No sir,
Why would members of a particular sect be so keen on projecting Pharisee spirit unless the same is the staple garbage over there?
Am not modifying scriptures, just saying that they stand in the Pharisee stead

0rex:
grin I get you, although I personally think it's more an issue with some of the members of his church than with the pastor himself. Just be careful with the scripture modification thing.

There are two primates but the mystery is there is ONE God
In Genesis you have 'Let us make' and then you have 'God made'

Who is 'us' of Genesis if I may aks? Angels, Seraphim, Cherubim,24 Elders, 4 Living Creatures? Or was God dissociative?
Tell me something about the 'plural of majesty' grin

Those who think they are better than others are the Pharisees. In this case, can you spot pharisees?

0rex:
Even though I understand you are trying to make a point, do you know God's stand on modifying his word? [Rev 22:18,19]
Moreso, it isn't stated anywhere that the pastor himself gave all this information.
On what basis do you equate him with a pharisee?

Didn't you say that karma means the wicked get their reward right here on earth?

This question was thrown at you
First let me start my questions from the your belief on hell fire. You sincerely believe that hell is a fabricated concept that was smuggled to keep some people in check. well my question is,if there no hell and eternal condemnation, what punishment should be melted out to those who sin and continually sin against God? what is the reward for the iniquity of those who died as enemies of the true GOD?
And here is your answer
People receive punishment for their actions in this life as is very evident from their experiences......When Paul talked about the wrath of God in Romans, he talked about it in the present tense, i.e it is being revealed, not that it will be revealed -Romans 1:18.......This is all karma on this earth.

AM still pondering my broda.

Revelation 20:4-6 King James Version (KJV)

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

ayoku777:
That's exactly what I'm trying to do as well. I'm trying to show you how that the book of revelation detailed with precise information things that other books said in passing or in a generalized way.

Well since you're examining Revelation; examine and explain this:

Revelation 20v5 -THE REST OF THE DEAD LIVED NOT again until the thousand years were finished.
Christianity Etc › Re: When Will The Rapture Take Place? Before Or After The Tribulation. by vooks: 7:23am On Jan 14, 2015
Daniel talks of a singular resurrection with different fates for the resurrectees

Look at John closely. AFTER the hour has come, the dead hear his voice and rise. Up to this point, the hour has come and resurrection has occurred. Next, is the fate of the reurrectees

Paul, a resurrection of the dead. One singular event emphasized by the article 'a'. And probably to preempt people like Frosbel who believe that the unjust won't resurrect, he tells us BOTH unjust and the just will resurrect. in all honesty and logic, can Paul call two distinct events a resurrection?

Scriptures don't contradict which is why am examining Revelation against EVERY other scripture on the subject.

You must learn to drop your biases when examining scriptures
ayoku777:
What are my saying, what are you saying?

Every scripture talked about two resurrection -one for the just and one for the unjust.

You said is there anything to suggest Daniel is talking of multiple resurrection? Well is there anything to suggest Revelation is talking of a single resurrection?

Will we have a FIRST resurrection, if there is no SECOND resurrection?

You assume 1000 years is not literal but "an hour" is, right?

Paul said "a resurrection" BOTH for the just and the unjust. So does that mean "THE BOTH" happened the same time?

Is the resurrection of Christ not the same type with our own, did it happen at same time.

Scriptures don't contradict eachother, they complement. Some scriptures talk about an event but don't detail how or when it will happen. While others talk about it and tell how.

Paul talked about the rapture but didn't tell when it will happen relative to the tribulation. But Jesus talked about the rapture and said it will happen after the tribulation.

You must learn to reconcile scripture with scripture, use the one that detailed timing and information to explain the one that didn't. Instead of saying one book or chapter is versus another book.
Christianity Etc › Re: When Will The Rapture Take Place? Before Or After The Tribulation. by vooks:
On the contrary my broda, resurrection is quite detailed plus, who said 1000 years are necessarily literal?

Look at these verses

Daniel 12:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

John 5:28-29 King James Version (KJV)
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Acts 24:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Quickly
1. Is there anything in Daniel to suggest multiple resurrections?
2. Do you honestly believe the 'hour' is interspersed with 1000 years within it?
3. Paul speaks of 'a resurrection'. Singular

PS: when the book details what is not found elsewhere, we welcome that. But when it details what has been repeated elsewhere, we can't ignore nor elevate it above the others. I want us to examine Rev 20 and see if it really talks of multiple resurrections
ayoku777:
Yeah other passages talked about resurrection of the just and the unjust but they didn't detail when each will happen.

No book also detailed the millenial reign of Christ, the casting of the Devil into the bottomless pit, and release after. Its also the only book that differentiates the lake of fire from hell.

Revelation detailed what other books didn't. There is a 1000year gap between the resurrection of the just and the unjust.

There is nothing paradoxical about that, it is as literal as it was expressed. We must learn to reconcile scriptures, unless we want to claim that some parts of it are not true.
Christianity Etc › Re: When Will The Rapture Take Place? Before Or After The Tribulation. by vooks: 6:37am On Jan 14, 2015
I mean Rev 20 is the ONLY place of apparent multiple resurrections in the Bible. It basically is Rev 20 versus the rest of the 66 books.

The just and the unjust will resurrect at the same time
ayoku777:
What do you mean paradox? Are you saying, the just and the unjust will resurrect at the same time? Don't talk in ambiguities.
Christianity Etc › Re: When Will The Rapture Take Place? Before Or After The Tribulation. by vooks: 6:29am On Jan 14, 2015
I know about Revelation 20 paradox.
Fact is outside that chapter, and am not suggesting we ignore it, Resurrection is a singular event from the gospels, epistles all the way back to Daniel 12
ayoku777:
There are two resurrections, the resurrection of the just which takes place at the beginning of the millenial. And the resurrection of the unjust which takes place at the end of the millenial.

Rev 20v4-5 -...and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection

Luke 18:10-14 King James Version (KJV)

10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Deeper Life dude, and the other a publican.

11 The Deeper Life dude stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I KUMUYI am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Resurrection/rapture happens on the LAST day. If after resurrection you have 7 years or 1000 years, then clearly that is not THE LAST DAY

John 6:40 King James Version (KJV)

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

These rights Paul ever so readily gave up. He was not an activist but one who sacrificed them

1 Corinthians 9:15-18 King James Version (KJV)

15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.

16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

Not sure what you are saying but isn't it obvious he would never talk of losing those who are not already his?

There are good reasons he asked them to ABIDE/CONTINUE in Him and went as far as explaining the consequences of not remaining him him.

Why do Christians look for license to sin without paying for it?

''My sheep'' concept stands against you. Not all people are His sheep! It is the character of His sheep to hear and follow Him. In that verse , He is giving them assurance that they will not be condemned and no one can do that. What is He saying to the purpose if they themselves can do that! grin
That is what would have needed addressing!
It is the Spirit that quickeneth! The flesh profiteth nothing! No man can come to Christ without being drawn by the Father!
