Judgementa1: Beans are been exported out of the country to Niger.
Reason been that Nigeria beans is now cheaper because of the country currency devaluation.
That why the price of beans went up after border was reopen. That is the main reason coupled with insecurity in the North. I think the temporary solution is to eat alternatives to beans - protein. |

paramakina202: Exactly my point, you see it is not always about how big it is how viable and indeed 5 southeast states are very viable and doing better than majority of states that are bigger in size. The smallest in Nigeria in term of size is the most viable and successful state in Nigeria which is Lagos.Where is Oyo,Niger,Bornu etc the so called large states? Honestly, it is ridiculous that our politicians, especially from the south east are so concerned about creating more states rather than focusing on making the existing states more viable, productive and sustainable. What is the essence of an orlu state that will translate to more government expenses than improved level of development. I would rather the government focus on developing the local governments, Local Government autonomy, creating more local governments and empowering the LGA to develop the areas in each state. |

Politics › Re: Are There Still Educated People In Support Of The Bola Tinubu Presidency? by Wallade(m): 3:41pm On Jun 07, 2024 |
Kelechi009: Hello ladies and gentleman, can we have an honest discussion.
I understand that you have the right to support anyone you wish, but are you genuinely happy with the outcome as an educated person. BE HONEST!
List of genuine questions I have:
1. Are there any educated men and women who are enjoying this Tinubu regime? 2. Are you guys happy with the price hike and inflation all over the country? 3. How are you guys coping with price of groceries greatly increased? 4. Business owners, how are you able to ensure Diesel and Fuel is purchased and available?
Just in one year:
1. The hasty removal of the petrol subsidy and naira devaluation have contributed to high inflation, reduced purchasing power, and job losses
2. Structural weaknesses like heavy import dependence and lack of domestic manufacturing capacity undermine the benefits of devaluation.
3. FX Dollar reform: This first move, along with FX reforms aimed at implementing a unified, transparent, and flexible exchange rate. But has this worked? The answer is a BIG NO. We keep struggling to get the Naira/Dollar rate to a reasonable point.
Naira is 1,500 Naira to a Dollar.
4. Economic Growth Naira has been the worst performing currency in the World today as per the latest Bloomberg report
Reference: bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-05-10/usd-ngn-naira-reverses-gains-as-outlook-dims-on-declining-dollar-inflows
5. Inflation remains at record high levels for Nigeria, reaching 31.7% in February 2024, However, the reforms are expected to gradually decrease inflation BUT it has failed woefully!.
WITH ALL THIS SUFFERING, DO YOU STILL WANT TO CONTINUE? So what do you suggest that we should do? |

Righteousness2: The Word of GOD,the Holy Bible is playing out afresh right in this our World.
Just as THE ANCIENT OF THE DAYS, THE ALMIGHTY BEING OF HEAVEN Harden the Heart of Pharoah until HE buried him Alive alongside all his hosts in the Red,
GOD is Hardening the Heart of the Ayotollahs and their Cronies for a Major Showpiece to Show the Earth inhabitant that HE is the GOD of ISRAEL. When GOD wants to Destroy a Man or nation, HE hardens their Heart!!
Watch out for the likes of Russia, Turkey, Iran, Libya, and a host of other nations . GOD is putting HIS hook in their Jaw and is about to draw them down to come Fight ISRAEL in a bid to wipe ISRAEL off in what the Nible calls the GogMagog War.
The World will soon witness another BRUTALITY OF THE GOD OF ISRAEL, something similar to the Knock out pf Pharoah and all his armies.
Whoever knows or loves this man should tell him to go read to the end of Ezekiel 38 ! So as to know the Brutal End of their GogMagog Collation
I am laughing at you here. Your opinion is extremely religion based and it sounds ridiculous to me. How about you advise Israelis to stop killing innocent people and thread the part of peace with their neighbors. |

Christianity Etc › Re: No Pastor Should Earn Less Than 100k/month! GOs Should Allow Them Breathe! by Wallade(m): 12:08pm On Jun 02, 2024 |
Daejumong: General overseers need to treat local church pastors the way Jesus treated his disciples !
The average salary of a pastor in Nigeria is 30,000 to 40,000 Naira ( 30-40USD) a month! How can a pastor with a family survive on this? With the prevailing conditions in the country, GOs need to up their pay. These pastors are crying and unhappy ! Many of them work full time and don’t have any other source of income!
These pastors have to also ensure that a large percentage of income generated in church through tithes and offerings are sent to the headquarters on a weekly basis! I have had some of these devoted pastors tell me how they feel sad that the headquarters takes almost everything and they have little or nothing to run their local churches!
I find this preposterous, someone slaves away to build a local ministry and sends almost everything to the headquarters for the big boy at the top to live large with his family! GOs are not more important, special or better than any child of God.
Gal 3: 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
The General overseers in the headquarters fly private jets, drive bulletproof luxury cars and live a life of luxury while the foot soldiers( pastors in local churches) wallow in poverty! Jesus was difficult to separate from his disciples because they had the same quality of life hence the need to have a Judas betray him when the time arose.
I am looking forward to a time when it will be difficult to separate pastors of local branches from the GOs. A time when they will all wear same quality of suits, drive same quality of cars, have access to fly the private jets and also have same quality of life! That is when I will be convinced the GOs really want to be like Jesus!
All in all, General overseers need to be more considerate and put less financial pressure on their pastor foot soldiers. They should also pay them decent salaries(minimum of 100k/mth and ensure the financial gap between them and their pastors is significantly narrowed! Mark 10:43-45 43 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Kindly share so this will get to the GOs! The first question should be: Should pastoral and church function be salaried work? If so, can you support your point with bibilical references? |

Workch: While I vehemently condemn the dastardly attack on the Nigerian army In Aba, but it's better for them to do due deligence instead of attacking innocent people. We are not scared of them, no sane person should even be scared of this unprofessional armed force. If need arises, we will defend our land with our blood like our fathers did. Igbos are not known to be intimidated. We don't care about the gang up by other Nigerian tribes against us, if there's a need to defend ourselves, we will do it.
And yes, we will keep telling our children about the Nigerian gang up against igbo people until the country does the right thing just like our fathers did.
We are not scared of the army, you can go to a minority to tribe elsewhere and threaten them, not the igbos. Who wants to intimidate you? Who has time for you in this present days of Nigeria? Do we even see you? You seem to have an overrated and ambiguous impression of yourselves. Who has time to gang up against you? You are simply the one ruining yourself. |

After I was done, on my way going out, then I came in contact with the branch manager while she was coming in, when we exchanged pleasantries. Jockulaly, I asked her, why in spite of the court order restraining multichoice from increasing tariff, yet multichoice went ahead and increased the tariff? To my amazement, the manager asked me, do you people have courts in Nigeria?
I am still shocked to the marrow, the question that is still begging for answers in my mind now is, what are the causes for these rots in our institutions? Please somebody should educate me Thank you all She asked you a very good question. My experiences with the Nigerian Judiciary system also implies that the legal/judiciary institutions are ineffective, slow and weak. Law enforcement is also very selective and nauseating. It is almost advisable to take laws into ones hands in Nigeria. |
