I guess thats what nailed your chances of getting the visa. You gave the VO that you had an alternative already in Nigeria which would also be cheaper for you as well. You dont need to mention that part when going for the interview again.

A man lied about it and he was shown his 2010 application on the computer screen but he was lucky he was given his visa.

Very much possible sir! Sometimes a one-way ticket is more expensive than a round trip even when you check directly on the carrier's website without going through an agent. I think the trick is to overprice their one-way tickets unreasonably to market their return tickets.

If you have played the most recent one or any one at all, do not deny it out rightly. A kinda "safe" response is to tell the VO one that of your brothers/friends/sisters/etc has made it a habit to be playing for you every year and that you would not be surprised if it has already been played for you this year cos you don't keep a tab on it. The overall goal is to eliminate any impression of lingering desperateness to go the US despite having played the lottery.
