Imo state is the richest state in SE. Owerri airport is the 4th busiest in Nigeria after Lagos, Abuja and P.H. Imo state has been receiving flights since the 1980's but some people just built theirs last year and no one could hear word again in Nigeria. Even Northern states like Sokoto, Gombe, Yola etc all have airports since!

Imo state has a functional refinery while a massive gas plant and petrochemical plants are almost completed. If these village mugus celebrating ordinary airport and conference center should have it, the whole of Nigeria will not hear word again.

Considering the dynamics currently unraveling in Nigeria, it has become expedient for Atiku to withdraw and support Peter Obi and Ahmed Datti. So, here are the 5 reasons why he needs to support Labour Party people's revolution now:

1. It's actually the turn of South and Christians: After Buhari has completed 8 years as president, fairness and equity demands that the next president should be a Southern Christian to ensure stability, peace and progress.

2. Now that Obi's people's revolution has swept away Atiku's former support base i.e. SE, SS and NC. Atiku is left with nothing to bank on. He is not even sure of winning Adamawa his home state and it's that bad!

3. Atiku is now based in Dubai and only visits Nigeria. It is obvious he is too big to base in Nigeria now so he prefers Dubai. So, why not remain there after all he is now popularly known as Dubai big boy.

4. He is likely to lose embarrassingly: for someone that has been contesting since the days of Abiola when the Vice presidential candidate of Labour Party was still doing NYSC, it would be shameful for Atiku to be humiliated at the polls now. He should quit now and save himself the shame.

5. Everyone, including Atiku knows that Peter Obi and Ahmed Datti are far better candidates with the requisite wherewithal to rescue Nigeria and reposition it for greatness. As a selfless elderstatesman, he would be remembered for good if he quits now and ask his supporters to vote for Obi.

Emirs in Northern Nigeria and other leaders in the North should advise Atiku to quit now for the good of all.

Everyone can easily attest that APC is fast being reduced to Nigeria's equivalence of Egypt's Jan.ja.weed Party otherwise known as the Muslim Brotherhood.

Buhari is known as a fanatical muslim but he never went as far as asking for Muslim-Muslim presidency. On the contrary, he went for Christians and even pastors just to show he is accommodating to Christians that make up half the population of Nigeria.

Some of the high profile politicians that have abandoned APC in the last 24 hours include Tonye Princewill, a former governorship aspirant and prominent politician in Rivers State. Hon. Abbo, a serving senator representing Adamawa North. Kenneth Okonkwo, a veteran Nollywood actor and former governorship aspirant in Enugu State. There are several others too numerous to mention and many are expected to abandon the sinking ship of Nigeria's Jan.ja.weed Party.

This could also herald a new phase of development in Nigeria just like it happened in Egypt. With the expected emergence of Peter Obi and Baba Ahmed Datti, two incorruptible and progressive politicians, Nigeria could as well be on the verge of greatness.

BBC Hausa is one of the major page where Northerners speak out their mind, it is a hub for both the learnant and the semi educated, while the uneducated and the old ones listened to the BBC hausa Radio mostly, and guess what all the comments that was chunked out on the page would be later on read out by the reporters through the BBC hausa radio for wider audience.

I know some people will say that I selected only the negative comments, you can go and verify on the page by yourselves. The emergence of Peter Obi has vastly affected the secessionists. Most of the Igbo youths that were supporting Biafra were doing so because they realized that Nigeria's situation was hopeless and only break-up will change the situation. However, the emergence of Obi alongside a progressive Northerner as potential winner has given hope that Nigeria could be redeemed.
