I sat down to do the calculation. 520AH at 48V is like draining 12 200AH 12V lead acid batteries to zero. However, given a 50% DoD, already above what is recommended for Lead Acid batteries, I would have needed a bank of 24 200AH 12v batteries.

And even then my system would have shut down because my pumping machine drawing about 2KW and my water heater drawing about 1.5KW still came on at 4:00AM and 5:00AM respectively. Pump for 25 minutes and heater for 90 minutes. Voltage would have gone down low enough to trip the inverter.

If you are not using lithium batteries, you can not appreciate its resilience.

How much did you get the lithium battery

Since you are on tight budget, why not going for 12v 160ah lifepo4 battery about 2kwh battery bank.
This will be cheaper for you than going for 2 pcs of 12v 230ah lead acid battery.
Work on loads management by powering your fridge/other important loads during the day. By 9 or 10pm bedtime, your tv may be put off.
The remaining minor loads like fans and lightnings will take over till 7am.
You should try and buy rechargeable standing fan or qasa ceiling fan with 5 steps speed/remote control.

I was gifted a 24v 1.5kva Gloras inverter and I intend to use it for my setup. Like how much is the lithium battery you mentioned? Aren't those batteries crazily expensive? Won't i require 2 units to complement the 24v inverter?

My question is; for person like us wey no too hold bar, what's the best and most durable non lithium battery we could buy that would serve us well? I am looking at 2 batteries of 12v 230ah capacity. Also what's the best budget charge controller to use with the batteries. I like DIY systems and I really want to do it myself. My load is not much, a less than 100W fridge, 75W tv, other nominal loads like phones and laptop. I need una experience make I no go use head jam wall

If you are having challenge with the satellite direction, track nigcomsat direction. It has all the mbc channels now. Track with 12518h29500 and blindscan to have them all

There are two things you can do about this, make sure 12284 is at highest quality, try skewing your lnb to 2 o'clock... The mbcs will come ...... You can as well point to 7w for all the MBC package

what are you aiming at? State the satellite directions you are aiming and you shall have it. Or engage a good installer in your area or engage me if you are in Lagos

I am aiming at badr 5. I want the mbc channels. I already stated the category of channels that I am getting. I have all the requirements for getting any satelite, all I need is more guidance. Thanks in anticipation

Advice: Read nothing less than half of this thread if you are serious about this business.
