Historically,AFBP award is erratic one, that doesn't have a basis or dogma to follow, and recently,it has become 'mediocre and clumsy' award to order football award in the world. Realistically, some recent past winners have scooped the award based either on club performances or basking in the success of their country achievement:some gotten the award based on their individual performances, while others won it based on their team which is either country or club achievement in that particular year. Furthermore, Frederick Kanoute, got the award based on club performances which he was even mediocre and blacksheep of his club(Sevilla)then, Emmanuel Adebayor, scooped the award whilst in Arsenal because he was one of the top scorer in EPL then, and he made his country(Togo)qualified for the Afcon and world cup to Germany 2006, et al,. Realistically, Yaya toure,is currently performing well than (Obi), in his club but, the award is not meant for current performance only, but entails past acheivement for both club and country which vividly shown that Mikel has the edge this time than Yaya if their acheivement so far for thier nations and clubs has any to go by. S,Eto, got the award four times consecutively mostly at the expense of Okocha because he was countinued to perform well for both his country and club, and countinued to score then which means he only got the award based on scoring than others then and being in a big club than others made him the best over others then. In my own candid opinion,if the 2012/2013 season has anything to go by, then Mikel, deserves to be a winner of the award this time, because he(Mikel) has performed and achieved a 'remarkable and stellar' performances for both club and country than any other African players irrespective of their countries or clubs. Finally, I wholeheartedly cast my vote for Mikel Obi. Mikel is the AFBP for 2012/2013 winner in advance!

Honestly, the disgrace of our president is our shame,to mock or snub our president is total embarassment being suffered by all and sundry citizens of Nigeria. Realistically, as a indegine of a nation what affect your leader, affect you all because they're our symbol and representative globally that're being selected and supporting by citizenry of the nation to protect our integrity, and propel good citizens of our nation, regardless of any region, ethnic,or tribe being governing us,we should all bear it in mind that what affect Gej at global level, even in our country, affects us,in as much as still be a country indigene! Time for rethink of our corruption leaders!

@busy mouth- all you said were understood but, don't you think that as you've rightly said,if it's god that truely merged, bestowed, and descended this nation together, and this bringing sufferness, strugleness, perplexity, and pandemonium to the nation, then I think and feel that it's permissible to ask that the same god to balkanize i.e seperate such nation before it getting decimated and shattered by cruelty leaders like ours in our dearly country(Nigeria)!

If to ask nigeria masses of their desire towards this tyranny leaders and the way they've been governing us since her inception, there wouldn't be any hesitancy to say 'Yes', let's divide. Arguably,it's been consensus that the only last solution to our long political cheating and unable to benefit political dividend since it existence is by 'divide',even unborn child knows that our best solution is division,to divide and nothing else!

The dead persons' are criticising, ordinary person is also criticising mostly, stakeholders are criticise badly even when they're doing normally talkless of a whole public figure like a whole nation president like Nigeria. Is he(Gej) with his administration is the first political leader and would be the last to criticise? Because it always baffles and stunning me the way Igbo people feels and react to any issue pertaining to national politics saga, all the ethnic groups are well groomed and developed to understand and know how to address the national issues, they(Igbos) should understand that 2015 is around the doorstep, and had it been that mr Gej has not have the 2nd term ambition, then the case would've different, they must realize that their only supports and votes cannot take him there or become triumphant in2015 election!

@Donmmas,please bruh don't mind them yet,2015 is around the corner, then we'll know where their mouthing and self-boasting will take them to,may be they can only take him there,or their voting alone will take him there, they(Igbos)should not forget that voting is not base or involve religion!!!
Donmams: It beats my imagination why some fools will claim that the North and South West are against mr. President and his ministers whenever they criticize the gov't. Well let them hear that the north and the southwest have over 75% voting strength. It will be the end of the igbo loving president in 2015. The South East will regret their stupidity for siding with jonathan for the next 200 years.

I think he is the coach and has the final say and wish to invite any players he wishes in as much as he delivers to the nation. Arguably, nobody cares about the players use to execute match but expect victory,so i don't know the meaning of all this fussing and grumbling over not invite any player to camp, busybody should mind their business and leave keshi with this 'new golden generation player' to perform their magic as usual! DankemzI: I DONT BELIEVE IN NIGERIA by Esan Teniola
I don't believe in Nigeria. I don't believe in its leaders, I don't believe in anything they have to say. I don't believe that someone somewhere has the solutions to this country. I don't believe in superman. I believe in myself. I believe in my 2 hands, not begging for someone somewhere to make things right, but with these 2 hands I will build the country want to live in. I believe in my friends. I believe in my family. I believe in everyone who not only tries to make the world a better place for themselves, but also for everyone around them. I don't believe in independence. I believe in inter-dependence, for no man is an island. I believe in the potential of everyone I see on the streets. I believe in the children in that public school that had no toilets, who asked me "uncle, why dont our leaders care about the masses? Why do we always hear about corruption everyday?" I don't believe in leaders who send their children abroad to school while the nations universities are on strike. I dont believe in leaders who fly abroad for medical treatment when the nations hospitals are in need of better facilities. I do not believe in a cook who does not taste his own food. I will believe in the Minister of Education when I see his children attending public schools. I will believe in the Minister of Health when he undergoes heart surgery in General Hospital. Ivwill believe in the Minister for Tourism when he goes to Yobe for vacation and not London or Dubai. Till then, I dont believe in Nigeria. I mean the Nigeria of today, I believe in the Nigeria of tomorrow. The Nigeria that we will build. When all these black skinned colonial masters are gone. ~ Esan Teniola

Little or big challenges can only be conquered by almighty god, people do not always just take truth until they are deceived, I think it's now clear to all and sundry that BH are not muslims, and neither practices Islam religion under any guises so,they should stop being regarded to as 'Islam sects',only god knows their intention for tomorrow's sallah festival, but pray,no matter their missions, not come actualized, however, pray furtherly to be caught sooner thn expected and bring to judgement. furthermore, praise the frantic effort and unrelentless of our soldiers, and urge them to strive more, because'the first task is amount to nothing, until it's fully accomplished',and 'uneasy lies the head that wears the crown'. Finally, pray for peaceful and fruitful sallah ahead, may we experience this forthcoming sallah and many more on earth Insha allah!

From the statistics analysis of the writer and the peoples perspective in comparison of both govt regime, vividly, shows the weeker and the stronger between them(OBJ vs GEJ),without condemning, outcasting,or desparaging any govt, and tribalism should put aside,we know that Gej govt is,ironically, the'gentility of the tiger,is as not as a result of being cowardice' and Obj regime is'actions means everything, but intention means nothing',though everyone of them has their own lapses, but one is unspeakable and outrageous...!
