BusinessRe: How To Ship Goods From 1688 To Nigeria, sell Online Without Physically Seeing It by WalkerMichael(m): 6:33am On Sep 16, 2019
gideon286:
I need everyone to learn from this question

Yes! You can start with 25k ...

I actually started with 25k in late 2015 (my newbie days). I was mentored by someone and he adviced i import the waist slimmer belt for women where each then was ¥17 on 1688. I imported 10 pieces because i wanted to test my feet in the market. Buying/shipping the goods costs me 15k plus. I picked up the goods myself and store them in my room, create my first FB Ads as a newbie (i was guided though) for $2 ( 2 days Ads), then use the telegram method i'm teaching here and made the deliveries to customers myself. I made profit of 25k (excluding expenses and shipping costs), and still had lots of potential buyers hungry to buy. I would have made much profits if only i had discovered the mouth watering profit in women's beauty products. I tested the women's beauty niche in middle 2016, bag lots of profits and it's my favorite niche till date.

There's still alot of money to syphon in women beauty products (esp. cosmetics). Most women fall in love with beauty and they're ready to pressure their hubby or boyfriends for money to look good. Also a woman is an emotional buyer unlike a man; so long as you've assured a woman that the product will solve her problem with proves, she'll be ready to buy the product with her last cash...

So just copy my method and start with the 25k you have..

First, decide to make little sacrifice @ startup; pick up the products, store it by yourself and be ready to deliver to potential buyers.

I'll advice you start with the pink lip Product shown in the screenshots below which is just N217.35 each (for 24 pieces and above) on alibaba, but it's sold N940 on Jumia. So if you can import 24 pieces of this beauty Product at a cost of N11000 (for buy/shipping). I.e mathematically;

Each product costs N217.35

4 of the products won't be up to 1kg (shipping from alibaba isn't that expensive) but it should be around 0.3kg roughly

1kg = $3.0 (buying from alibaba)

So 4 pieces will be 0.4 x 3.0 = $1.2
Then shipping/buying cost for 24 pieces should be N11,000

Then if you're selling each for at least N1500
I.e 1500 x 24 = 36,000 - 11000= N25,000 or more mouth watering profit.

Mind you; you're not hawking the products from one place to another rather you only step out of your room when a potential buyer orders your product using a cognitive marketing strategies with Facebook Ads and Telegram.

For instance if you stay in Lagos, when running FB Ads on the pink lips Product, target only female students between 18 and 28 years in Unilag so that delivering the products will just be around the campus and you won't incure transport fair expenses from one place to another. And remember to assure your customers that the product will be delivered to their door step free and they pay cash on delivery. Before you realize it; you'll make more profits than you imagined.

Up till now, i still have delivery agents that specialize in delivering my goods to different universities. N/B: Campus girls are serious buyers.

But i won't advice you to sink in the whole 25k. Keep 5k then use 20k for buying/shipping the goods, because it's testing the market you're doing and not investing yet. But i believe in what i preach cos i practice them.

One good thing about telegram marketing is that; you don't need to be running Ads Everytime you have hot on demand female products; you only re-occur your buyers by publishing the product on your channel with interesting Product descriptions, since you'll be having growing amount of female members already on your channel.

We'll be on telegram marketing soon.

You should do better if you follow what ive just explained.
OP YOU'RE THE BOMB!!

BusinessRe: Domainers/self-delivery Group. by WalkerMichael(m): 6:35am On Sep 14, 2019
Great initiative! Ecom guys on Facebook have switched to using personal delivery agents for a while and it's working

Thorough verification would be required though ! Some bad eggs usually present them too for this so they could defraud importers. So once again, thorough verification is highly required.

I'm looking for someone who can handle northern deliveries though.

Hi bro. Learn a skill while you are in school. Develop the skill throughout your stay - you should be a pro after 4 years of consistency + hardwork. Don't focus all of your attention to read outdated notes being thrown out yearly by our lecturers.

Refer to udemy to learn high end skills : data science, artificial intelligence, programming, robotics, video animation, there are alot . Just make your research, pick one that piques your interest and FOCUS ON THAT ONE TOLL YOU BECOME A MASTER IN IT.

I wish you all the best

Hello guys, a friend of mine wants to start an accessories business andbhe needs an experts advice on how to source for supplier/product and how profitable is the business. though it will be a mini-business.

thanks for your contribution .
China. He should go shop on 1688 and alibaba. Pay an agent to procure it and send to the logistics company that would ship it to Nigeria.

