The scariest thing about all these illegalities is the doctrine of precedence being laid for subsequent dispensations.
Rule of law and due process is what diffentiates Democracy from Khakistomobocracy or Buharicrazy
All these tyrannical impunities are not in any interests of Nigeria nor the common man. |

Politics › Re: Top 3 Most Significant Convictions Secured By EFCC In 2018 by Waspy(m): 7:41am On Dec 28, 2018 |
Clevite: A typical criminal case in Nigeria takes between 7 to 10 years on average to fully prosecute. And that is just at the High Court level, not including Court of Appeal and Supreme Court stages. It becomes more difficult if the case is a high profile one involving powerful political elites on corruption charges.
Therefore, when a President complains of a slow Nigerian system which does not entail his Executive arm alone but also the Legislative and Judicial arms over which he has little or no influence, a deeply concerned citizen would reason with him and not just criticize him for the sake of easy criticism alone but think about the way out. The Judiciary utilizes the law while the legislative and executive can make the laws. Election tribunal cases used to take forever before a time frame was bench-marked for conclusion of all election related cases Any government serious with fighting corruption will look into how to hasten the court process on corruption charges |
