mekstaniac: Glo is still the best option mehn. Dis airtel 3gb for 1k is scam. Even on 2g, my data drains way too fast. Probably the 3gb displaying here is deceit walcolm: Believe me you're not going to get 3gb of data...you'll only get 1gb Looks like airtel has finally figured out a way to ensure data billing is the same across board So long as you're using BlackBerry 10 or android and iPhone, data is 1gb for 1k even if you subscribe to the 3gb for 1k bis plan...it's only legacy BlackBerry devices running OS7 and below that can access the full data The logic is simple....those devices are too slow to consume all that data so they don't mind giving it but for modern devices with capacity for big data, data is more expensive The quote above is the answer to your observation |

If No, how much is Etisalat sub. For BlackBerry 10?
Thx If you do a simple search on this thread you'd see the answer to the question No you cannot use etisalat bis on BlackBerry 10 devices. You have to buy the expensive BlackBerry 10 data plan that etisalat offers |

Nonsense! so because Tarfa is a lawyer he cannot be arrested? If his hands are clean, then the NBA and it's rank of corrupt SANs should have nothing to worry
The judiciary in this country can move forward if the current corrupt and greedy lawyers and judges are purged from the system
If you want to defend an accused person you must have no skeleton in your cupboard |

Business › Re: CBN Introduces Current Account Maintenance Fee by walcolm(m): 9:49am On Feb 03, 2016 |
the part i dont get is that almost all these people making noise about the negotiable N1/mille maintenance charge have been happily paying N5/mille COT for many years...now that the burden has been reduced by N4/mille, we are making noise and calling CBN/CBN governor/FGN names
in simple terms, COT at N5/mille translates to the bank taking N500 + 5% tax from your account every time you withdraw 100k. Now however, the bank can only take a maximum of N100+5% tax from your account and even that amount can be negotiated downwards which is why the CBN called it negotiable!!!! but we are making noise and calling everybody names... i really don't get it |

you have to get a pC with stable internet connection. download and install BlackBerry Link. open the program and connect your device to the PC with the usb cable that cane with your device BlackBerry Link will detect your device and you should look for the option to update your device. leave the rest to the PC |

Mobile Hotspot taxes your network radio which in turn taxes your battery
Your device radio is receiving GSM signal and also acting as a transmitter at the same time which will require a lot of power and that makes your battery hot....once your battery becomes hot it will loose charge very fast....remember your secondary school conservation of energy principles
Solution, keep your device plugged in when you're using it a Hotspot and keep your device on a cool surface to keep the battery temp down |

PNomsule: Hello Walcolm, I'm gladdened u are willing to help. Kindly, could u give me the step by step method to tracking back my saved contacts as I'm sure I never switched off the backup option. just reconfigure your email address on the phone go to 'seetings' -> 'accounts' add the email addresses (yahoo, gmail etc) you had on the phone previously, and you should be able to see all the contacts in your phone book again |

PNomsule: Hopefully someone here could be of immense help; I recently had my Z10 OS upgraded to the latest software because it was turning off at will, my qualm now is that the technician told me he can't backup my data except it's transferred to an M-stick which we did, sadly my contacts were lost cos he claimed it couldn't be backed-up and although I previously enabled BlackBerry Protect yet I still can't track my contacts. Is it possible that the technicians claim was correct, also is BlackBerry Protect useless in this circumstance? Your sustained and trusted opinion will be appreciated greatly. Unless you specifically switched off th option, all phone numbers you have ever saved to your z10 are in the contacts for your email address that you had configured on the phone |

To upgrade OTA you need at least 4gb unhindered space which is impossible once u start installing apps Your option is to use a pc with BlackBerry link for the update |

In BlackBerry 10, all devices can be on the same OS version. Just install the latest official OS that has been pushed to your device and stop worrying |

Osinitu: Good day tech gurus, special regards to walcolm, Please I downloaded blackberry link but upon installation it's giving an error message that the installiation couldn't continue I tried downloading again I got the same response. I am thinking maybe because I run 64 bit operating system. Please has anyone encountered such problem?? Is blackberry link for 64 bit different??
Thanks
Cc walcolm which site did you download from...all my systems are 64bit so i know thats not the problem...if you downloaded the program from your PC it will only download the 64bit version that's suitable for your PC download directly from BlackBerry website |

smartigo: I am currently subscribed to that plan and is working fine. To check your data just dial *141*1# then press 1 you will get a text displaying your data.
@walcolm pls what is the difference btw airtel 1k for 3G n 1.5k for unlimited 3G? I finally figured out the difference!!! both plans give you 3GB data cap but the 'unlimited' means the data is not limited to Legacy BlackBerry Devices!!!!!...which is why it is 1.5k while the other is 1k and cannot be used on androids |

Osinitu: Good evening 'brosssses'
Please I have a complaint. I tried updating my BlackBerry z3 OS for the first time to 10.3...., when it got to 2% it started complaining that I should free more memory. I cleared all the data on the phone to the memory card to the point that the memory card even crashed( very painful as I lost most of my files) yet it was still complaining that I should free more memory, at that point a tech guy suggested I performed a security swipe which I did.
After the swipe, I started the update again till it downloaded up too 100% then it started installing I dropped the phone to check something else as the installiation was going on, only for me to return and discover that instead of installing it started the download again......,i was so passed at this point but I left it to continue the download. After abt 10% download it staryed complaining that I should free some memory when nothing was on it.....
Please I want to ask what the way forward is, any suggestions as to what I did wrong and how I can right the wrong ??thanks
Cc walcolm i take it you were updating OTA? if you use that method, your device will update 'cumulatively' meaning some older updates are required to be downloaded and installed before newer ones can be installed which is why you experienced what you have experienced...with some of the updates requiring as much as 4GB of free unhindered space from the measly 8GB internal memory on the Z3, its almost impossible to do OTA updates the solution is to use BlackBerry Link for the Update...BB Link will download the update file to the PC (could be as large as 1.5GB), Unpack it to the PC (another 1.5GB-2GB) and Install the required files to the device so my friend, don't loose hope ... all you need is a PC/Laptop with stable internet connection, BlackBerry Link program installed on the PC and a USB cable to connect the Z3 to the PC/Laptop |
Phones › Re: Blackberry 10 Devices Home: Z10, Q10 Etc by walcolm(op): 7:30am On Jan 05, 2016 |
the easiest was to find out is to put the sim in your Q10 and see if the phone is able to access data...pls note that Etisalat specifically blocks the normal BIS data from working on BB10 devices because they have BB10 data plan which is priced at the android data rate
so my guess is that your 900MB will definitely work on the Q10 |
