PoliticsRe: Fashola Dancing Shoki At APC Campaign Rally (photos) by wallex1983(m): 12:02am On Jan 20, 2015
lurther:
And he was denied an electoral post by tinubu. How in the whole wide world will a man be governor for 8 good solid years and he couldn't influence the aftermaths of his exit. Once fashola leaves office 29th of may, that is the end of his shadow in lagos state. His only hope is just for APC to win and lobby for appointment.

He could not even get the senatorial ticket to stay relevant. And some people will say here that he is not greedy ooo.
He didn't even have a say on whom his successor would be. After 8 good solid years of being a governor and he is still dancing shoki for tinubu.

I love this guy, but after 8years and he still has no say in lagos, then there must be something wrong somewhere.
Everything isn't all about recycling and perhaps tasting all elective offices. That's one of the lessons Fashola iڪ teaching you. But let me correct a notion. If APC wins, Fashola will NEVER lobby for appointment. He would choose from options.

PoliticsFebruary Polls: Mark Urges PDP Faithfulnot To Allow APC Rig Party Out by wallex1983(op): 10:18am On Jan 18, 2015
Senate President, Chief David Mark, has urged
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwarts to
assiduously promote the good works of the party
before the electorate so that victory at the
various levels where elections will be conducted
can be guaranteed for the party.
Mark, who disclosed this in Abuja yesterday
while addressing party faithful from the North
Central Zone comprising FCT, Benue, Nasarawa,
Kogi, Kwara, Niger and Plateau States, said:”We
want to win convincingly at all levels. There will
be no room for any manipulation. We as
members of the PDP will not rig. We will not
allow opposition parties to rig us out. We have
enough evidence to show to the electorate why
the PDP remain the preferred choice in 2015,
The Senate President consequently advised
politicians and political parties planning
electoral malpractices to think otherwise because
“we are committed to free, fair, credible and
acceptable elections.”
While enjoining his party members not to take
anything for granted, he harped the need for
them to strategize and reach out to the electorate
ahead of the polls.
The PDP chieftain, who acknowledged the
challenges posed by the opposition All
Progressives Congress (APC), expressed optimism
that PDP had lived up to its billings particularly
as regards delivering dividends of democracy to
Nigerians. He described the situation as palpable
evidence and an indication that it would do more
if given another mandate.
Senator Mark went on to list the dividends to
include return of the railway transport services,
improved Road networks, modernized airports,
Agriculture and rural development, enhanced
power supply, political stability, adherence to
the principles of rule of law and human rights as
well as freedom of expression under President
Goodluck, Ebele Jonathan’s administration.
Speaking separately, Governors Gabriel Suswam,
Jonah Jang and Babangida Aliyu of Benue,
Plateau and Niger States respectively assured
that they would work hard to ensure the victory
of PDP in the zone.
While they regretted the incursion of the APC
into their geopolitical zone, the governors
insisted that PDP remains the party to beat in the
next February’s general elections.

SportsAFCON 2015 And 2015 General Elections: Nigerian Non Qualification- Plus Or Minus by wallex1983(op): 6:04am On Jan 18, 2015
Well, the battle has begun for the emergence of a new champion of the African Football. Unfortunately, it iڪ so certain Nigeria will be de-robed of this title as it doesn't have the opportunity to attempt to defend it.

Meanwhile, same time the AFCON finals are being sorted on the pitch iڪ the same time the political temperature of nigerian politics iڪ hyped.

It iڪ widely accepted that football unites. I maynot be able to say that for politics.

My question iڪ: Nigerian non qualification for AFCON, iڪ it a blessing in disguise or a minus for our political tension this year. Do you think if Nigeria had qualified, it would make any difference in 2015 election? What could that be? Could it have helped us this period or raised the nation's "already raised blood pressure?"
PoliticsJonathan Reconciles Gov. Obiano And Peter Obi (pix) by wallex1983(op): 4:51am On Jan 18, 2015
A mild drama played out today at the palace of
Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe when the
revered monarch invited the Governor of
Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano and his
predecessor, Chief Peter Obi and urged President
Jonathan to reconcile them as the duo have been
having some issues.

President Goodluck Jonathan who did exactly
what was asked of him when he paid
unscheduled visit to the second Niger bridge
project site at the Onitsha-Asaba axis as part of
activities marking his official presidential
campaign tour to Anambra state.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on the Obi
Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha at
the Ime-Obi palace, President Jonathan said he
decided to pay a visit to the second Niger bridge
site ascertain the true position of work at the
multi-billion project which he said is very critical
to his administration.

“I decided that I must visit the site of the second
Niger Bridge to know the level of work there
because some people have been saying all sort of
things and on my way here, I said I must visit it
before coming to pay courtesy call on His
Majesty. Work is in progress as the project which
will gulp over N1.35 billion is making process”
President Jonathan further disclosed that the
federal government has released N10 billion for
the projects out of which over N1.5b was used to
pay damages as part of efforts to accelerate work
at the project.

“We have released N10 billon for the project out
of which N1.5 billion was used to pay damages. I
also discovered that work is really in progress as
the access road that will lead to the bridge that is
about 3km have been graded just to make sure
that there is access to the site and I spoke with
the management of Julius Berger and they
assured me that the project will be completed
within 40 months” he said.

On his visit to Anamabra, President Jonathan
who was accompanied by his wife, Dame
Patience Jonathan and Vice President, Arch.
Namadi Sambo said he came to seek the support
of Ndi Anambra and South East in general ahead
of next month general elections.

He expressed optimism that his presidential
aspiration would get the support of the people of
the zone, adding “I get a very big support from
the South East and that is why I decided to pay a
courtesy call on you, Your Majesty to tell you
that your son, Azikiwe Jonathan is contesting for
the presidential election”

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo To Jonathan: It Is Too Late To Support You! by wallex1983(m): 6:40am On Jan 14, 2015
I honestly feel emotional for Jonathan. Despite the insults OBJ has melted out to his person, he still bows 2him for support. But GEJ caused this really. He allowed things 2 degenerate btw him and this old man before he suddenly realised the pivotal role the Egba man has played in his life. I think for GEJ, life has 2move on. He has 2 forge ahead with or without Baba. He has to be a MAN now. Though my vote may not be for him, but I wish he had been more careful 2avoid this situation. Buhari may not win o. But my vote still goes for him 2day. I don't know of Febuhari 14th sha
