagination

Listen to Jeremiah describe what happened in Genesis 1:1 in Jeremiah 4: 24-28
Jeremiah 4:24-31King James Version (KJV)

24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger.

27 For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

29 The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

30 And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.

31 For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.

Negro, what are you smoking? Jeremiah is talking about desolation of ZION, unless you think there were cities, horses,bowmen and Zion BEFORE Adam

Before I prove to you let me ask you simple questions
1. Genesis 1:2 said " and the earth was formless and void and darkness covered the face of the deep. Please where did the darkness come from?
Darkness is absence of light. Before He created light, darkness existed

2. When do you think the water that covered the face of the deep was created? How come Genesis never mentioned how?
You have just been told God created these in verse 1

3. When Satan rebelled against God which, which earth was he chase down to?
How many earths do we have? He sent him to this earth
Christianity Etc › Re: DISPENSATIONALISTS- Will There Be Literal Animal Sacrifices In The Millenium? by vooks(op):
Here is another Dispensationalist, Jerry M. Hullinger vigorously defending animal sacrifices in the millennium
INTRODUCTION

One of the most difficult passages to harmonize with dispensational literalism is Ezekiel 40–48 .1 In these chapters Ezekiel recorded a vision of a new temple in which sacrificial ritual occurred. This immediately places the dispensationalist in a dilemma. If the temple is viewed as in the eschaton2 and the sacrifices are literal, then this seems to be at odds with the Book of Hebrews, which clearly states that Christ’s sacrifice has put an end to all sacrifice. If, on the other hand, the sacrifices are not accepted as literal, this seems to oppose one of the cornerstones of dispensationalism, namely, the normal interpretation of prophetic literature.........

..........CONCLUSION

Ezekiel 40-48 indicates that during the millennium God's glory will return to the temple where sacrificial ritual will take place and in which offerings will make atonement. For Ezekiel the concept of atonement is the same as it was in the Book of Leviticus, namely, an act that wipes away and purges uncleanness.

This purgation will be required because the divine presence will once again be dwelling in the land. As argued earlier, impurity is contagious to both persons and sancta. Further, impurity is inimical to Yahweh, who refuses to dwell among a people if uncleanness remains untreated. Because of God's promise to dwell on earth during the millennium (as stated in the New Covenant), it is necessary that He protect His presence through sacrifice.

This function of sacrifices, according to the Book of Hebrews, is efficacious. However, this was never the purpose of Christ's sacrifice, for it dealt with the internal cleansing of the conscience. Therefore the two are harmonious.
It should be further added that this sacrificial system will be a temporary one in that the millennium (with its partial population of unglorified humanity) will last only one thousand years. During the eternal state all inhabitants of the New Jerusalem will be glorified and will therefore not be a source of contagious impurities to defile the holiness of Yahweh.
http://www.joelstrumpet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Problem-of-Sacrifices-PDF.pdf
http://www.bijbelarchief.nl/default.asp?id=753

So, according to Hulinger, there is no inconsistency with continuing animal sacrifices and the once for all sacrifice of Christ on the cross in the Millennium.

Ezekiel 43:18-27
18 And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord God; These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.
19 And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord God, a young bullock for a sin offering.
20 And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it.
21 Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.
22 And on the second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock.
23 When thou hast made an end of cleansing it, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish.
24 And thou shalt offer them before the Lord, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto the Lord.
25 Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish.
26 Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves.
27 And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord God.

Ezekiel 44:11 "they [must be the Levites] shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people.'

Ezekiel 44:15 "..15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord God:.."

Ezekiel 44:27 "...27 And in the day that he(priest) goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, saith the Lord God...."

This is a revival of Levitical Priesthood and at the same time Jesus eternal priesthood is in place. Did it fail necessitating resumption of the former?

What about circumcision?

Ezekiel 44:6-9 King James Version (KJV)
6 And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,

7 In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.

8 And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.

9 Thus saith the Lord God; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

Thank you bro.
Ezekiel 40-48 speaks of a reconstructed temple complete with animal sacrifices including sin offerings
Ezekiel 43:18-21 King James Version (KJV)

To what period/dispensation do these highly elaborate instructions on sacrifices and the priesthood pertain?
1) The Dispensation of Innocence: before the Fall;
(2) The Dispensation of Conscience: before the Flood;
(3) The Dispensation of Human Government;
(4) The Dispensation of Promise: from the calling of Abraham until Mt. Sinai;
(5) The Dispensation of the Law: from Mt. Sinai to the cross of Christ;
(6) The Dispensation of Grace: from the cross of Christ to the Second Advent;
(7) The Dispensation of the Kingdom: the Millennium.

I disagree with him vooks. There is a difference between the 7 years of tribulation and the 1000 year reign of the kingdom(millenium). Of what use is sacrifice in a place without the devil?

Rev 20
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

NB: I hope you understand this topic does not address the issue of dispensationalism per se.

