Edible has a whole lot of Latin American countries like Chile,,mexico, brazil, Argentina dancing awilo that their market share is quadrupled Whatever the case is, the TIT for TAT is given provided Trump follows through with his threat. Never, let a bully get away without standing up to him. |

Starzo: Bro stop all this talk.... Colombia cannot stand against US in anything
They'll become worse than Venezuela if they are not careful
Let's not use our mouths to encourage others into their doom The USA will have to engage diplomatic relations with Colombia to return the deportees. Read the extract below: Colombia is not a major trading partner with the United States, shipping roughly $14 billion worth of goods in 2023, the most recent full year of data according to Comtrade, an authority on trade data. Most of Colombia’s exports to the United States were minerals, oil, metals and coffee. Coffee prices have shot higher over the past year, and this move by the Trump administration could eventually make prices even more expensive for American consumers. That’s because importers pay the tariffs and often pass the increased prices on to consumers. Although tariffs can be an effective negotiating tool, they are generally disliked by economists, who believe they are inflationary and can ignite trade wars, which send prices even higher. That is not a universally held view, though. Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, recently told CNBC that if tariffs help with national security and cause a little bit of inflation than people should “get over it.” Extract is from CNN. That collaboration with the USA government should be before arrival; before deportation. You need to get the correction. |

How will the us suffer when coffe and tea alone competing nations are shouting okpe o If the USA market really need these items, they will have to pay the extra margin (including the 25% increase) if they must have it. For now, the Colombia market can redirect the left over unsellable to USA to other countries. They have to prove a point to the sick and stupid president in USA. For now. |

Almiron: This doesn't apply when you're dealing with hardened criminals, who has been terrorizing your country for a long time. Mexico, Brazil , Guatemala and others received their packages in good faith. Albeit, Brazil government ranted afterwards. The truth is that they don't want their criminals back. It's just common sense. The sanction will change his mind, he will surely receive em now or face sanctions. You (USA) are the one that classified them as hardened criminals. Those countries you intend to deport them to deserve to know who the deportees are, the type of persons they are, if they are wanted criminals back in the country before they even departed to America, if they should be arrested upon arrival and taken into custody for trial, if they require special care upon arrival. Look, for a lot of reasons, the deportee, even if it is one person or devil himself must be identified and profiled by the country you are deportating him/her to. Simple |

It will affect Colombia more than US, Colombia largest trade partner is US. It's just like Benin republic trying to do a TIT for TAT with Nigeria, it will have little or no effect on Nigeria.

Angelfrost: I know... I'm perfectly in support of deportation, but why treat them anyhow?!!
No American being deported would be treated with such disregard no matter his criminal records or deeds.
Diplomacy matters in everything. In fact, if you arrest and intend to deport an American (US), you will inform their embassy and they will offer to pick the person up from your custody and take the person back to the US themself. Us Embassy in Nigeria deserves to know so they can either return the person themself or prepare to receive the person in the USA. That is how it is done. |

udemzyudex: To those commending the Columbia government, I hope you'll help out on this. There is no big deal in what he has done. Every country has a policy of TIT for TAT. If he does 25% then Colombia can do same or more to USA goods coming into Colombia. Colombia can apply that policy too and wait it out till there is a diplomatic cooperation on the deportation between USA and Colombia. Let's see how many countries Trump can do that to simultaneously. Trump is just sick in the head. He should stop being a Bully and do the right thing with deportation. |

jayce232: Please don't make me laugh @bold..lol Which country will cater for transportation? You think if their country was that caring, they will leave in the first place? Do u think any country will deport US citizens & US will reject them? There is no laid down protocol in deporting illegal immigrants! In lawless countries illegal immigrants are locked up in underground prisons or killed & some are even injected with drugs before deportation. There is nothing crude about trump approach so long there is no war going on in those countries.
Mind u I'm not in support of their deportation, because if their country was good, they won't be in the US as illegal immigrants. But I have a problem with u people trying to blame trump on this, it is either u people are being sentimental or talking from a point of hate. No country all over the world pampers illegal immigrants. Countries like North Korea or Russia can even execute illegal immigrants. I don't agree with you and you are free to laugh about it, if you wish. The bill for the cost of using the USA military aircraft to carry them to the various countries is on the USA, in case you don't know. However, if USA corresponded with those countries through their embassies, there will be proper planning of their deportation and care giving upon receiving those deportees. Most of the deportees will be traumatized upon arrival so there must be essential planning, care giving and accommodation prepared for them. You are not involved in immigrantion so you can't understand. |

They aren't strangers but nationals of those countries, if you reject your own people cos of that stupid excuse, then the shame is on you...... That's millions embarrassment to those nations not treating their citizens well for them to have japa into US.....make your country accommodative enough for your citizens. Kudos to Trump......kick them all out.....vagabond illegal aliens....
quote author=Wallade post=133882455]
Oga, it should be done before flying them in at all.
How many countries do you fly into without proper identification? In this special case of deportation, those citizens of those countries should be profiled by their countries for a lot of reasons.
The countries should know who is being deported to determine what level of care and attention to give them upon arrival.
You can't just dump them on the country and make the countries look stupid and unprepared upon arrival Are you even listening to get the point. None of those countries is rejecting their people but they are asking to be given the opportunity to identify and profile their people before deportation. They are human beings and deserve to be caredfor upon entry into their country and the way to plan and execute that is to profile them before dumping them on those countries. Simple. |

givedemwotowoto: You know other countries raid undocumented immigrants and deport them quickly, right?
The point here is, a country should NOT reject their own citizens. Those people will likely be left to languish in US jails with dehumanizing conditions because their countries will not accept them. That is worse That is not rejecting their own, those countries are asking USA to do the deportation properly. Those countries have a right to identify and profile those potential deportees to be sure they belong to their countries and to prepare necessary care and resources for them upon arrival. You don't just dump people on any country without correspondence and verification of identity |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Colombia Will Block US Planes From Landing With Deportees - President Says (Pic) by Wallade(m): 7:53pm On Jan 26, 2025 |
jaxxy: This very wrong. Mexico and Columbia are wrong on this behaviour. Illegal migrants can be deported and should not be rejected for any reason. The USA should allow the countries that they claim to identify, profile them and determine that they are actually their citizens before you dump them on those countries via your military aircrafts. That is the same way to do it especially if USA is not trying to be ridiculous and disrespectful. You should not just pick people up on your street and just because the person claims to be Nigerian or looks Nigerian especially when you don't have their passport or details. Then you just fly them to Nigeria, just like that. That is not right. What if we discover that they are not Nigerians when you dump them in Nigeria already. The ideal thing is to allow those countries profile them and attend to them from the USA and then the country can transport them to their various country of origin. Simple. Why make it so complicated. |

This will even put the cost of transportation on the home country all deportees. The approach of the USA is crude. |

The US government may be forced to do something else drastic, like drop them off at the illegal entry points they supposedly entered from There is a protocol for deportation. All those countries are asking is for USA to follow the protocol. |

How many hospitals did he built and revamped? 3. What did he do for the civil servants in the state for 8 years? 4. Did he conduct a single promotion for them? 5. How many industries did he attracts to the state for 8 years? 6. What employment opportunities did he creates for the state?
He is able to leverage on the wealth of Rivers state, if it was a state like Benue or Zamfara he governed, he would have been a failure.
Wike just squandered Rivers state resources on the premise of doing bridges, building houses for rich judges, building courts and constructing few roads.
Tell me any capital project he did that can bring wealth to the state? You are not from Rivers State so you can't understand otherwise you would be detailing the various project he did while serving as Governor and you would not need me to share it with you. |
