Work's good. Its a long weekend, thanks to July 4th. My roommates and I had a little celebration at home. We grilled chicken and sausage rolls using the family grill, fried plantains and made hot dogs out of the sausage rolls with bread, together with soda. July 4th fireworks were all over the place near my house last night.

Persevere. Its summer and the best time to make some good money. I know how that feels.

I was promoted recently at my job (with salary increase) hence I need not work extra long hours.

Exactly, you got it right on the issue of deportation. Same thing happened to a colleague of mine at work, he's Indian and the brother came visiting with all his school's transcripts, certificate and some loan certificate he got. He told me his brother was sent on secondary inspection and that's how they detected his intentions.

I intend to apply for Studies in the US and don't know much about it as I just started this thread. Can anyone advice me of whcih cheap Schools that Offers a program in Accounting or the relevance?

Note: I have an IELTS result 5.0, PTE 49 and I have WAEC result. Please advice me with Schools and the possible requirements and other steps.

5.0 in IELTS is too low if i am not wrong but you need to get a school that accept 5.0 although most i have seen starts from 5.5

You can have a roommate and still live like a stranger. I would advice you have a roommate just to share cost but not necessarily to cure boredom or catch fun. Just make sure if you're a graduate student you get a graduate roommate.

Let me shed more light on apartment issue. First, most apt are not bills inclusive. You will have to pay your bills yourself(light, wifi/cable). The wifi is not compulsory, if you don't want wifi/cable then don't pay (you only get disconnected). When you read shared 2bd for 439, in some cases it means you pay 439 for the room while your roommate also pay 439. It's hardly you find a 2bd for that amount, but it solely depends on where you want to stay, the state or city you're in or your taste of house. I was to get apt with 4guys. It's a 4bedroom duplex for $1000 monthly. It's distance from school is about 25mins walk, though the distance wasn't an issue cos we have a bus system that's free for students. Two of the guys are chain smokers and they don't know anything other than sex and club. Yes I love sex but not to that extent. I'm glad I didn't as one among them got a rape charge, brought a 17year old drunk girl. She woke the next morning and called 911 that he took advantage of her(rape).

Make sure whoever your living with you sign that lease together else you're just squatting, you can be evicted anytime your money expires. He will be the one to make the rules. There is no perfect roommate anywhere, you might happen to be the problem of the house as well. Do your things yourself, avoid over familiarity. make sure there are rules I. The house including washing of dishes and bathroom. Don't be too quick to share your probs with a roommate except you've studied his kind of person properly.

Don't go and have a broke roommate oh, those guys won't allow your food rest. The first time I made plantain porridge with dried fish, came back from school and could only find the pot in the sink. Omo, I call the guy tell am say make him quit the familiarity say me na Omo Eko, no butter for the bread oh na ororo o.

However,I've got some few questions for now
1.I will be taking the sat by fall this year.but still undecided on whether to take it by October or by November... I need advise on which test date will be better with regards to scholarship application consideration.
2.What Sat score will be okay to secure admission with partial or full scholarship?
3.if everything go as planned(it will IJN)..what's my probable resumption period next year!

SAT is a combination of Mathematics, Critical reading and Essay.. As for the score to secure admission will be determine by your choice of schools. Some schools required 400 each in all the 3 sections and while school required more than 470 upward.

If you write it in October you can still meet up Spring admission but it depend on you to determine which semester you want to apply either spring 2016 (Resumption is January) or Fall 2016 (Resumption is August)

SAT registration is out according to college board website but the forms are yet to be in Nigeria maybe their representative will get it before July ending.

True, but there are some critical positions you need to be balanced. There are many positions I am worried about one of which has to do with the census. If we all fold our arms and let the northerners put themselves in those positions we would be susceptible to rigging. I mean how can you trust a region that still maintain kano is more populated than lagos.

Get there before 6.30am because exactly 6.30am, applicants for interview that day will be asked to march in for security check.

Even though you get there late maybe 7am or 12noon, you will be allow to do you interview but do not go there late oooo

Undergraduate dont get RA or TA, how could would VO ask you if you write RA or TA.. I think the VO just dont want to give you visa and he might be in a sad mood then..

Some VO can be funny at times with their funny questions but they just wanted to know what you are doing and if you are serious and you intention and if truly you do the admission processing yourself..

Anyway never give up and re fire back but defer till spring and write a test either SAT or Ielts or Toefl but SAT is cheaper compare to toefl and ielts but in SAT you will solve mathematics

You print only the confirmation page of appointment but that page one is okay where you have your your names and details of your appointment with the bar code of ds160 and appointment

Except the 30 day rule don't apply at poe.....no amount of convincing won't stop them from sending you back....they would tell you if you came on the 13th of next month you will have 30 days to sort yourself out which is more than enough
