With december comes the thought of 2015, and especially the thought of election. Let us with one voice pray that elections wouldn't lead to bloody violence. God bless you all. Merry Christmas in advance 2u all. |

Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State is likely to emerge as the director general of Muhammad Buhari’s presidential campaign if the former military head of state is selected as the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on December 8th. Two top sources within the party disclosed the plans to a correspondent of SaharaReporters in an interview focusing on the APC’s strategy for the February 2015 elections. The sources said Mr. Buhari’s inner circle tipped Mr. Amaechi for the position of campaign overseer shortly after the party hierarchy reportedly agreed to zone the vice presidential slot to the southwest zone of the country. “The party decided to zone the VP position to the southwest in view of the zone’s crucial importance in the plan to win the 2015 elections convincingly,” one source said. Our sources did not name any possible candidates for the VP slot, but one of them claimed that several candidates would be screened. Mr. Amaechi, who had been identified as a possible candidate for the VP post, reportedly agreed to drop his aspiration after he was convinced that a vice presidential candidate from the south-south may not excite southwest voters enough to enable the APC to win the region http://saharareporters.com/2014/11/29/governor-amaechi-tipped-director-general-buhari-campaign-party-zones-vp-slot-southwest |

Pls I have a question bothering me. Does the President have the constitutional powers to direct the IGP on what to do regardless what the IGP feels about the subject matter? If he does direct, does the IGP have the powers to decline the directives if he so desires? I feel I'll analyse better if I'm well informed on this |

