So unfortunate that the glass house in Abuja wont do anything until this guy's condition deteriorates beyond redemption. Many of our nationals have been victims of the inability of the NFF to provide holistic solution in terms of insurance to these guys who have dorn the National colours during their playing days.
Could remember vividly 15 years ago when we struggled to defeat Burkina Faso in the semis and lost to France in the final. It was painful though. Opabunmi was a star in that tournament. Well meaning Nigerians could pull this guy out of the woods. He can still be useful to the society instead of begging. |

lofty900: I don't know him, but what did he do with all the money he made during his playing days? Police recruitment is still on jor, go and apply and pray That's sarcastic! You don't need to know him before you pass an objective comment. For your info, he never made it big whilst he was a professional. He had a serious eye problem that ended his career abruptly at an early stage. Show some empathy. |

emekaxy: where is this emparty when a taxi driver dodging escort vehicle and hit pure water seller down and he died instantly at Rumuokoro, police never stopped knowing they caused it.
where was emparty when escort vehicle attached to some unscrupulous lebanese in Onne beat up a private car owner n dis figured his leg simply because he overtook them.
Was their ever an emparty when they were driving one way along Eliozu and knockdown a aged woman crossing the road and looking towards her left without knowing the police were driving one way.
If ever emparty ever exist in police diary, when they drove reckless escorting silly oyibo people along stadium road and knock off my friends busbar they would have stopped to say sorry.
Too much escort in PH, 5 police to one man and leaving 7 in the station for the entire community or village.
I repeat he deserve it. Thank you The fact that some officers are ruthless and lack empathy, doesn't necessarily means they are all guilty. Two wrongs don't make a right. The sanctity of human lives shouldn't be politicized or overridden by emotions. Police is your friend |

as long as is police escorts in PH do not cry for him........ Where is the empathy? Because of what you listed up there justifies the way he was maimed? Common! He is a family man whose demise has made someone a widow and another fatherless. Where is the empathy I ask again. Peace |

The last time I checked,Wike hasn't stopped being the Chief Securiy Officer of Rivers States. He waved off the pre-elections killings, terming it 'cult war'. Wike needs to wake up to take charge and responsibility for the security of lives in his state. This is barbaric! The empathy for human lives in this country has nose-dived beyond comprehension. We can't afford to continue like this. |

The emotional gap could be very expressive on you. However, meeting a new lady requires getting to know her for a handful of time before hooking up on the altar. So do a comparison. She loves you. True love waits. Don't be in a hurry to settle down with the wrong lady. Desperados are everywhere. |

Common this girl is young. Let her pursue the dream of her heart. Getting trapped at that age in marriage limits her capacity to explore. Marriage is a massive commitment. She isnt ready obviously. You are 28, can't you wait till 30? That's the conventional age for men Besides she would have garnered more life experience after her MSc Make that sacrifice or let her go! |
Politics › Re: El-rufai To Suleiman: Mention The Day I Will Die by Walelavender(m): 6:49pm On Apr 03, 2016 |
bezimo: Given your stated facts, which is subjective because the moslems also disturb the peace of the neighbourhood with their daily early morning call to prayers through their mosque speakers. Yet the bill doesn't put a restriction on that yet, its restricting the practice of religion till 8pm, when christians most likely have evening services or start their vigil which is not every day.Christianity has impacted the lifes of its adherents positively with many instances community outreaches embarked by some churches, the changed lifes from bad to good by its faithful is there. In Islam, terrorism and hate messages are taught "Kill the infidels at all cost" bombing, shooting, abduction of school girls, terrorising the populace or forcing them to convert or die.
If religion must be regulated. Its Islam that should be regulated because some of it adherents use it as a tool to cause mayhem and destruction. The evidence is there for every rational indiindividual to see.
Secondly, the bill also makes it a crime to play christian music or preaching in the comfort and privacy of my car, which in many cases isnt really disturbing anyone.
You have no point, you are just one of the misguided fellows out there, who cant discern the times and appreciate the sensitivity of the matter and encourage the need for caution and appropriate and relevant stakeholder engagement before pursuing and engaging in such needless religious controversy because the elrufai is a Islamic political rascal who thinks he is a small lord.
He has been warned, to leave christianity alone or face the consequences.
He is a Muslim and not qualified to regulate christianity practice. He is not God.He can do that of Islam. For you to say I am misguided is laughable. That was simply my opinion and there is no way you gonna influence that. You just have to get that clearly. I welcome any bill that regulates religious rascality, irrespective of the religion. This bill isn't going to pass through without the support of the followers of the two ardent religions. |
Politics › Re: El-rufai To Suleiman: Mention The Day I Will Die by Walelavender(m): 5:31pm On Apr 03, 2016 |
bezimo: If the bill was designed to address the wrong indoctrination in islam which spur islamic revolt, why include Christianity? That doesn't mean there aren't some faults in the way some clerics practice Christianity. From the blast of public address system during worship to the 'heartfelt' prayers generating noise during vigils. We have to tell ourselves the truth. The practice of the two major Religions in Nigeria hasn't brought us the needed change, morally, in our society. The hues and cry isn't worth it. The Christians were identified in Antioch simply because of their Christ-like attitude, they couldn't help it but to call them 'Little Christ'. We are frustrating the grace of God upon our lives in this nation. The earlier we know, the better. |

If the piece was read with a rational mind, it's obvious the bill was put together to address the wrong indoctrination in Islam that often gives birth to terrorism. El-Rufai is undoubtedly a Muslim, so what is the fuss about the criticism? We hardly read in this country. Why not take time to scrutinise the bill before crucifying the man? He is even ready to make changes to suite stakeholders. Wisdom is the principal thing....all wailers and zombies of this bill should get it! |

opalu: It is a clear sign that the two concrete works are not properly bonded. The slab is settling at a rapid rate than that of the kerbs / 'retaining wall'. If you observe the detachment (it's not really a cracking in the truest sense). If you observe it for sometime and notice it's not detaching further then you could just pour a binder in between like a cement slurry. Thanks. That was on point. |

Fayose and his comical stunt . A week wouldn't run out without dropping a debatable /controversial piece. That is his own way of playing 'roforofo' politics to stay afloat till 2018.
I have traversed (almost) the lenght and breadth of Ekiti. A lot still needs to be done. The last time I checked, heating up the polity unnecessarily, isn't one of the criteria for moving forward. Policy statements and intellectual congregation to solving Ekiti's problem should be hitting the headlines not what the masses won't benefit from.
Leadership and fellowship is still a joke in this country. From the FG led government to the States.
I am pretty sure of this generation can get it right!
You are the CHANGE Nigeria needs. Not any political party |
