I cheated for a long while, emotionally attached to my boyfriend now my husband and physically and sexually attached to a man who was sponsoring my education. I dont know how but somehow i was able to play it very well that my bf didnt know. I ended it all with his understanding though when i was about getting married. FamilyRe: He Is Not Attractive. What Can I Do? by wakagirl: 1:51pm On Apr 15, 2009
Dis reminds me of a lady who i was with one day where she works and a coleaque of hers came in adn they were talking about an ex coleaque who was disturbing her to marry her in her old work place, this lady was telling her friend how ugly the guy was and all that and that he even had a tribal mark and that was why she could not marry him, another friend came in and met them on the topic and now informed them that the guy has made it now o infact he is a big boy now and married with kids, and has a very big 4 3bed flat somewhere in Lagos where he lives with his family.

Come and see the look on anty Shade's face, she was shocked she couldnt hide her regret and accidentally said wao! how she wish she considered him then but for his ugly looks and tribal marks. The worst is that she eventually married a not too handsome man who also had tribal mark but she only married him when she realised no better person was coming and she was around 39, meanwhile the previous tribal mark man had left the company for another job where he became a big guy and she had to make do with another tribal jobless man. Life.

CelebritiesWhy Ibinabo Must Go To Jail by wakagirl(op): 8:48pm On Mar 13, 2009
For someone who caused the death of another person by dangerous driving, discretion should be exercised judicially and not recklessly.

Ibinabo Fiberesima “The nature of the offence is so grave that I do not know how he (the magistrate) came about an option of fine. Justice is a three-way affair. “N100,000 fine is not a reasonable judgment for someone who has taken the life of another person.

“I hereby set aside the judgment of the magistrate’s court and impose five years imprisonment on the convict.
“1 also order that the N100,000 fine paid by the convict should not be returned to her.”— Justice Oluwayemi

IT’s no longer news that ex- beauty queen and star actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima was last Friday sentenced to a five year prison term by Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of the Lagos High Court for manslaughter involving the death of a medical doctor, Dr. Suraj Giwa.

The sentence stemmed from an appeal by the Lagos state Government against the verdict of an Igbosere magistrate court which had earlier given Ibinabo a seven jail term or a fine of N100,000.00

That sentence triggered a horrendous health issue which has landed Ibinabo at an undisclosed hospital with doctors battling frantically to save her life.

Beyond that, her family has also risen to the occasion and their lawyers have filed a motion for stay of execution of the judgement. This motion will come up for hearing at a Lagos High court on March 19, 2009. The suit No. LCD/4CA/07 is handled by the family lawyers, Kamalu, Wodu &Associates as well as the appeal.

This means that the actress will not be arrested or committed to jail pending the determination of the motion for stay of execution and bail pending her appeal.

According to her family, While Ibinabo is not asking for preferential treatment in this ordeal, she is asking all, for their kind understanding as battles for and her through equity and justice.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, had in 2005 charged Fiberesirna to the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on a two-count charge of dangerous and reckless driving on the Epe Expressway, Lagos, that led to Giwa’s death.

In his judgment Magistrate Isaacs found Fiberesima guilty on the two -count charge and sentenced her to seven years’’ imprisonment for count one and two years imprisonment for counts two.

The magistrate, however, gave the convict the option of payingN100,000 fine to regain her freedom. The ex-beauty queen reportedly paid the fine and was let off the hook. But the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice. dissatisfied with the sentence of Magistrate Isaacs and filed a notice of appeal at the Lagos High Court.

The Lagos AG added that the magistrate’s court had wrongfully exercised its discretion in a matter that attracts seven years’ imprisonment without an option of fine.

The Lagos AG, therefore, urged the court to set aside the lower court’s verdict and give an appropriate sentence.

But Fiberesima had in her statement of defence by her lawyer, Mr. Lanre Lambo, argued that the lower court had the opportunity to impartially observe her demeanour throughout the trial period before given her the option of fine.

Last week Friday justice prevailed in favour of Lagos State when Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of a Lagos High Court sentenced the former beauty queen and popular actress, to a five years imprisonment for manslaughter, involving the death of the medical doctor, Mr. Suraj Giwa.

Delivering her judgment in the appeal filed by the Lagos State Government against the verdict of the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on Friday, Justice Oluwayemi held that the N100.000 fine, imposed by the lower court on Fiberesima was tantamount to judicial recklessness.

According to the judge, it’s unreasonable for a magistrate to give an option of NI00,000 fine to someone who has taken the life of another person through dangerous driving.

The judge added that Section 28 of the Road Traffic Law. Cap RIO Laws of Lagos State, 2003 on which the convict was found guilty, did not give an option of fine.

Justice Oluwayemi held that the magistrate misdirected himself and might have been confused by the illocution (plea for leniency) by the lawyer to the convict the ex-beauty queen who was a working mother.

She added that when the term of imprisonment was mandatory, the court could not change it
She said. ‘1 hold that the magistrate exercised judicial recklessness in giving her option of fine when such is not contained in the traffic law.

For someone who caused the death of another person by dangerous driving. Discretion should be exercised judicially and not recklessly.

