My tv's back light is busted. Please does anyone have any spare 40inches TV in good condition that he is not using? Please bless me with it. A word of advise though, please minimise the brightness of your TV if you want it's life to be elongated. I'd painfully be looking from the sidelines now when better fta topics dey fly around. |

omaolowo: On impulse I scanned the now scrambled TStv. What a surprise when this new channel pops out.
It is called Flourish Tv (Home of African Culture and Tourism)
It is on 10970 H 30000 It is not scrambled However I had used a HEVC H.265 compliant decoder I saw it too. Thanks for sharing. |

Digitman: I just dey look you since yesterday dey smile, because of your impatience..

My guy the station has been back since Bro you for no look me na. You for advise me straight up as you know say I be fta newbie. I have to track again. Its all good bro. But incase this happens again which other satellite dey comparable to the 51.5e? |

Olutozn54: So annoying after tracking it.it went off least than two hours afterwards. I have been forced to go back to the annoying Ghanaian channels on 28.2 e because my receiver doesn't multistream. Abeg Digitizeman, which other satellite man fit track wey make sense? I am open tto your expertise abeg |

god2baski: The other frequency on 51.e is it also scrambled alongside tstv. the 11090? It appears that the former 3w channels on 51.5e aren't showing anymore. This is really annoying |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by waleayeni1: 8:56pm On Oct 17, 2020 |
Digitman: Sorry for the late reply, I wanted to get home first before responding. I just confirmed that you are right about the channels being scrambled.
So let's wait and see if it is permanent or just a temporal thing. As for me, I won't miss them because I am always glued to those former 3w stations, whenever I turn my decoder on. Fair enough. Please if it ever gets back up please let me know |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by waleayeni1: 7:12pm On Oct 17, 2020 |
Digitman: Bro you are not getting my point oh.. You are already on Tstv position na.. You don't need to move your dish at all. Just blind scan the same satellite you are using to get those former 3w station and it will come up. Once your decoder is H.265 enabled Cool. I reset to factory settings and rescanned but all the channels are scrambled even though my decoder is H.265 compliant. What am I missing please? I am using a gtmedia v9

Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by waleayeni1: 6:34pm On Oct 17, 2020 |
Digitman: If you've already tracked 51.5e, then, all you have to do is either blind scan or input these Tstv frequency manually
10972 H 30000 11130 H 30000 You do well bro. Abeg which channels dey for the tstv ish. I dey enjoy this former 3w channels well well on 51.5e. I dey fear say if I move my dish I might find it difficult to get the those channels back. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by waleayeni1: 2:21pm On Oct 17, 2020 |
Digitman: If I get this question correctly.. You mean turning the dish facing 3w to 51.5e? If yes, then turn your dish to the east, opposite direction and slide it down using the frequency. It will pop up.
May I add that you should be sure that your dish have the needed space to slide down when turn to the east, or else you have to remount your dish hanger.
But you can correct me if the above explanation does not apply to what you intend to archive. So I can correct what needs to be done. Thanks for the response. I am already on 51.5e. I just want to be able to get tstv signals too. I only used the channels that were formerly on 3w but now on 51.5e as reference. |

@lamtam0
@Digitman etc Satlink ws-6933 is the satfinder that I use. It is pretty basic and works just fine. I got mine on aliexpress for $42.43 including shipping from aliexpress |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by waleayeni1: 12:32pm On Oct 17, 2020 |
Digitman: They are several ways to deal with that situation, but let's apply the methods one by one and see which works for you.
First method.. Delete the satellite name you created, under satellite list. Then recreate it and scan.
Second method is to do a factory reset but instead of scanning ourTV as your fist satellite. You skip it and create a new satellite, then scan. Go back and make sure the channels are there before scanning the ourTV satellite.
Third is to check very well on your channel list, it should be there, what normal miss is movie Africana and not all the channels you listed. Let me stop there for now Bro. Can I add tstv channels on 51.5e with same lnb I am using with the the *former* 3w channels? If yes, then tell me how my guy |

