You also probably have faults that you would want someone to overlook.
instead of just looking for your own criteria make sure you also have the full the criteria a woman wants.
Being religious isn't enough. You have to possess other skills and mindsets that are essential to making a relationship work .
Are u social? Are u too uptight? Are u judge mental? Are u a man who takes control or do u seek approval from your pastor and others ? Romantic or rigid?
It takes a lot more than Religion to make a relationship work. That is just one part of the puzzle. The rest is attitude!

I totally understand how the OP feels because i've felt same way a number of times. I once broke up wit a guy cos he was angry i didnt allow him have se.x with me. I had to let him go his way when he told me he's gotten himself another girl to satisfy his desires! I just dont understand most believers these days! They just cant do without mixing the christian way of life with some worldliness. I hear born again believers tell me its not just possible to keep up with the bible's standard of living and i just wonder what then the grace of God and God's Holy Spirit  are meant for?! Yea, mistakes happen at times but outrightly adopting and living by worldly standards as a child of God is wrong. I've heard my believing engaged friends tell me they'd like to get pregnant before the wedding and they get upset when i point out to them its not right as a child of God (which they know fully well). God will indeed help our generation.
@OP it is better to obey God than man. There are still godly believers around like you. Just be patient and you'll find one soon.

Abeg for get that standard matter jor,  I don't believe all you are saying. I think you are the problem and not the ladies you come across. How do you recognize girls that meet your standard when you only look at them but don't see them?. Following your thread from the first page, I can see some green lights from some ladies. The fact that you do not see these green lights gives me an understanding of the type of guy you are. If you ignore all the girls in the US because of stereotyping (that all girls in US do not have a good moral standard) then you will continue to sit on the long thing for a very long time. I am not discouraging you from looking for Nigeria based ladies. My own opinion/question is; if you find it hard to discover the best girl for you while physically in Nigeria, then why do you think you will find it easy to discover a Nigerian born/based girl that meet your standard when you are no more in Nigeria?

My friend, sharpen you eyes and be logical in the standard you set. Get it clear. You cannot find everything you need in a single lady. And talking about moral standard. Just within 4 months in US, the second girl I slept with was a virgin in her mid 20s. Just this last Sunday, another girl of 27 in my church was telling me how her boy friend broke up with her because the guy is frustrated. According to her, their agreement was No marriage, No sex. They guy waited for 2 years, and still no sex; and the guy isn't ready for marriage yet. Frustrated, he called it off. And that is here in the US. She was born and raised here. A Nigerian, and Yoruba girl. So what are you talking about? So, would you say these ladies of 25 and 27 who are still virgins here in the US as at January this year are not better than lots of under 20s that are already committing abortion in Nigeria? A place we assume to be of a high moral standard. I simply believe the problem is you or the place you are looking out for them. Or probably, its not yet your time to discover your taste.

My final advice for you is that; do not judge all girls by the way they dress here. There are lots of girls who will be comfortable putting on Minis and are still virgins. Meanwhile there are lots of them without hearings, covering all their bodies and dieing in the church. But they are worse than harlots. So, I am not hopeless about the ladies in our generation. You only need to take your time to get close to them (without first judgement), open your eyes and that way you can see the ones that meet your standard if not even better. Bye-bye

Im not the bad conscience here but aint that what christainity is all about: patience and perseverance. A man should not be in a hurry like that to marry now. You should pray and wait on the Lord to reveal your wife to you then consult your pastor to help you all the away, pastors always know the single sisters cos they come for counselling for stuffs like this.
