Politics / Re: Biafra Will Be Totally Different From Nigeria. Here's How! by wale6run: 6:24pm On Sep 26, 2015
kenny987:

You're really going to run a temperature at this rate. These countries u refer to how did they come into existence? Did some colonial masters decide whom to lump together under one name? The Biafrans have a totally different ideology and belief/value system totally different from others that make up Nigeria. It always clashes and that is why for instance, someone will say Igbos are proud, like to show off and do not respect their hosts. To the Igbo/Biafran, his tradition make him a master unto himself with full recognition if his right to contribute to decision making before it becomes law from the elders. The reverse is the case in Yoruba or Hausa/Islam where the word of the Oba or Emir or Imam is law.

Our elders are highly respected and honoured but cannot dictate to a member of d community. We ask questions n demand answers and then agree before we comply hence our republican nature. That isn't the case with most others we've been forced to be with.

This is not withstanding d lack of fairness and just one instance is d creation of states. The less number of states automatically reduces representation at d centre. Biafrans don't take easily to a master servant relationship as is currently run in Nigeria. We strongly advocate n demand equality and healthy competition hence the call for decentralisation and resource control. This of course has not even been countenanced by the govt. We also like to make our accomplishments known but to others it is called bragging and showing off. That is why in the one Nigeria we profess, u see people saying go back to ur place, they want to take over and all that....
Meanwhile d FG decides d bulk of development projects and has decided to site major seaports only in Lagos. What do u then expect a naturally entrepreneurial people to do but flock the same area in droves?

Yet we hear that we are ungrateful to our 'hosts'...in one Nigeria? Tell me who are d victims of religious crises in the North? Do u have same in d Biafra region?

I will not go further....it is not your cause. Stop bothering yourself. He who fails to plan, plans to fail. You will not hear any Igbo leader say anything now until the time is right and u do not decide that time. It will not also be presented before the Nigerian Parliament because our laws as currently drafted do not have provisions for the subject matter. I know u will have justifications for all I have enumerated here and all I haven't mentioned but that is ur prerogative. Biafrans desire Biafra and will have Biafra!

You have reduced the discussion to alternating between whimpering and bigotry, which I will not dignify with further response hereafter.

Do you know how many nationalities or tribes are there in India, Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Angola, South Africa, Kenya, USA, Canada etc? These were under colonial masters besides those previously listed. Either your history is faulty or you don't know your onions!

No body forced you into Nigeria. Indeed, one of your eminent sons, Zik, fought for Nigerian independence. You were happy for Ibos to be at the helm of affairs in Nigeria but as soon as power slipped from your hands, you started churning out outlandish excuses for Ibo-own country!

Power slipped from your hands because of that same tribal bigotry that conspired with Biafra to eliminate all National and regional leaders except of Ibos' extraction. This is the genesis of your mistrust in Nigeria. As for your threat of achieving Biafra come rain come sun shine, only an unhinged general will brag of running away from the war front as a feat.

No matter what unbaked response you care to write, I will not grace it any further but will leave you with this haunting images of what tribal bigotry, egocentricity and mad bragging entailed. Take a look:

Call him whatever name u like...once the will of a people are enagged ur sentiments cannot change them. I will not enter into a debate with u on this matter cos like I said, u are not wired to grasp or comprehend it. Until u tell me that a people no longer have the right to self-determination u have no point. The people desire Biafra and it shall be!

The Nigerian project as u call it is a fraud and not organic. In as much as the stakeholders did not give their consent to be bound in this union then they have a right to revert to status quo that is, being on their own!

Which people desire biafra? You or your motley collection of internet e-warriors? No ibo leadership has requested a separation from Nigeria and no such request is before currently before the Nigerian Parliament. You are merely making confused noise rather than any concrete points noteworthy! I have no interest in debating with one that does not know her onions!

You are driven by tribal bigotry and egocentricity. Look around you, most countries in the world were under colonial masters at one stage:- Ghana, USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan etc. Further, almost all countries are multi-ethnic in nature: China, Russia, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, UK, France, Italy, Germany etc.

It is only in Nigeria that we have this ridiculous demand by a tribe to create a country for one tribe in the midst of Nigeria. If you know yourself, you will know that you are wrongly wired and a fraud against majority of ibos who would prefer to remain patriotic Nigerians rather than Nigeria being a fraud!

Why are u so bothered about what becomes of Biafrans? It can't be that u are genuinely concerned or u feel there's any positive contribution from Biafra so what's d issue? Have u cared to actually listen to why Biafrans demand a total separation from Nigeria? Like I said, it's not your cause or fight. Let it be...

You don't seem to get it. Threads on Biafra have become a source of sore irritations for patriotic Nigerians who visit NL to interact and discuss on how to move the Nigerian project forward only to be confronted by an irritant nullity. Yes, a nullity is what biafra is.

