Hello wiring, please note the College of Education and not University. In College of Education and other ND awarding institutions, a first degree holder can be employed as an Assistant Lecturer [1]. Maybe your question should be why is he a Lecturer with B.Sc qualification.

Also, it is very possible for him to have started studying for his Masters before or after he started working in the CoE. You must have seen workers studying for Masters in various universities across Nigeria. Abi na only GEJ own must different?

FYI, conference paper is also a publication. At the moment, I'm working on a paper to be presented in a conference come next year which will also be published on a top professional organization journal.
Also, in any publication, the first author is usually the main contributor or owner of that publication just like in this case.

On your second question, that is very possible. I remember my lecturer then who was running his PhD in a different school. Meanwhile if you check the number 7 reference on that publication you'll notice that he actually completed his MSc in 1984.

Dont mind them, You will notice that people like them dont attend university at all because if they do am sure they wont be doubting or asking this kind of question .. Imagine someone asking a useless and clueless question.

They will be the first person to type and say the president is clueless not knowing that they are also clueless too..

It was appropriately labeled Conference or workshop item. It was a joint paper presented at a workshop. It would be very difficult to determine jonathan's contributions.

He obtained his M.sc at the University of Port Harcourt in 1985 and he was a Lecturer at the Dept. Of Biology, Rivers State College of Education, Port Harcourt from 1983 – 1993. How did that work? he was lecturing at one university while studying to obtain an M.sc in another university.

Am not into politics but do you go to school at all do you think Msc is like Bsc when you will be going to school from Monday to Friday/Saturday to receive lectures?

Ikoyi i was up because of him because he told me he will be coming over to my place so we can both go together i have been calling his number.

Okay sorry for not seeing him yesterday.. Well he told me last night that he will be going to MMIA by 7am today but he still wish to see me and i asked him to go by 10am if he want us to see because i will sleep and wake before 8am..