I honestly don't know if this impeachment thing iڪ possible, especially when I'm aware from antecedents that once 'Ghana must go' changes hands, this move may die naturally....... But one thing I know, we are gradually inviting the military to take over aso rock and we seem not to realise it...... |
It may be easier to remove Jonathan by vote than by impeachment |
Hmmm |
Jasi7:On the contrary, I think it iڪ better to say 'Yeye women'. They are the fools here and not the man if you know what I mean. Anyway, just imagine the pastor, after this round of 'yan*h smelling' like dogs come out to address them by saying.... The Area K Command of the Lagos State Police Command weekend recovered about 1,700 Permanent Voters Card (PVC) from a bush at the Seme area. Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, Kenneth Nwosu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the PVC's were abandoned. He said, "Policemen attached to Area ‘K’ Command Morogbo, recovered about 1,700 Permanent Voters Card (PVC) abandoned by unknown persons in a bush at Seme Area. "The PVCs were suspected to have been stolen from members of staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the Ajeromi area of Lagos. http://www.aitonline.tv/post-lagos_police_recover_1_700_voters_cards_from_seme_bush |
Hmmm. Let me quickly say that I don't belong to any political party, BUT my vote will likely go to APC if I have to. Having stated this. I must say that I have watched this buhari/atiku 'friendly match' for the party ticket...... Buhari enjoys popularity. Even the press has really helped in his publicity. Honestly I think Buhari iڪ being carried away by this. While Mr. Atiku iڪ busy doing the underground work (perhaps that's what political calculations iڪ all about). None of them need us now. Who they need now are the delegates, which Atiku iڪ really working on seriously while general iڪ busy addressing public. I think †ђξ APC chieftains saw this and tried getting a consensus candidate. Atiku iڪ fighting that seriously 'cos he believes in the work he's doing. APC chieftains are probably beginning to see that if it iڪ left for primaries to decide, Atiku may take the day. But their fear iڪ that Atiku maynot be able to be able to ultimately deliver the presidency. Anyway, we still dey watch sha |
I just thought about this, but couldn't just imagine what it would look like. So I decided to hear the views of others on this. Regardless of whether someone is PDP or APC or call it anything. Imagine the man Peter Ayodele Fayose in charge of Aso Rock. What can we expect of him? |
Can't Jonathan pretend not to be behind all these for once? This iڪ rather getting out of hands. And this IG is just having a field day disrespecting the laws of the land. This IG appears to be acting a script given to him. I just pity this old man (senate president david mark). Historically, when Jona causes trouble that he can't handle again, he turns to †ђξ senate president to help him intervene. Yet, †ђξ boss himself won't stop causing more trouble. Mark was able to intervene in fuel subsidy saga, ASUU saga, NMA, etc..... I hope he will still be able to help the boss to clean his pampers in this case too |
aljharem:I'm surprised you are talking this way. He should stay outside and wait for 7 to be greater than 23 again? We all know your game plan- prevent the speaker from entering, make ihedioha preside and impeach tambuwal. So that he goes to court again....... One thing I like about this Fayose iڪ that he's not predictable. ..... I think he just acts based on the level of intoxication he iڪ in any point in time. Sometimes I wonder if he thinks. A man should have something he stands for as principle. For this man, he just appear to have defective thinking faculty based on utterances he makes. But I ask Ekiti people: How did you get yourselves into this mess? Stomach Infrastructure? |
Just in now: Taraba acting governor has just been pronounced sacked by the supreme court. The impeached deputy governor is to be reinstated as substantive deputy governor. And in the absence of the governor now, the deputy governor is to emerge the acting speaker. Source: AIT Focus Nigeria. Details soon |
The immediate past Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, yesterday, began a legal battle at the Abuja Federal High Court to reclaim his seat and preside over the affairs of the party untill 2016. He is also seeking an order of the court empowering him to preside over the forthcoming national convention of the party. He had, about 24 hours ago revealed that he was forced to resign his office to allow the defected governors return to the party. But Tukur, who claimed that his tenure was still running; his resignation being unprocedural requested an order of the court setting aside the purported resignation letter dated January 15, 2014 and reinstate him as the substantive and duly elected chairman of the party at its national convention in 2012 until the completion of his term in 2016. He also wants the court to restrain the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, from further recognising, permitting or allowing Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu to preside over the affairs of the party. He wants the court to declare that his resignation was null and void and that the appointment of Mu’azu by the NEC of the party was also null and void being inconsistent with Section 45(1) and (2) of the party constitution. He had earlier asked the court to determine whether his purported resignation complies with Section 47(5) of the party’s constitution as amended. Tukur also asked the court to decide whether if his purported resignation did not comply with Section 47(5) of the PDP constitution will not renders the resignation null and void. The former party boss also asked the court to decide whether the appointment of Mu’azu is not in contravention of Section 45(1) and (2) of the party constitution, Section 85(3) of the Electoral Act, 2010 and Section 223(1) of the 1999 Constitution. His litany of requests are contained in the counterclaim he instituted in a suit seeking to sack Muazu. In law, a counter claim has the status of an independent suit different from the principal case. The counter claim was filed yesterday at the registry of the court through his counsel, Adamson Adeboro. The counter claim was a response to a suit instituted by an aspirant to the House of Representatives in Adamawa State, Aliyu Abuba Gurin seeking to unseat Mu’azu and also stop the party’s planned delegates convention. The trial judge, Justice Evoh Chukwu will this morning hear Tukur’s request. It would be recalled that Tukur had claimed in a process filed in the same suit that he was forced to resign his position as the national chairman of the party in order for the seven defected governors to come back to the party. Tukur had further revealed that following the defection of the seven PDP governors to the All Progressive Congress, APC, in 2013, pressure was mounted on President Goodluck Jonathan to remove him to enable the governors return to the party. In the counter claim filed yesterday, Tukur is asking the court for an order in the original suit asking the court to stop the planned national convention of the PDP scheduled for 10th and 11th of December, 2014. The plaintiff in the suit also contended that the resignation of Tukur did not comply with the provision of Section 47(5) of the constitution of the party which stipulates that a 30 days’ notice be given to the NEC by Tukur. The defendants in the suit are the PDP, Alhaji Tukur, Mu’azu and INEC. In a seven paragraph affidavit in support of the counter claim deposed to by one Femi Ekperobe, Tukur averred that he had stepped aside as the chairman of the party for the defected governors to return but surprisingly, 10 months after, the governors are yet to return. He also averred that in a situation in which he could not finish his four years tenure as the chairman, he is to hand over to the deputy national chairman as acting chairman in line with the constitution of the party pending the holding of a national convention to elect new national chairman. Tukur further stated that the NEC of the party has no power to appoint the national chairman adding that the votes and proceedings of NEC held at Wadata House on January 15 and 20, which deliberated on his resignation and appointment of Mu’azu as chairman are nullity. He further added that even if he had submitted a letter of resignation on January 15 to the party, the letter did not comply with Section 47(5) of the party’s constitution, which requires that a 30 days prior notice should be given. Furthermore, Tukur stated that the subsequent presentation of Mu’azu to NEC as the new chairman for appointment did not comply with Section 47(6) of the party constitution, Section 85(3) of the Electoral Act, 2010 and Section 223(1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended). Also, he stated that as at the time of appointment of Mu’azu as the national chairman of the party, no vacancy existed in the office of the national chairman. He further stated that the Mu’azu lacks power to preside over the planned convention as such will nullify the proceedings of the convention if allowed to do so. He however submitted that it will be in the interest of all parties if status quo ante bellum is maintained, pending the election of a new chairman by the national convention. nationalmirroronline.net/new/bamanga-tukur-asks-court-to-reinstate-him-as-pdp-chairman/ |
I see a looming crisis even within the pdp family..... That might be dangerous for the re-election bid. Even Tukur is in court now. Muazu's leg shakes. Tambuwal may benefit |
Happy Birthday Mr. President. I congratulate you sir. I pray you will begin to think rightly from now on in Jesus Name |