If you have a chance, we can enter into an intelligent discussion but you don't. To your eternal ridicule, you have a fraudster and a womaniser, kanu, with grubby mouth lapping up donations of innocent ibos for his own little paradise in London. Like I said, biafra is as dead as a door nail. Forget it for your own good BP!

Young man...no one sought your opinion on this issue. It is a worthy cause which unfortunately u aren't wired to comprehend or believe in. Just let it be... All Nigerians must hear of it and know of it. It will happen when it will.

Come off it, high n mighty! Without boasting, I think I am more than wired than you or any of your current underlings.
As for biafra, nothing will happen! It's a dance with death, which no reincarnated soul of vanquished biafra can come out of alive.

It will do well for the Conference for the Actualization of Human Rights not to dabble into criminal matters under investigation by authorities and start pleading not guilty for suspects before due process is carried out.

If a pregnant woman and a cripple make a living conniving with criminals, they can not be spared the full wrath of the law.

Politics / Re: How Former President, Goodluck Jonathan Publicly Declared His Assets. by wale6run: 11:56pm On Sep 06, 2015
tobeetoe:
This got me. So....

Suddenly, all the ignorant, amnesiac, tribalistic and godless supporters of a monumentally corrupt, tribalistic, despotic, and educationally deficient President Muhammadu Buhari, who had crawled into their hiding places in shame as a result of the numerous gaffes, denials of campaign promises, as well as incompetent and tribalistic appointments by their principal in the past one month, are now shamelessly crawling out of their holes to hail and defend Buhari’s continuing campaign of hypocrisy, deceit and debauchery in the name of assets declaration.
uAs I have said over and over again on my Facebook page, the only persons whose IQ is lower than that of President Buhari are his supporters. All the spporters of Buhari are so brazenly lazy, sloppy, unintelligent, dishonest, and incapable of logical reasoning that we must credit Muhammadu Buhari for his ability to swiftly convert so many of his fellow citizens to unthinking morons in such a short time.
Consider this. Whenever there is an attempt by decent Nigerians to hold President Buhari to account concerning his plethora of botched campaign promises, dithering and denials, all that a typically tribalistic All Progressives Congress (APC) sympathiser does is to swiftly attempt to change the subject by converting the discourse to one about former President Jonathan.
In the matter of Buhari’s ‘declaration of assets’, the issues are simple and straightforward, contrary to the obfuscation of the APC online bandits.
First, the Constitution does NOT mandate any public officer to PUBLICLY declare his assets. The Constitution enjoins him to do so at the Code of Conduct Bureau(CCB). Public declaration of assets is a personal choice.
Dr. Goodluck Jonathan did not at any time promise to PUBLICLY declare his assets. Only Umar Musa Yar’ Adua and, hypocritically, as it has now turned out, Muhammadu Buhari promised to do so publicly too.
Whereas Yar’ Adua did so genuinely, honestly and satisfactorily, Buhari has persisted in his well known hypocritical posturing of lies, corruption and denials, utterly humiliating his tribalistic supporters who are predominantly the Tinubu loyalists in the South West and those with a religious fundamentalist outlook in the North.
The assets which were made public by the senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Public Affairs, Ima Niboro, indicated that the value of the Vice President’s total assets and cash in banks stood at N295,304,420.
.

Bia this OP goat, are you declaring Jonathan's assets or you are insulting people left, right and centre?

Nigerians are interested in Jonathan's current net assets as at 2015. Given that his government bankrupted Nigeria and was unable to pay salaries, Nigerians want to know by how much his assets had ballooned since 2007. Instead you are peddling old and stale accounts from 2007 and insulting Nigerians in the process as if you are doing anyone service. You are muddling the waters by trying to shift focus from what he was worth in May 2015 to 2007.

Even his assets of N300 million in 2007 was suspicious given that he was a public servant dependent on salary. How much was his salary?
How did he acquire almost N300 million in assets? Granted investment assets were N62 million but even this was suspicious!
He got away because he was not investigated whether he helped himself to state coffers as governor or took bribes in amassing that assets.

Your bigotry is unmitigated and your mouth packed full of insults is grotesque, to say the least! You don't fool anybody.

Nigeria can always get arms and even pay mechinaries to fight along side their soldiers.

Nigeria, at the moment, will never let Igbos go in peace. And anything short of a peaceful succession, would hurt Igbos, terribly.

Let us work with what we have, and build an enviable Igbo nation.

Why do you hate the idea of a person you called a bigot who wanted to separate from you? That is weird. Can you hate and love something at the same time?

If there was a referendum tomorrow and majority of Biafran people chose to remain in Nigeria, that will be the end of Biafra till further notice.

This is what happened in the UK.

Did you know that Scotland is a country in its own right? They are in a union with England, Wales and Northern Ireland called UK. This is different from Igbo's case, which is about a tribe of Nigeria which is entirely surrounded by Nigeria seeking a violent break-up of the indivisible country.
