Good job by the police.
This is what we always clamour for, proactiveness and intelligent gathering.

It is better to prevent a crime or violence from happening than to allow it happen. This is what is lacking in the north.

Well, I didn't see it as pride because I have discussed stuffs far more embarrassing than that with Charles.

I just didn't want to interfare since I thought that God has already said it and it MUST come to pass with or without my action.

I will say it's more of ignorant rather than pride.

If felt that He that has started a thing will faithfully complete it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

One Lesson you can also learn from my response:

Surely, the word of God responds to the yearnings of our spirit and that was what impressed it in the heart of Bro. Charles to want to help you. However, when he extended a hand of help to you, you failed to read it as God giving an answer to your prayers, and TOOK UP SUBTLE PRIDE TO TAKE "POSITIVE DECLARATION OUT OF CONTEXT".

Even in the midst of FAITH, we must be HUMBLE. God works in mysterious ways and he surely does look the proud afar off.

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time" - 1 Peter 5:6
Christianity EtcHow being "too religious" made me miss God's help by wahoom(op):
I just remembered an incident that happened to me years ago and I felt I should share it so we can all learn from it.

I am a believer and can be very religious atimes.

Some years back I was broke and had no cash at hand nor foodstuffs at home but i have a customer that I always collect foodstuff on credit to pay later.

However, that faithful Tuesday morning, my devotion was on a different level, I strongly felt the presence of God and tabled my "broke condition" to Him, and I felt a strong conviction in my spirit that help was coming. I know that feeling when it comes, I could almost touch it. I was 100% sure that God was sending help that morning though i didn't know how, so I started celebrating while i kept my phone open expecting the good news to come any moment.

Some few minutes after my prayers, my phone rang, it was Charles, a brother in my group in church that was calling and I was sure that was it.

After exchanging pleasantries, he posed the golden question "Bros, what's up with you, hope all is good?" and as a "good Christan" that I am, who has been taught to always declare "it is well" even in the well when all is not well in the name of positive confession, I quickly responded "all is well bro" and he probed further, " bro you can share with me if there's any issues, we are brothers in the Lord, are you sure all is well?" And I reassured him, "Bro Charles, all is very well".

So he ended the call, I know that God spoke to me and believe it MUST surely come to pass, so I was still very optimistic and expectant.
BTW, Bro Charles, has my account number because we have done transfers between us on several occasions.

I waited for a while, yet no alert or any form of help yet.

A few minutes later my phone rang again and lo and behold it was Charles again but this time his question was more direct "Bros, are you sure you are okay, have you eaten today?" and I responded "not yet bro". For the records I didn't even eat before going to bed the previous night because there was nothing at home.

He pushed further, "why haven't you eaten, are you fasting?" and I responded again with some assistance "all is well bro". So he hung up.

I was highly expectant and waited for alert or help to come by but nothing happened.

It was already about 6pm and i haven't even had breakfast and I wasn't even fasting.
So I began to loose patience and even started doubting who spoke to me. Could it truly be God or I was just imagining stuffs in my head.

To cut the long story short, I couldn't endure any more and had to give up.

I finally lost hope and had to go to my customer to buy food on credit before hunger go finish me.

God has lied or maybe I lied against God.

To prove that God is not a lair.

Fast forward Tuesday to Sunday after church service.

Bro Charles showed up and said " that Tuesday I called you, I felt the leading of the spirit to send you some money but I was ashamed to send you even if it was 2k because I didn't want to embarrass you that was why i was calling to be sure that you actually needed the money".

I felt bad about the whole episode and thought I would have just opened up to him and told him my exact condition rather than making unnecessary positive confession while I was dying in hunger.

The Lord used that experience to teach me some lessons:

1.It is not everytime that we need to be making positive confession sometimes you have to say it as it is.

2. Most importantly, it is not everytime that God speaks to us and we will expect it to just fall on us like a bag of cherry, we also have our part to play for God's word, prophecies and destinies to come to pass.

3. We can be praying for something even when the answer comes but because we are not sensitive enough we allow the answers pass us by.

A wise man once said that "Any prayer that has a 100% responsibility of performance placed on God to is an irresponsible prayer.

In conclusion, abeg who do we blame in the whole scenario.

1. God, for not convincing my friend enough to send me the money without calling me to make confirmations. After all, He's God and He can do all things and His word must surely come to pass.

