If you are not on the latest OS, update your device to the latest OS available for your phone and if the problem is a software problem, that should fix it If you are already on the latest OS version however, it is a hardware problem |
Folks, Let me remind you again that virtually all full featured data plans offered by all telecom companies work on the BlackBerry 10 devices irrespective of the name of the plan...the exceptions are the social plans (i.e. social media plans(facebook, twitter etc) or IM plan that allows you to use BBM, whatsapp etc but not other internet services) these limitations make them problematic on BB10 devce.... previously, the native BIS data plans were the most generous data plans available for BB10 devices. glo and airtel were the two telcos that allowed their native BIS work on the BlackBerry 10 devices while MTN and Etisalat took specific and deliberate steps to prevent us from using the native BIS plan in an effort to force us to use the more expensive BB10 dedicated plans With the data war going on between the telcos, looks like we wont need native BIS data plan anymore and subscribing to these humongous data plans will give us more bang for the buck. Airtel and glo currently offer some interesting plans that have been mentioned severally in previous posts so please check out these data plans to reward them for years of being loyal to BlackBerry 10 users |
BB Playbook 64GB for Sale - N50k |
jeccy:i think Whatsapp announced a while ago that theyre dropping support for BB |
kaymolla:Of course they will work on BlackBerry 10 devices |
dandollar1:Go to the playstore app and make sure the apps are showing as uninstalled |
toluxa1:how do i unlock my spectranet unit? pls share or give me a contact i can reach you on |
Yes, BB10 devices still support video calls on BBM and on other IMs with video call acpabilities...is your friend on the latest OS? |
tolaxin:it could be a hardware problem with the rear camera if you are running the latest OS. if you're not running the latest OS, i will suggest you upgrade and see if that solves the problem |
Eyituoyo7:You have to provide more info for people to understand what type of challenges you're facing...which apps are not working? Screen shot of some errors etc |
Buddyy:you dont change BBID on devices, you wipe the device and release it from your ID so that another person can use it there are no limits to the number of BB10 devices that can be connected to your BBID but you can only use BBM on only one of them |
lobito007:It's unlimited because it is not limited to blackberry devices only. You can use the plan on Android |
motray:if the device is asking you to use wifi, go to the appworld, swipe down from the top, and click setting, toggle off 'use wifi only' |
tolaxin:i will advise you dont download just any apk from anywhere on the net...Amazon appstore is a trustworthy place to get almost all the android apps you need |
erooOluwa:BB10 devices do not require antivirus |
erooOluwa:just open your gmail account from a PC and check under your contacts tab...all your contacts will there |
bimbo80:Restart the device |
0luwasean:its true |
mekstaniac:The airtel BIS data is charged at twice the rate on androids and BlackBerry 10 devices as it is charged on legacy BlackBerrys. It gets worse if you dare visit YouTube The Genesis is that airtel has now found a way to distinguish between devices better so they don't mind you using the BIS on none legacy BlackBerry devices but you'll pay the same rate as you would have paid if you bought a vanilla android data plan You can try glo BIS...it is also 1.4k for 3gb and it doesn't drain as fast as airtel BIS |
Recent News BBM message retract and Private chat are now free!!!!! You don't N to pay for a monthly subscription to the them ![]() |
Are you using the right network mode in your phone...you need to set the phone to 3G network mode to get signals bette than EDGE Are you on the latest OS? |
Buddyy:It is done by default...you dont need to do anything. |
backing up your contact to a memory card is a waste of time. if you have any email setup on your BB e.g yahoo, gmail, hotmail etc, then all your contacts are saved to that email's contact book |
Clarinett:None that I know of. If you're stuck on etisalat, you just have to go with their expensive data |
9ice, femi and mayak, I totally dislike people who run around with half and outdated information and feeling good about the nonsense they are talking especially on public forums where genuinely curious people come to for answers to their worries. all three of you need to get your shit together Like I said, the Internet is available and anyone who wants to know can always find the truth Find attached for your education PS: I will not come back to this thread because it looks to me like it's only you guys here and I don't like wasting my time with people like you
|
femi4:Maybe you should quote the part of your car manual where you read the content of your post You do read your car manual or don't you? |
@9icet I'm not going to waste my time with you anymore cos I really don't give a damn whether you know or you don't |
Akell:i am able to load nairaland on my devices (BlackBerry and non Blackberry) so i'm not sure what's causing the issues on your device |
Like i said previously, work on your own ignorance you claimed in your penultimate post that loading electrical items on a car's battery will affect the load on the engine which runs the alternator responsible for charging the battery and i have disproved your illogical claims with simple explanations and now you jump to comparing the alternators installed in different vehicle types to muddle up the discussions which shows you don't know what you're talking about i don't spit trash like you and i am not hiding behind the safety of a computer screen. if you think you have something you want to do because i called you out for your previous insultive posts, pls feel free to make an attempt. i can give you a time and a place to come to. my posts on this thread and your posts are all available for the world to evaluate and judge to decide who is hiding behind the anonymity of the internet to misbehave if you have a scanner, connect it to your vehicle and show the result here to back up your claims |
9icetoo:you should worry about your own ignorance. yes the car battery is charged by the alternator and whether the battery is actively charging or is in a state of full charge, the alternator loads the engine so long as the engine is running. for modern cars with lots of convenience accessories that run off the battery, the alternator will have to keep topping up the battery as those accessories draw power from the battery but that does not mean the rate of charge increases as you switch on items that draw their power source only from the battery (lights, radio etc) so the engine load read out on a diagnostic tool will not go up when you switch on lights or play radio as you have claimed you are not anymore intelligent that others on this thread and you can contribute to the collective learning experience without being a jerkas5 with your posts |
