Business › Re: Begging Culture In Nigeria Commercial Hubs by Walai(m): 6:49pm On Sep 27, 2025
Not true bro, lets stop this exaggeration. Beggers don't make any millions like we make it appear. With all those 100 and 50 notes and sometimes 1000 note once in a long while highest they can make is 1500-3000 per good day. Factor in feeding and other exigencies.
FYI, money get spirit, you can't have millions in your acct and still get mind to beg, you go want upgrade.

Kingosytex:
Many of them are actually richer than you can imagine.
Someone used begging to build a one storey building in my village in the early 2000s.

Peter Obi should not contest primary with Atiku whose strategy since time immemorial is the sharing of dollars to delegates. Any candidate that spends dollars to acquire ticket always end up a disaster when elected. Instead of going from frying pan to fire lets kukuma remain in the frying pan.

Exousiang01:
Let Peter go and test his political weight at the primaries like every other contender, Peter is always looking for free ticket, how a man who doesn't have the balls to fight at the primaries feels he can win the main election makes us all wonder the kind of politician he is.
They went begging Johnathan to step down now they are begging Atiku

A married lady complained to me that her husband stays indoors too much, that he hardly goes out to socialize with other men and make life changing connections . She wished her husband is like me that socialize easily. If not for my strong principles, I nearly piped her. Believe this gender at your own risk.

Politics › Re: Don't Forget, While Nigeria Economy Was In Peril, Wike Bought Rolls Royce by Walai(m): 5:51am On Sep 22, 2025
An American President cant afford to buy Rolls Royce from his salary as a President unless it is gifted to him. Not even the UK prime Minister where the car is manufactured but a governor in the world's poorest country whose only job is politics bought one and as usual, brain washed supporters who cant afford three square healthy meals will still hail him.

Like someone said here on this forum, we will see how he will end up after supporting evil at every given opportunity. History have witnessed a lot of people like him and how they ended up.

Racoon:
See how you are always downplaying serious national issues because of warped prismatic reasoning. Why are you not asking for a thorough investigation of this matter.

Wike wife is a public servant still serving government in Nigeria and the public service act forbade them from acquiring property while in office. This is an international embarrassment to this nation.

Nothing new! You were called out here on this thread; https://www.nairaland.com/8522955/fg-conditional-funds-transfer-social but as usual you dodged because this is your hypocritical nature of defending criminals and criminality in this govt. God help your cause.

Politics › National Orientation Agency Is The Problem Of Nigeria by Walai(op): 11:56am On Sep 20, 2025
A whole lot of rumours is spreading on the social media about the new tax bill, people are getting apprehensive. Some are already planning to bury their money in the ground while we have an agency responsible for educating the public. The national Orientation Agency in early 2000's was very vibrant. It helped reach out to the public on important national policies but what we have today is just another agency collecting budget allocation and doing nothing.
If we are paying VAT for all transactions and employers are deducting tax before they pay salary, how will the deduction from people account be calculated?
If someone send me money to let's say but something for him, how will I be taxed for the money when I have already paid VAT and other charges for the money entering my account? These are questions and more that need answers

They don't know what is coming. The biggest mistake APC made is suppressing the 2024 protest without addressing the key issues.
The real protest is on election day.We will keep 50 days long wake keeping on all INEC offices before, during and after the election at the ward, local government, state and national level. Let me see how the rigging will take place.

I don't know your ancestors but my own ancestors protected their household every night and there was no single day women and children were killed all through our thousands years old history aside men who died in wars.
FYI, these men never slept like cowards yet none of them died below the age of 90.
Like I said, I don't know who your ancestors are but my own ancestors were brave men

Kobojunkie:
It is not a normal instinct for either the men or women who do it. It is linked to fear and lack of control. That could all lead to serious medical problems if left untreated. undecided

2. Your ancestors protected their many wives and children yet records have it that killing of wives and children were common place during the time of these same ancestors? Come on naw! Make una dey lie small small...😩😩😩
Family › Re: Habit Of Waking Up Always To Check My Family At Night. by Walai(m): 12:32pm On Sep 14, 2025
This one na normal instinct for men nah. Too many oestrogens in our foods that reduced manliness is what made this look strange.
Our ancestors protected their many wives and children by going round the compound with machete in hand in the night while the women and children slept to defend against invaders.