2. Me, for not bet sensitive enough to open up to brother Charles and tell him my exact predicaments.

3. Bro Charles, for not acting fully in the Spirit by allowing his flesh to over take him to see before actiing.

MOD, please, move to the FP, let us learn.

dermmy:
Hmmmm. Yes God can lead you to marry someone you don't love. Yes! Capital YES

OK let me put it this way. God can lead you to someone your carnal nature does not love. And if you are in this situation you are still carnal. Carnality here does not mean you are a fornicator or pervert and the rest but you see we Christians who professed to be born again children of God still have some weakness and carnal expectations that manifest itself in this kind of scenario.

The time to choose your life partner is the time you yourself would know if you still crave for the things of the flesh or the will of God for your life

The will of God is to give you a partner that will give you peace in your marriage. A partner that will help you to serve God not a partner that I'll take your carnal cravings to the next level. Though I don't know what you want in a lady but what I know is the will of God at times doesn't always align with our own will because of our carnal nature.

It's so sad today that children of the most high God let their carnal nature to lead them. There are ladies in my church who want tall, 6 packs, rich and handsome guys. Guys want to marry busty, curvy and beautiful ladies too. These are children of God who claim to be walking in the spirit. I am not saying this is bad but these outside qualities we seek are not enough to give us good marital partners and it is so sad that we put these things first.

What if the guy does not know God. What if he is into alcohol, Indian hemp, womanizing and the rest. What if the lady is a LovePeddler. To us all that matters is the outside qualities. But all these outside qualities won't sustain your marriage. It is character.

You've prayed and fasted and God has given you confirmation yet your flesh is still going against the nudging of the Holy Ghost. Well, the will of God doesn't always go in line with our own will. In this case your flesh is still leading you but God won't force anyone on you. You have a free will in this regard so you can still go for your heart desire.

When it comes to marriage you have to accept some qualities about that lady/guy. For me all I want is a partner who loves God, a lady that will help my ministry and calling, a lady that will give me peace of mind and the bitter truth is her curves, big breast or beauty won't help my destiny but her character and the spirit of God in her.

That means purpose is what I seek in marriage not beauty that will fade one day.
I have tried to love her and accept her but she's far from me, she's in Abuja while I stay in Lagos. I have only seen her like 3 times or so, there's has been no opportunity for us to bond very well and that is also one of the reason the feelings has not been growing.

Am I supposed to ask her to relocate to Lagos?

Hi Fellow Nairalanders,

I have been trusting God for a spouse for a while now. I have prayed and fasted and even did all that is expected of me but unfortunately haven't been that lucky in relationships.

However, on the 1st of January, 2020,, I fell into a short trance where i saw myself with a lady in a thanksgivings procession in church. In that trance i felt an unspeakable joy and supernatural peace which lasted hours after the trance.

The lady in question was someone i met online but we had only met once prior to that time, however, we are very close as we chat almost every other day and had got to know a lot about each other online.

I wasn't too comfortable with the trance i had as i wasn't the physically attracted to the lady.

In April 2020, I had a dream where the lady visited me in my family house and my parents and siblings bonded well with her and in that dream my mum said quite a lot of postives about her and I also had that same supernatural peace I had in the trance even hours after waking up from sleep.

So, I started working on my emotions to like and accept her but each time i tried I hate her the more.

Recently, I told my mum about her and she said exactly everything she told me in the dream in verbatim. I was quite shocked and felt it could be divine and that got me working seriously through prayers and also trying to adjust my emotions to accommodate her but each time I see her, I just have hatred for her as I'm not in anyway attracted to her. I'm not feeling her, no excitement, no butterflies in the stomach, no longings to hang out with her, not even sexual attractions, everything is just flat.

So, I eventually decided to withdraw from her even though i felt there's this divine compulsion or better still divine leading that she's my wife.

Folks, please i need your help here.

Hence, this question, CAN GOD LEAD YOU TO MARRY SOMEONE YOU DON'T LOVE OR ATTEACTED TO?

Beloved,

It's not every prophecy that automatically comes to pass. There are prophecies that you need to activate by the force of prayer because the devil is also fighting against it.

Prophecies does not fall on you just like that you also have a role to play for it's manifestation.

Thank you bro. Please can you help me interpret my own dream? I've been dreaming for some days now seeing myself in secondary school with student writing exams or test, but I won't be able to write anything. Some do give me their script to write, butt I can't still write anything.=wahoom post=88764795]Dream is glimpse into happenings in the spiritual realm.