“The nature of the offence is so grave that I do not know how he (the magistrate) came about with an option of fine. Justice is a three-way affair. N100,000 fine is not a reasonable judgment for someone who has taken the life of another person.

“I hereby set aside the judgment of the magistrate’s court and impose five years imprisonment on the convict. I also order that the N100,000 fine paid by the convict should not be returned to her.”

‘I’ll Run For Presidency’—Pastor Bakare
3 hours ago, 730 views

By Eromosele Ebhomele

Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare, has expressed interest to contest for the presidency of Nigeria in 2011.

Speaking during a service in his church to celebrate the emergence of Senator Barack Obama as the first black man to rule America, Pastor Bakare declared that the pulpit was not his last bus stop.

“Who told you this is my last bus stop? If God wants me to rule, why not, but I am not desperate,” he told a stunned audience.

He added that he would be in Nigeria to influence the emergence of a more favourable candidate, who would move the “people to the promised land.”

-cover-10-november-2.jpg

Stressing his resolve, he said, “some people have said I am crazy, but I don’t care what you call me. It takes to be crazy to identify one. This is our time and every McCain would testify, every Hilary Clinton will testify. Our enemies will testify and I believe this with every drop of my blood.

“I see it happening in Nigeria shortly. God will raise somebody that would galvanise the people and together they would say no to oppression, no to suppression and no to corruption,” Bakare said, adding that only this can release Nigerians from bondage under which they are groaning.

“We need to do this because nothing dies more quickly than a sound idea in a closed mind.”

Delivering a sermon entitled American Election 2008: God’s Perspective, Pastor Bakare declared that he would be in Nigeria in 2010 to help source for a candidate.

He told the congregation that he was not going to sit and watch the country and its people denied their rights.

Urging Nigerians to be mindful that they have equal rights with the president and other political office holders, the fiery pastor said “when it is our time, they will give way for us. I see what happened to Obama happening in Nigeria. It does not matter how powerful the incumbent president is. It does not matter the machinery of violence at his disposal. When the people say enough is enough, it would definitely be enough.”

Bakare, who had predicted the emergence of Barack Obama in May 1999, when he said God was raising “a black man of influence to rule America,” added that the new generation of politicians that would take over the leadership of Nigeria would not belong to any of the present political parties. They will emerge “through a new party—the New Nigeria Progressive Party (NNPP).”

Speaking on the health of President Umaru Yar’Adua, the lawyer turned pastor screamed that “I have continued to say the presidency is not a birthright. It is not an inheritance. If your health cannot carry it, Umaru, go home. Leave the place for those who can steer the ship. Give it to somebody much more competent than you are. If the Supreme Court cannot do the job, we will do it in 2011.”

Obviously the headline was to sell the paper

well if you became literate beocs of adultery, it means you are still benefitting from the adultery (even if it was in the past) at least the education did not leave you after the adultery ended. Maybe you want to share your experience with us, i am all ears wink
HUMMMMM thank God you are not God whatever happens to forgiveness.
If you want to gbeborun about me i'll let u into it briefly. I finished secondary school through hardship of the highest order so going further was practically impossible because there wasnt even money to buy jamb form. Being a church girl from youth i sought help from a number of my spiritual fathers inc my pastor (of a pentecostal church), my sunday school teacher and others in the church. Everyone knew my background and my difficulty but then no one was ready to help a fatherless girl. The few ones that offered to help (my sunday school teacher, one of my senior pastors) offered to help if i allowed them sleep with me. One of them who invited me to an hotel (the senior pastor) left me walking an unbelievable distance home because i refused to sleep with him, he refused when i asked 4 transport money, he showed me huge amount of money and then said if i agree all the money is mine but because of my religious upbringing i refused and had to walk home.
When all effort to get help from spiritual and blood family proved abortive and i had d determination to further my education i sought help from someone else (outside the church) he felt for me and agreed to help without a condition and then along d line he came up with same. At this point i knew there was no more begging around and somehow though against my wish i agreed and commited furnication with him througout my uni years.

Se u have heard enough? Judge me if u wish but i really care less if the people preaching to me on sundays asked to sleep wt me before they could give me whatever miserable assistance to go through school.

No adultry is never good but might be neccessary at times. Like i would likely have been an illiterate, might have ended up married to an illiterate and would likely have been wallowing in abject poverty. Well, nothing can make adultry/furnication right anyway but pray you are not pushed to the wall. May God forgive me us all

Honestly i still wonder why men cheat. I have seen lots of men i could vouch for cheating and i still cant reason why. I was involved in this kind of mess before it wasnt by my choice but whatever. I have been let down by people who were supposed to just help and forget it there but always demanded for 'it'. As a very poor girl trying to survive i sought help from 3 of my pastors, my sunday school teacher, and some very respectable men i never believed can ever be involved in such but was let down because i was not ready to spread my legs wide. These are people you would respect so much, with responsible families, beautiful wives and wonderful children and sadly someone who would tell you on sunday not to be involved in furnication and on Monday you go to them to help with school fees and will request you follow them to hotels.
I still believe there is a reason they cheat but cant come to a conclusion yet. With my exp i dont ever believe any man is a saint though inside me i know they can not all be cheats but i find it hard to belive.
