If APC lose 2027 election,
Fubara will head to the court to challenge the legality of his removal as an elected Governor.
The Supreme Court (now freed from political interference) will declare the removal illegal.
With the judgement, he will head to the courts again, this time for completion of his tenure (cut short by 6 months) in line with the constitutional provisions, his tenure will be extended and any Rivers governor elected in 2027 if not Fubara will have to step down for him to complete his tenure.

The more I try to understand the crisis in PDP, the more confusing it becomes. Before now I used to think that the National Chairman is the CEO of political parties who answers only to the incumbent President (in the case of the incumbent party).
How come PDP is in turmoil not because of the National Chairman position but the National Secretary?
I over heard Wike in one of his interviews saying that the Chairman cannot convey a NEC meeting or even present a candidate to INEC without the National Secretary's approval.