Dreams can come from 3 different sources;

1. Man
2.Demons
3.God.

Most times when you forget your dreams, it's a ploy from the enemies to make you ignorant of what is happening in the spiritual world.
It is the spiritual world that controls the physical, there's nothing that happens in the physical that is not concluded 8n the spiritual.

There are some people that are summoned to meetings and they go and commit havocs unconsciously and come back without even knowing they are witches, so sometimes, the devil steals our dream so we would not be privy to what is happening.

I have a friend that used to see herself swimming in a river, she thought it was normal until she eventually realised she belongs to the marine world after some years.

It's not normal to forget your dream.

Pray against dream thieves and also write your dreams anytime you wake up even at midnight.

I used to have that same issue too, so what I did was, once I wake I type the dream on my fone and save it.

Guess what Bro, I found out that nothing happens without me having an idea.
Most of my dream is like a prophecy and helps to guide me in some of the steps I take daily.
There's something you are afraid of, maybe a decision you are afraid to take or you are procrastinating over an issue even when people have given you godly advice and tried to assist yet you are still not convinced to take a stand or face that issue squarely.
Hence, it will be difficult for you to move to the next level if you don't confront that challenge NOW!

Especially as a committed christian that you claim, you should be able to draw the line between what is right, what is wrong and the things that are not wrong but will stain christianity....

1 Cor 8.8- 12..... there are things we avoid not because the bible explicitly said so but because they can be a stumbling block to Christianity....

I only responded because of your claims of being committed and your attendance at a bible school.... Your claims prove that you are in a position to be a stumbling block to others, so be careful..... its not all about you but about the people that look up to you and believe that you have a better understanding of God than they do.

I am not even impressed that the said Bible school didnt even try to repackage your idea about alcohol.
I'm not here to impress you or anybody, I live a very transparent lifestyle, I am not claiming perfection.

If its a good dream, you pray for the manifestation but if its a bad one, you pray against it.

Yes, there are dreams that happens by dwelling our thoughts on somethings are seen in Ecl 5 vs 3, those ones dosent have any impact on someone.

Do you know there are strange sicknesses that happens to people because they had sex in the dream.

I have a friend that had like 5 miscarriages, and it happens anytime she dreams of someone having sex with her on the dream we had to go into prayers before God showed her mercy.

I will appreciate it if you could help me with any insight in relation to dreams.I'm a conservative Christian, and I dream a lot. Virtually all my dreams are prophetic such that those who know me well see me as a prophet, though I don't know yet if that is what prophecy entails. I noticed since the time I started having a good relationship with my God, that someone used to reveal anyone who is about to die around me to me through dreams. And it would happen exactly. It started first with my daddy; I saw him dead when he was sick and I quickly went into fasting and prayer for him, but he still died, a Muslim. I so got angry with God and almost backslided for not saving my lovely daddy who has remained my only hero. It continues afterwards since then. Believe me anyone that is about to die around me, I'll be told in dreams but I wouldn't be able to do anything about it. One still happened in February and I told my brother. Days after the said neighbor died exactly. When it happened this way, I usually feel guilty and helpless, knowing someone is about to die and can't help it. This has been disturbing my heart. What do you think I can do sir, especially to help those I see about to die?
I also used to have good dreams coming to pass too. Through dreams for instance, I already know who I will be in the future etc
NOTE: there are some dreams that comes by what we dwell our thoughts on most times as referenced in the Bible in Elc 5 vs 3. Such dream does not have any impact.

Like I said, dreams are glimpse of what is happening in the spiritual realm and the spiritual realm controls the physical hence the most effectual way to interfare in the spiritual is prayer.
Pray targeted prayers with the word of God that relates to the dream and secondly try to withdraw yourself from the scenero when you see a negative dream playing out in real life.

I do sport betting sometimes and most of my big wins comes when I see myself win in the dream.
There are times I dream of having a fight with someone what I do is to try and be cautious with my dealing with that person or avoid him for sometime and also praying.

Our dreams has different interpretation based on our peculiarity.
Some people's dreams come to past exactly the opposite of what they dreamt of, some happens immediately, some long time. If you are able to understand peculiarity of your dream, it will be easy for you to use it in your favour.

My dreams always happens within 24 hours except in rare cases.
