gallivant: Oh the irony...Gallivant you dont have to fear your brother over a little matter of opinion. You got some good points. Atleast we can not have a 100% common opinion on this subject, but believe me, Litmus is absolutely right on his views. I suggest we all learn to maintain a tone of friendliness, even while we object, as this will promote an atmosphere of peace. NIGERIA as a name is in a mess outside the border and that's what we all looking at, not that we're condemning our land. |
Spirit of Okija: Cos we are bad...but we can change. Cant we? |
justwise: Both of you are not saying the same thing.European business school courses are financially cheaper to run for international students and are more flexible than European universities' |
My dream and vision is seeing Nigeria glory being restored back. In the 60's and 70's, Nigerian Passport can enter almost all the countries of the world visa free or visa on arrival. Even US and UK granted visa to bonafide Nigerians on a platter of gold. But today, things have changed, we now witness Nigerians selling their lands and properties, working and saving for years in order to secure a visa and dwell on the soil of the so called greener pastures. It is good to aim high but dont give more than necessary into that travel project of your's, let us know your plans and help you ease the financial burden. Please Note: this thread is opened to advice from experienced and matured nairalanders with great and useful travel ideas. Questions can be asked by any member in need of help or advice on the topic but please dont send abusive posts. |
queensmith: Abeg please go, there are many Nigeria's there to keep you company. The bigger boys and girls are in the business school. Plus I'm tired of brainy Nigerian's wasting their talents in rubbish uni's. It's not much more than the other Unis. Scrape together the cash and go there! bless xxGood point. Infact, Nigerians are burning hell of money on UK uni's degree. |
3. there is a 5 years working visa from a sponsor who can either ask for 2 years contract with you or just getting it from a sponsor that you wont work with but you will sort yourself when you arrive here.if you have your certificate handy and you are good at what you do...am sure you will get a good job between a spate of 1-3months! 4.the visa now cost about $4000 to get due to influx of foreigners and undue exposure of Qataris to cash from desperate Nigerians....and you will get it between a spate of 4-6weeks. 5.prepare an average sum of N20000 per month for accommodation,N11000 for medicals and N80000 for miscellaneous expenses pending when you will get a job, luckily most jobs comes with accommodation and transport so with time you will cover all your past expenses! 6.finally...an average job for a professional here gets an average salary of $1500-$3000...so i think its worth it!
$4000! Is that your service charge or the visa fee? |

Nigeria is a great country, let's all pray for her and join hands together for her growth. I believe in the success of Nigeria. |
Malaysia is a good option when you have money for business, I have a friend that was there for few years in and out, he often travel to singapore and australia, both not far from malaysia, and send goods to nigeria. He deals in electronics and was making good money. |
I dont think the op is paris 10.
I will even like to see what this paris10 posted, that's if possible cos I still believe the "Tribal War" @justwise used must have been for a very bad post, to which I will suggest such poster should be realy warned. |
justwise: Run a check and see when I joined the forum, and please dont insult me cos I apologised for mistaking a single post for my tread, I'm a mature man and I hate exchanging abusive words, if you are perfect here I'm sorry I'm not, I'm still new to managing tread and I made myself clear that I thought you have hidden my whole tread, didn't know it's for the @paris10, whose post are not visible to me. |
You can't be sure how good or bad a country will be for you by judging from the testimonies of those immigrants staying there, but I will suggest that you yield to their genuine advice to avoid unwanted experiences you may not plan for. There are host of other better and easy-to-enter countries. |
justwise: So you are paris10?My apology, I thought the whole tread would henceforth be hidden once its abused. But I believe you would have known I am not so conversant with how the treading system works. I will like to briefly share a story, there was an incident that occured when I was sailing on a foreign going vessel. 3 guys (we call them stowaway) sneeked in onboard through the help of one of the crew with the aim to exit at the 1st European Port of call. Unfortunately for them, the Chief Engineer, who's a dutchman caught one of them and that disclosed where in the engine room the other two guys were hiding. Normally stowaways must be handed over to the police at the nearest port of call for the sake of insurance security but many lucky ones have become seafarers through this illegal move as caught stowaways always beg captains for mercy and considerations. So interogating these guys, two of them are nigerians with 1st degree certs, one of which has even worked on a fishing trawler before, meaning those 2 nigerians stood a good chance to be considered for Rating (unskilled seaman) positions. The third of them is from Ghana, he got no cert with him and has never been onboard ship before, the only thing he claimed he can do that relates to maritime is swiming, but the captain chose to retain the ghanaian while he handed the two nigerians over to "the marine" at the next port of call. The last I heard this Ghanaian is now sailing as an officer in holand. Majority of the crew of the vessel i sailed on are philipino and they got much lots of bad sides too but yet they enjoys far better recognitions and are much more valued than those of us that are nigerians. Let me add this, if you see any nigerian seafarer on a foreign going vessle that enjoys good treatment just ask him, he will tell you his vessel often sail down to nigeria for loading or off loading, so the captain and the host of the rest top white officers will always make use of him to ease their stress in many ways while on nigeria water or port. They dont just woke up and started maltreating nigerians, it's as a result of the injuries they have suffered in the hands of these bad nigerians. As for me I'm proud to be a Nigerian, even though it sucks when you step out of homeland. |
justwise: @paris10I sugest you need to change the way you react to people's expressions. I couldn't understand what you mean by "Tribal war" as my topic has nothing to do with that, or should I assume you dont understand the topic I posted. I have visited several countries and I dont need to start listing out ugly stories to convience you there are some bad nigerians outside home inflicting us with virus we frequent travellers suffer from. I am neither a politician nor a government critic, but I believe the sole reason the owner of this web forum put it in place is to ensure people from around the world come here and share objectives, experiences, ideas, among others useful to build our beloved nation Nigeria and change the for better our name at the global level. So hiding my tread to me is nothing but an unreasonable action against the truth that is meant to restore our lost glory. |
Wasbayd: Our name will keep going messy until we find something to do with this problem, let's work hard to correct this wrong. |
raphrinco: Yes is true but is hard to get it now so some dubious agents are giving people 1month visiting or tourist visa and when such victims enter here theybecome stranded .In Qatar if your visit or tourist visa expires my brother you will start paying 400 naira or 8,0000 naira everyday until you go back home.Someone here can do it for you bought you must pay for it to be done.thanks, so how much will the person charge? |
