Mrlekan07034617:Have u subcribed to a data package with glo? If you have, set your apn to default settings for your package If it doesn't work it could be that you ask device is still locked to another network |
Yudeeaikay:what OS are you on? |
Deeni131:reset your APN to default and you should be able browse on a PAYG |
Therein potentially lies the problem. If you bought the charger in traffic or any of the other many shady charger seller outlets all over the place, you probably bought a China charger To narrow the problem, look for someone with a BlackBerry 10 device who has the original manufacturer's charger that cam with the phone, use their charger on your BlackBerry and see if it charges faster...if it does then you know the problem is with the charger you're using....if not then the problem is with the phone |
Sammiel:why do u want to buy a phone that is locked and then spend money to unlock it? |
oloriTj:are you using the charger that was included with the phone? |
ameynuJR:i will advise you to buy a Passport (if you want a physical keyboard) or the Z30 (if you want a virtual keyboard) rather than buying a Q10... Passport and Z30 have newer hardware compared to the Q10 Glo is your best BIS option |
you probably loaded the wrong OS for your device model....Install Blackberry Link on a PC and use it to restore the phones to the official OS for the Q10 |
i am still unsure what settings control how long before call logs disappear...as i'm typing right now, i can only see my call logs as far back as 7th September which is less than 3 months if i come across anything, i'll share and other here might chip in something |

cropping pictures is automatic if the picture is not sized 1:1. once you choose the picture to use as your dp, BB10 shows you where you can select the part of the picture you want to show |
Berniceakin:Check BlackBerry World...many voice recorders available |
b2k90:I don't know of any solution to your challenge at this point...you probably bought a stolen phone and if it's not too late, I'll suggest you return it to the person you bought it from |
There's no cheaper network than glo on data pricing for BlackBerry however an alternative network with good BlackBerry data package is airtel |
temmyt20: cyonujemen:Folks, the problem you're experiencing is actually a function of how you save your contacts....BB10 requires you to take extra time to save your contacts properly...Names, email, number, BBM etc...most people are guilty of saving multiple contacts with the same name on their phone and that makes it hard for artificial intelligence to know which one to combine with what The OS tries to intelligently combines contacts that have common data...e.g. if you have two friends saved as adex and chukwu but the mobile numbers are different but the email address is the same, the phone will link them together if you take time to save contacts names (first name and last name) properly that will make your experience more fun |
noob03saibot:you need to install BlackBerry Link program on your pc or laptop. if you dont have pc or laptop, you can use the cloud i.e. dropbox - check my signature below to signup....BOX, Onedrive etc. you will find dropbox and box on your device already |
fashrola:be careful with this....the cable that will work with a BB10 device is different from regular TV HDMI cable that is sold in just any electronics store |
adeyemi2015:You can connect the z10 to a TV via the hdmi out on the left side of the phone or you can connect via DLNA if your plasma can connect to to wifi |
Tbliss12:US phones are mostly network locked unless it's specifically stated as unlocked. The way out is to do an unlock |
simdam500:Changed BlackBerry Protect ID? I don't understand pls expantiate If you have the latest OS installed, what you do is to get on BlackBerry Protect and set a device password and even send a message to the device. Chances are high the person who stole the device will not start using it immediately so give it time Sorry about the loss |
simdam500:Yep...you check your OS version on your device.. Settings->about..tap dropdown and check 'OS' |
simdam500:check protect.blackberry.com...log in with your BBID and password...you will see your device listed and you will see a small icon that says your device is 'anti-theft protected' confirm that your current OS says 10.3.2.xxxx |
you can update your device without a PC if you have an internet enabled wifi |
FOR YOU INFORMATION/ACTION 'Quickteller mini' app is available on BlackBerry World....it allows you to integrate your BBM with Quickteller and you can use it to make and receive payments Folks, Lets give Interswitch a BIG UP by downloading the app so they know we appreciate their effort |
try a VPN app...there are a few available on BB World |
I'm an Arsenal fan so I'm used to business profit taking precedence over fans' wants and needs John Chen answers to the Board and shareholders...not users. the easiest way to keep his job is to give them dividend. Since not enough people are buying BB10 devices, he had to look for an alternative |
Yes glo bis works |
yhellow:First off, a BB10 must be associated with a BBID...you can change the BBID associated with the device but you can't 'sign out'. even when you wipe, you still have to associate the device with another BBID before you can continue using it settings->BlackBerry ID... |
private browsing has always been available. it just allows you to browse anonymously. open your browser and tap the 3 dots on the bottom right to get started |
Ha you tried to search on BlackBerry world? If you can't find one you like, try amazon appstore. Just type 'vpn' without the quotes a you should get suggestions Both apps are on your device already |
How much call log, Text messages and emails th saved on the device is a function of available internal memory and its dynamic If you have many apps installed and use up a large chunk of the 16gb internal memory, the phone will be optimizing by deleting old call logs and text messages Advise: free up as much space as you can. Uninstall apps you don't use. Save your pictures, music and videos on a SD card |
Ollah1, Your opinion or my opinion on what's going to happen or what should happen doesn't matter. You're not in any position to influence the company. Most of your analysis and conclusions are flawed You're entitled to your views but I still insist that this thread is not for airing views and opinions but for providing help and support to BlackBerry 10 users Stay with facts only. Feel free to create a commentary thread to share your views I trust this 'post of mine' will be the last post on this issue |
tunnyflow:The company is exploring options. making a BlackBerry hardware running android OS sounds strange to most people BUT the truth is that the new BB10 OS actually has the same origin as the android OS (one of the reason it was easy to make it possible to install android apps) BlackBerry the company has lost a lot of market/ consumer goodwill over the year and despite the BB10 OS being better and more secure than any other OS, most people who used the old BBOS are still just too traumatized to even check out BB again to know that the OS is now different and that has also carried over to app developers who are the ones who make any OS tick the future is not cast in stone, anything can happen |