It's very profitable - if you sell offline or online. Accessories are relatively cheap to buy in China and they have great quality + designs.

An average quality iPhone case cost around 10yuan in China that's around 511naira. When he buys and ship in bulk, each product cost should be around 600-800. He can conveniently sell for 2000-5000! Take your time to shop on China there are very unique and beautiful accessories you can bring down here and resell.

Goodluck.

The reason why prosperity preachers and their messages sell among young people, especially undergraduates and below, are for the following reasons:
1) Everyone wants to hear the good news that their future will be bright and they will make money.
2) They are still being provided for by their parents and they have not seen life to know that it's not by decree and claiming it.

These two reasons are a perfect combo. Notice that the population of these churches have youths as the overwhelming majority. Those that reality slaps hard like SARS operatives run to MFM and other pentecostal firebrand deliverance churches to "free their destinies." grin grin cheesy

I asked him what his job prospects were and he started telling me that jobs are plenty and that he can work in blah blah blah organisation and blah blah blah water cooperation. grin I tried telling him that jobs are scare but he blocked me because he learnt from his prosperity preacher and motivational books that he should avoid "negative energy and vibe". Lwkmd grin. The guy is now a photographer giving motivational speeches on his WhatsApp status. Though we later made up but now I am careful not to be a "negative energy and vibe". grin grin

Christianity EtcRe: Christians, What Are The Reasons Why You Won't Go To Church On Sunday? by WalkerMichael(m): 9:04pm On Sep 08, 2019
emmy512:
Goods question.

It's been seven years since I last went to church on my own terms without forceful invitation or wedding related.

I can tell you this.

1.i believe if the church is meant to teach and correct and the Bible treated as a curriculum I should've been done with the Bible in atleast 10 years.

2.they preach the same thing over and over again.
I believe every human knows right from wrong so they don't need anybody reminding them.

3. I follow the ten commandments and most of all love ur neighbor as yourself, if you do follow the ten commandments u will henof no sin, but to sin is part of human nature so no matter the preach we will still sin.

4. The Bible is just a collection of books collected by men,
Yes we may say books written by apostles or disciples with inspiration from God but in a language different from what we know today.dont you think some meaning could've been lost because of translation from men.
Today we have many versions of Bible where same passage may mean different things contextually.

5.the church is now materialized.
You can't go to church without thinking how you look, if you're presentable or not and if you're not you decide not to go to church, pure hipocrisy because u placed your looks above the God you wish to worship.

6.the church is now a business oriented institution,
If I don't have money for offering and tight I feel guilty, why? Because we have been conditioned by our society Wich was conditioned by religion to give offering.

Churches building schools that their members can't attend with the offering from members.
Where do their profits go.

Men of God outshining the reachest men flaunting their wealth gotten from church coffers.

7.worst is the different churches breaking out from another church for a selfish purpose.

8.its filled with gossipers and unwanted competition from fellow members, show off from members etc.

9.theres is no love in the church.

10.they preach prosperity and leave the issues surrounding us outside making us feel we haven't achieved anything while listening to their sermons.

11. The pastor's don't even know the history of their religion.

12. Worst is when I'm told not to question the things God has done and how he did it.
The choose to blind me by saying have faith and believe.

I don't even want to go to stickers, holy water,
God bless you!
BusinessRe: What's Your Greatest Challenge As An Entrepreneur? by WalkerMichael(m): 8:38pm On Sep 08, 2019
Tokziby:
All I can say is, the greatest challenge for an entrepreneur is carving a unique niche and an enabling environment.

The way people jump into businesses because they hear it's lucrative is very wrong. You should rather focus on the location u want to do it. Do a proper feasibility study. Research thoroughly about the pros and cons. Or better still the old fashioned way(which is the best), look for people that are alrady into the business, pay to understudy them or volunteer to work under them for free for a particular period of 6 months minimum. this will lay a very good foundation for ur start up cos u would have been exposed to most of the constraints in the business.

Every business has charges a tuition fee, ur losses, brainstorming, relentless efforts, rejections, sleepless night etc are the fees u gotta pay.

Also different business have different challenges, a service based business is different from a commodity based. There are conditions that u must be aware of before jumping into it.

Every business requires a master class but sadly u can't learn it in the four walls of a classroom or books. It's a continuous learning that moves with time or trend.
Well said brother. This is all the truth any wannabe-entrepreneur looking to tow that way need to understand... Emphasis on CONTINUOUS LEARNING because the business world is dynamic so you must keep up with trends to be and remain in market
