Christianity Etc › Re: Whitney Houston: A Case Study Of Generational Curse by vooks(op): 9:01am On Feb 03, 2015
It is almost a superstitious phenomena....trust me they will be preaching about it somewhere

mmsen:
Generational curses?

You mean habits passed from parent to child? That is how we form many of our habits - we learn from those that raise us.

The term "generational curse" is (one of many reasons) why I am convinced that many people need intensive parenting skills training prior to having children.

Powers are ordained pagan or 'Christian'. Powers ordained are not what your pastor imagines them to be.

The work of a believer is to use their brains, reason, logic and experience among others to JUDGE who should be their leader and who should not. If they delegate this back to God and then wait for their pasta to hear from God on their behalf, we have chaos. You have chaos because these pastas are not infallible and are susceptible to bias like tribalism, error and so forth.

You need to appreciate that God does not meddle with leadership presently as under OT, otherwise I would judge absence of a Christian leader of the Roman Empire for the first few hundreds of years of Christendom as FAILURE by the then Christians

Look at nations around you, especially those led by non-'Christians'. Are they less prosperous than Naija under Goodluck?

nwokwulechristo:
the Scripture you quoted you don't even understand.
it says be subject to the " higher powers ". " the powers That be are ORDAINED by God." So brother, the powers are ordained. that's why E.A Adeboye could not even endose by himself but. waited to follow the arrived decision of all. People nowadays don't like to be under authority.

To be under a pegan leader is always persecution for the people of God, see Daniel in Babylon.
Did the 3 Hebrew boys bow to the image of Nebuchadnezzar?
Life will be more better with a fellow brother in faith than an outsider.

Logic alone demolishes Islam. How does a religion crop up and purport to have more insight into scriptures that predated it by over 500 years? Islam is no different from Mormons
Christianity Etc › Re: Bakare Blasts CAN, PFN For Endorsing Jonathan by vooks: 5:27am On Feb 03, 2015
You err in that you know not the scripture nor the power of God

Romans 13:1-5 (KJV)
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake

God does not deal with ANY nation in the same terms he dealt with Israel

Paul is writing to Romans under a pagan leader

nwokwulechristo:
Many don't understand the role of a man of God in politics. In the Bible, no one was free or fit to rule unless He was anointed by the priest or prophet. I.e like Saul, David, Solomon etc.. That is God's instruction in the WORD in the making and appointing of a leader.
The priest lays hands, or pour oil on the chosen (endorsing) him for the office. That fact that He is anointed doesn't mean He will be perfect. Like David, Saul, they all had their low points.
if GEJ have been endoses by the arm of God on earth (God's anointed ones) He is already accepted by God. The Bible say, bind on earth, and It's bond in heaven. Okay oh, but I speak to Christians only.

You got it bad when negro tells you he is being 'led' to support a candidate. He is essentially shifting blame for whatever consequences follow that choice to God

Did I say there is a curse running in the family?

PS: religiotard is overused. Your deficiency of vocabulary is nigh terminal
plaetton:
Yes, generation curse is what religiotards who didn't got to school , and dont know a thing about child psychology call a clear predictable tragedy.

This is the big problem most of us have with religion and religiotards. The promotion of stark, dark age ignorance.

The slowpoke forgets that Whitney Houston and her family were staunch Christians, and that she developed her singing talent through church choir.

The slowpoke is blinded to the fact that sudden fame and fortune overwhelms most,if not all humans. Whitney Houston was simply a victim of her own fame and fortune, something that her humble background and youth did not prepare for.

As her daughter, is even a bigger victim of runaway fame and fortune with no responsibility, a broken and fragmented home, and the death of her mother, her only support pillar,at the most critical phase of her life.

Anyone, any human who has a HEART should feel nothing but pity for this young traumatized soul instead of scorn and mockery from moral schizophrenics like Vooks and his fellow religiotards.

1Peter 2:20 (KJV)
For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God

Muslims are not allowed to dye their hair unless they use henna. The dye should never be be the NATURAL hair color.
They do it because Mo is rumored to have done it and of course they rewrite history and pretend to know about Abraham better than the Jews, and they claim he too dyed his.

It's one of those silly religious stuff with little meaning but I have heard it was a means of hiding gray/white hair to court younger women with ease

You understand 'initial plan' better than any of us, why not make babies with your own mum?

Timoleon:
My curiousity was pricked again this morning when i read a comment on a thread about Olamide becoming a baby daddy. The commentator thought it was an irresponsible thing to do as they were not married. Personally i think Gods initial plan was for man to live like the animals and procreate just like they do. Genesis(creation of man) has no record of God instructing Adam to marry Eve yet he instructed them to multiply. I think the only reason other animals dont bother about good and evil is because they didnt eat from the forbidden tree and as such, continue to live in Gods original plan. My curiousity is thus: if marriage was not in the template of creation(God's original plan), is it really Compulsory?

You are too cryptic my broda and quite funny wink

About institutional church, the laments against these are quite unfounded. Tell me for once who/what is doing it the 'right' way...I need examples of this as well not just how not to church

BabaGnoni:
vooks, I didnt want to post in this manner but the bold above and other reasons necessitated it

Christ Embassy is a brand, Winners Chapel is a brand, KICC is a brand, Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries is a brand, RCCG is a brand,
Adoration Ground is a brand, House on the Rock is a brand, Daystar Christian Centre is a brand, the list-goes-on is a brand

The corporate/corporation church sells these brands with Jesus dust sprinkled on.

The snake oil salesmen in these corporate/corporation churches are branded/seared with the red hot iron dollar sign

The dollar sign is an economical symbol, so "charlatans and liars" have the red hot iron dollar sign (i.e. the mark of the beast dollar) too...
They have this dollar sign in common with the snake oil salesmen in the corporate/corporation churches

The dollar mark is an identifier, once spotted or detected on each other, it makes rubbing shoulders with each other, associating with each other and/or tolerating each other easy without so much of batting an eyelid

It makes them act as though nothing is unusual about the "charlatans and liars"