Unfortunately for you and your likes, breeze don blow and we don see fowl nyash.
You guys played this same game on Jimi Agbaje, at a point I almost thought he is an Igbo man disguising as Lagosian. We have seen all your cards. Nigerians and real Lagosians can no longer be deceived.

Buccalcavity2:
The ship has sailed. He can't be Lagos governor. He shouldn't have allowed the ethnic conversation to fester. I mentioned it then. Even if others are discussing that, he should have avoided it. Bad strategy.

Education › Re: Where Utme Best Candidates Chose To Study by Walai(m): 7:26pm On Sep 09, 2025
All these grammar and UNILAG is not among the first 1000 university in the world I mean 1000 not 100. Local champion indeed.
All Nigerian Universities need serious intervention, stop all these over hyping.

FreeStuffsNG:
I am not surprised wink

University of Lagos(UNILAG) is the university of first choice for the best of the best.

UNILAG has for years had a unique and high standards of admission; from insisting on minimum age of 16 for admission when others accept under-age, to accepting only one sitting in your o'level a when other schools accept 'combined' o'level result and insisting on Further Mathematics for all Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics when others accept only General Mathematics.

In spite of these requirements that other universities don't use for admission, most of the smart and brilliant students choose UNILAG. Unfortunately, it is this high standard that has made some people envious of UNILAG because many don't make it to UNILAG. Many ended in other schools because of the high admission standards of UNILAG and they feel aggrieved almost for their whole life time.

If you want to earn the highly sought after UNILAG admission, study very very hard and aim to be on only the merit list. If you don't make the merit list for your chosen course, you will struggle with many others below the high UNILAG admission bar.

No be everybody get the mental strength to move on.
Check my previous thread I created around 2021 that was on front page. A girl I invested heavily on hoping to marry her, already met her widowed mom and even empowered her mom's business. Brought them out of their face me I slap you house and rented a two bedroom then for them. This same girl started dating and sleeping with an abroad returnee who promised her marriage which turned out a scam. Her mom is even aware and I didn't know what was going on because I was out of town then.
I nearly ran mad that year. Funny enough, it was nairaland that saved me through Ubunja thread.
Relationship is not for the weak seriously

Business › Re: What's Happening To Shoprite At Ikeja City Mall? by Walai(m): 6:01pm On Sep 04, 2025
You just said same thing I have been saying albeit from another perspective. The upper middle class have levels. They will rather patronize ShopRite than the smaller malls because it offers more class.
If you have been to SA like someone pointed out here, the upper middle class hardly patronize the smaller malls, they prefer the big top echelon malls. Same thing here but our situation is that most of the upper middle class have left.
Infact, before we tailored our services where I worked which I won't disclose here to target only the upper middle class that have the purchasing power but currently we have watered down things to serve even mama Ebuka that can only offer 20k. That's how bad it is.

theredaddy:
Ordinarily its convenient to think shoprite is going down becos of economic hardship/ eroded purchasin power .... Nah

The problem shoprite had is " Positioning" and "failure to evolve" what do i mean

Positioning : shoprite are only situated in highbrow areas and non residential areas But gone are those days people can over look transport cost and stress to reach shoprite to buy bread when Bokku, jendol, justrite and various mini mall are spring up all around areas/neighborhood

The question is why do i have to leave abule egba n go to ikeja mall, when justrite and jendol are nearby and its like that for almost everybody now .... bokku is even crazy obasa just dey mount everywhere

No doubts, Competition is what hit shoprite, If they were strategic they would have evolve into smaller super markets across residential areas tew.

peak milk saw it was going down dey had to evolve into cube milk like hollandia 🤣 most companies now do smaller pack of there product just to survive competitions ...

We've outgrown going to shoprite to take pictures abi folake4u 🤣
