Traditionally, the igbos fancy or are more comfortable with other lands more than theirs and when the second Niger bridge is executed, Asaba will be much more closer and easily accessed from Onitsha than the location of the Anambra Airport. Asaba Airport serves not just Onitsha but environs up to Uromi in Edo state. By the way, Asaba will still have a share of the Onitsha commuters.

I believe Asaba airport is even closer to Onitsha the commercial hub of the east than Anambra airport which is in Umueri. The only advantage is that Anambrarians who use the airport during xmas period would have avoided the nightmarish hold-ups and terrible situation at the Niger-bridge during the yuletide.

That's not true! Obi had a running battle with Massob while he was the governor of state prompting him to bring in Army thru the then president OBJ to deal with them.