Nigeria's House of Representatives is set to reconvene on Thursday to decide finally on the request by the President to extend the emergency rule in three northeast states ravaged by Boko Haram. The states include Bornu, Yobe, and Adamawa. The President, in a letter to the National Assembly, requested the approval of the two chambers to extend the emergency rule in those states to curtail incessant attacks on the innocent citizens by the Boko Haram sect. The President's letter reads: "By virtue of the provision of section 305(6)(c) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended, the proclamation aforementioned will elapse after a period is extended by National Assembly. “It is important to state that despite concerted efforts by this administration to stem the tide of terrorism and insurgency in the affected states, the security challenges that necessitated the proclamation are yet to abate." “Consequently, it has become imperative to request the approval of the House of Representatives for extension of the period for state emergency for a further period of six months." An investigation revealed that leadership of the House is meeting secretly in Abuja to perfect the plans of turning down the request to ensure that only emergency is rule is listed in the order paper and no any other matter is consider for debate until the House is properly resumed on 3rd of December. According to reliable sources in the House, some disgruntled elements of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus loyal to the President are planning to cause commotion and unleash mayhem at the plenary session and call for the Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, to resign his seat. Failure to comply will resort to chaos, they allegedly promised. Meanwhile, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were said to have been "battle-ready" in case of any eventuality. The senate on Tuesday deferred the approval for the extension of emergency rule in the aforementioned states after a heated debate which held behind closed doors. The meeting, which lasted for an hour with Senate President David Mark, announced that the senators have met and discussed on extension of emergency rule and that senators will continue the discussion tomorrow. http://saharareporters.com/2014/11/18/house-reconvene-over-extension-emergency-rule-northeast-states |

Son of Late Dr. Myles and Ruth Munroe Speaks at the 2014 Global Leadership Summit the Conference that his late parents were attending before the crash... #MylesMunroe THE ADDRESS "I would like to take this time to address all of you here and everyone around the world that has shown their support and expressed their condolences during this difficult time. I want you all to know that in spite of the recent tragedy that claimed the lives of my parents, Dr Myles and Ruth Munroe, my Uncle, Dr Richard Pinder, our Chief Pilot, Captain Stanley Thurston, our first officer, Farkhan Cooper, our Youth Pastors Lavard and Radel Parks, their son Johannan Parks and their unborn child and our their friend, Diego Santiago. We all have comfort in knowing that God is in control. I know there are many questions as to how or why some thing like this would be allowed to happen to such great individuals, but still God is in control. The past few days have been the most difficult times for my sister and I, my family and all those affected by this loss. We are all saddened by this tragic event, but we are comforted and encouraged by the outpouring of love and support we've received from everyone around the country and from those around the world at large . I want to thank everyone that has called, that has emailed, that has messaged or that has just gave words of encouragement. We are truly grateful. I would like to make it known that though we are grieving our losses, and deeply saddened by this tragic event, we have never been nor would we ever feel hopeless. There is no question in our heart that the spirits of the 9 persons who were taken, are now resting with our Heavenly Father . We rejoice for we know they are in a better place, watching over all of us and rejoicing among the heavenly angels. We will not allow death to claim any victory but we celebrate the life and the legacy of each individual. This tragedy does not mark the end, the end of life, the end of a vision, the end of a journey nor the end of a purpose, but it marks the new beginning of an era. An era of a new generation that will carry on the vision and the legacy of my father and my mother and of each individual whose life was lost so unexpectedly. So let's not mourn their deaths but celebrate their lives and find joy knowing that although God may not explain Himself, He will reveal Himself . In the words of my father, " The greatest tragedy in life is not death but it's a life without a purpose. " We know there is a greater purpose in all of these and we are now the vessels for this new vision and new legacy to be carried on. So once again, on behalf of myself, my Aunt, sister, cousins, my family and on behalf of all of those who have lost a loved one this weekend, we say thank you for your kind words, your kind messages and your phone calls, we are grateful. We are not hopeless, we are not mourning their deaths, but we celebrate their lives. Thank you." #iCelebrateMylesMunroe |