adubam: Csat 8 Pro+ has watering features but too fragile.
I would advice anyone here to buy a durable decoder even if it is Tiger or GT media that would cost you up to 28K or more. Please gather your money and buy it. GT media and Tiger Autoroll Biss Keys and Powervu, have inbuilt WIFI, Multi stream with durable components or any Strong Decoders with HEVC, DVB2 H.265.
Csat 8 Pro+ Multistream, Autoroll only Powervu and not Biss. The difference is like buying a Samsung Original Phone and Buying a Chinko phone that claims to have what the Samsung phone has and does.
I had advice here that people with low budget should go for Csat 8 Pro +, but due to high rate of complaints from those who have used it first hand including me; I hereby revert my previous advice.
Thank you. Bro I dey use gtmedia v9 super sattelite receiver and I cannot open the multistream channels on 28.2 e. Abeg na which gtmedia you know that multistreams? Whether I go replace the one wey I dey use. Mine is H.265 compliant but doesn't do anything special. Please tell me how to take full advantage of that functionality |

ojesymsym: I see what you mean. It has autoroll and BISS, not sure Mecool has that. You may be right then, it looks like you can even install android on Helio 8
Well, you can check up mecool on aliexpress to see if it has those things you are talking about, I suspect it does I greet you all. Please educate me. BISS and autoroll only applies to accessing paid content for free right? Does it have other properties? Also I would like to know what the multistream functionality in satellite receivers does |

Digitman2: That signal is not cool for a single lnb setup. At least you're suppose to be getting close to 70% . Are you sure something is not blocking the front of your dish? It has a good line of sight with no observable obstacles to the satellite |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by waleayeni1: 6:40pm On Oct 12, 2020 |
Digitman2: I am curious.. Please elaborate on the word "everything" ? Secondly is the dish a multi lnb installation? If yes, which sat is your primary lnb? Good evening bro. Its a single lnb setup. It freezes occasionally making an annoying sound |

Digitizedman: Remember I stated at the last part that such is only possible in a multistream decoder.
So which decoder are you using to scan for the channels? GTmedia v9 super sattelite receiver |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by waleayeni1: 11:39pm On Oct 10, 2020 |
Digitizedman: That hype you keep hearing about 28e is mostly coming from people that love sports (Like Gtv Sports plus for example) Delete that out of the equation, the hidden channels there are still mostly Ghana based.
Gtv Gbc news Gl-tv Gtv sports plus Gtv life Crystal prime Crystal xtra Crystal plus TV Africa TV3 Metro TV Net2 Etv Kfs Top TV Max TV and some more
However different strokes for different folks. So here is the frequency 12645 V 30000. Remember it only appears in multistream decoders I dint see any of these channels you listed o. Only Ghanaian stations I see |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by waleayeni1: 11:57am On Oct 10, 2020 |
Digitizedman: Are you using one LNB to get 26e and 28e ?
Or are you using two LNB to get the two satellite? If you are. Then try resetting your diseqc switch position of each sat, in the installation setting of your current decoder. Good morning. It appears that there are bearable channels on 28 e which I didnt get when I tracked it, because most of the ones I saw were really bad with poor content. Yet many people here still rate it high. Please tell me what I am missing. Are there good channels on 28e that I missed? |

adubam: Congrats. What were you doing wrong? Thanks bro. Interestingly, my 1m dish had very little space for maneuver where it was mounted. So I removed it and put my 90 cm dish and voila! I got 82 % signal strength but zero signal quality on my satfinder. As I Don tire for not hitting green, I went inside my house to blind scan with faith and I got the coveted MBC channels. The investment in fta is paying off thanks to your guidance. This weekend I go try 3w with my 1m dish. Una do well o |

adubam: Sorry bro. From my experience in tracking sometimes it is the FEC that could be the problem. We are too quick to use AUTO as FEC. They have FEC of 2/3, 4/5 etc. Secondly it is the polarization. If you are given a polarization of H, and you've tried without success, nothing stops you from using V. This has worked most times for me. And finally, your LNBF position. Thanks for the help man. I appreciate it |

goaldynboy: Good evening gurus in the house. Please I need your urgent advice and direction.
First day I attempt to add MBC @7west in my dish that already have 3W as primary and 5e & 7e as secondary, using 11559v27500, but I did not succeed.
Second day I tried again to get the MBC @7west and didn't get it again. But I got Hi-Impact and other Tunisian & Arabic channels totalling 13 channels with these transponders 11030v05000 & 11658v27500. Also, I used brand new strong lnb. See the attached picture.
My question is: What else can I do to get this elusive MBC @7°West?
Thanks in advance for your response.