Is evolution a cult?
What happens to those who don't subscribe to it? They are ridiculed, denied teaching jobs

-How much money is expended on evolution?
-How evolutionists spin garbage to explain away inconsistencies? Need examples? Distant star-light problem affects both worldviews. Go check how they work around it
- How much or evolution is critiqued? Is it not taken and presented as 'fact' whereas it is not even a theory?

In short, you are talking about evolution,remove the log in your eyes bro

davien:
I'm focusing on creationism as practised by abrahamic religions.....my basis are;

-The Public Figures who make a profession of denial of doctrinal inconsistencies..

-The mandatory "statement of faith",an oat to pledge allegiance of being a creationist...

-The money directed at the cause of creationism to promote its ideals to unsuspecting victims... e.g gotquestion and gotanswers website,appear to be a christian website but are actually creationist apologetic sites..

-The mandated belief of ancient stories as fact by the figure heads e.g ken ham pushing his "worldwide flood beliefs"

-The formulation of apologetics to account for inconsistencies I.e change in the speed of light....

I think I understand you better on the dichotomy.

mighty glad you took up the challenge
shdemidemi:
Well, secular sense to determine 'what is good' and 'what is not' was what Adam got for obeying the sneaky serpent. Adam and Eve never had this sense until the fall, we also have the secular sense as a result of the fall. The bible refer to us(Christians) as 'sheep' because it demands that we drop that debased, man made, evil secular sense while we conform to scriptural sense.

I will meet you on the thread to contribute my bit.

I will take absence of evidence to be evidence of absence of 'gimmicks and lies' as you put it cool

LOGIC means consistent my broda. Faith and scriptures are extremely consistent. This is why we have 66 books mostly by different writers and spanning hundreds if not thousands of years TOGETHER.

The 'logic and rationality of scriptures' is all am looking for my broda on this thread. 'Secular' vs 'scriptural' sense is your own dichotomy. Sense is sense. Bring Scriptures alone and hang your senses outside. Am waiting.... https://www.nairaland.com/2101258/dispensationalists-there-literal-animal-sacrifices

I wish to remind you that 'logic and rationality of scriptures' as well as 'scriptural sense' is not for the stars or whales but MEN. It comes through man. Do you want to have a go at it or not?
shdemidemi:
I do not need any apologies as I am not offended by the remarks, when or if I am I will ask for one. When insults are traded It only makes it impossible to have a serene discourse as expected of a religious thread.

The logic and rationality of scriptures isn't measured by our senses but by what God says. If it does not make secular sense does not in any way mean it does not make scriptural sense.
Christianity Etc › Re: Can A Christian Be Justify & Still Be Guilty As Charged? by vooks: 10:54am On Jan 21, 2015
Nor do I know what motivates you to frequent the Religion section of NL my broda.
While am free to speculate on your motives, that's waste of time. You asked for a thread on Dispensationalism and I did just that after you resisted sharing your wisdom on the same.

I have not lied nor engaged gimmicks anywhere and you are free to point them out and I will duly apologize if that is the case

When discussing scriptures, one would imagine that digressing and stalling, sideshows and running away from the same is a sign of fickle faith not to mention subscription to things you can't defend. That is the hallmark of BLIND FAITH. Faith is rational. Faith is logical. Stephen by the Holy Spirit spoke with wisdom that could not be withstood. Christians who can't contend for their faith are a disgrace to the name of Jesus. How would you articulate your faith if you barely understand it?

It takes a sincerely honest and mature mind to ask yourself WHY you believe WHAT you believe. What is the point of clinging to things you can't defend?
shdemidemi:

I really don't know what motivates your interest in all of this
, it does not seem to me like it is the love for God and His Word. This isn't a polical thread that requires all form of underhand methods to win a debate. We are discussing scriptures here, one would not expect lies and gimmicks by people who claim submission to God, rather it should be a sincere opinion based on the wholesome guide, which is the Word of God.

A Prophecy for Nigeria

By Bill Hamon (Given on June 2nd 2011 during the CGMi School Ministry)

Thus saith the LORD, I have chosen My Nigerian Church to be an instrument in My Hand to fulfill My Will for this Nation. I am giving you an open door and an open heaven for the next four years to establish My Kingdom in Nigeria.

The President of this nation will establish a council of influential leaders in the Nation to help him solve the problems of the Nation. Your Archbishop will be invited to be a member of that Council.

God will cause a new product to be discovered in the ground of Nigeria soil. It will increase the economy and wealth of Nigeria. The LORD says, as you send out more ministers to the Nations, I will raise up even greater leaders in your own Nation.

I want My Church to be My Army of Kingdom Enforcers. I am depending on you to defeat My enemies, by tearing down the strongholds of the enemies and their heavenly places.

The devil is planning an uprising from the North. I want My Church to fight and destroy the evil forces in the invisible realm while the Nation's soldiers are fighting in the natural realm.

My Church Army who fight for me will be the deciding factor that restores peace to the Nation and gives it a future of peace and prosperity.

If My Church will show up for the battle, I will be your Captain and lead you in the battle to obtain a decisive victory.

Begin to pray and decree for My Kingdom to come and My Will to be done in Nigeria as it is in Heaven, saith the LORD your God.
