Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, has described himself as being too old to be governor.

Speaking in Kaduna on the need to reform the State Civil Service, El-Rufai emphasised on the need for young and experienced Nigerians to govern states in the country.

“Public service is for young people. I’m too old to be a governor. I should have been a governor when I was 40-something.

“We just have to find a way to give way to the younger generation and, in Kaduna, we are working on that.”

The former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, noted that his government was looking to reform the state’s civil service to enhance service delivery.

According to the governor, ageing workers would be eased out and replaced with younger, “tech-savvy workforce.”

“If we don’t do that, we will not have a modern civil service and ICT-compliant public service,” he said.

My name is Tope. I am 26 and have had problems with hemorrhoids for years. It was getting to where I was spending several hours indoor due to the pains and discomfort. I don't socialize, don't go out, always behind closed doors.

I got referred to a surgeon recently and he said I had bad case and set me up for surgery. They decided to do a colenistimy (colon probe. where I guess they pump you full of air and put a tube all the way up) and I was told afterwards that I had some of the largest they had seen.

Going with the index of INEC, they said 78% of Nigerian Voters are youths, which we estimate to 98 Million youths. We also estimate to have about 30 million youth voters with valid voters card that can vote out of the total numbers of qualified voters.

If 50million Nigeria youths come together, pick a candidate amongst themselves, task everyone to contribute N30 every week for two months, we shall record an inflow of cash that will amount to #1.5bn for a week, then add the months to the amount, you will record for just two months, #12bn which can be managed very well with all due accountability and transparency for campaign and elections issues.

Then again, the 30 million youths can in turn cast their votes for their candidate, which of course is someone who is representing their interest, they also have the power and Influence that can spread to their parents, which will attract more votes for them.

With such votes cast, the youths can take power away from the old men and political gladiators, whose interest is against the desires of the common Nigerian.

But we the youths have rather choosen to spend our money and time on BBNAIJA and ZEE-WORLD. Though everyone have a right to enjoy what makes him happy, yet we need to think of the present and future pains, cries and anguish of Nigeria.

At times, we the Youths are the architect of our predicaments, as we have decided to be spectators in the political arena while our Aged fathers remain the gladiators. As to your question I'm from Benue state and yes the improvement of road I met in Benue state from makurdi to oturkpo and oturkpo ogobia my brother I was impress(under goodluck administration) the popular Lagos IBADAN express road that has been in sham so many years ago rehabilitation of that road began with goodluck administration(funding, execution and everything). Yes I have travelled to minna as far back 2009, the roads were not as bad at that time through kwara state, bida, the university road was perfect at that time it had the best road in the north that time. Transportation, it's no new the goodluck administration spent a lot to make sure the m railway system of the country is brought back to life.

Nigeria was relatively secured, only a section of the country was in tumor at that time we all knew why. Corruption? If I may ask what's corruption? They've painted corruption as any man who was or still in the PDP. Lol all of you should continue deceiving yourself.

I don't knw which state u r and i don't knw how many states u have travel to within 2yrs. But what i have experience is amazing. Under pdp, its take yrs with pain to travel frm lagos to minna. But ask anybody now how it is? Lagos to ibadan expressway, we all see what is goin on. Recently, contract for rail line has been signed. And how much is the crude oil. Wht about agriculture? Since the Kemi Olunloyo and Pastor Ibiyeomie saga became a police affair, I've read several comments from supposed Christians urging the pastor on. When it is made clear to them that a preacher is not to react in the manner Pastor Ibiyeomie did, in that he ought to overlook the matter by forgiving her without taking action, like Christ would, , they shift the goal post to saying that Kemi Olunloyo didn't ask for forgiveness.

Did the people that were killing Jesus ask for forgiveness before he said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do"? Now, tell me, a crime of killing you versus a crime of defaming you, which is more easy to forgive without taking action?

Pastor Ibiyeomie calls himself a Christian i.e like Christ, yet he isn't acting like one. He has enjoyed all the good side of being a Christian. But now that it is time to suffer for Christ, he can't even face the suffer of defamation. What if he had existed in the days of the early apostles when Christians where arrested and fed to lions in gladiator arenas? Those disciple's still prayed for their persecutors.

I don't know whether Kemi Olunloyo deserves whatever she's going through cos we don't know whether she has proof of her claims. One thing i do know is that her punishment shouldn't come from a man who is supposed to preach to her. Having her locked up doesn't prove he's innocent of the allegation.

Some would argue that his silence would have made many people to leave his church. The silence that Jesus and his disciples maintained when they were persecuted is one of the reasons why Christianity is major today. If they had attacked their attackers, Christianity would have been tagged a terrorist religion.

Let's remember how Peter reacted when he cut off the ear of one of those that came to arrest Jesus. Most importantly, let's remember how the man they came to arrest reacted to the situation. He rebuked Peter and went ahead to heal the ear. But Christianity of today is "attack me, I attack you", thanks to the years of prosperity preaching which has turned man away from God and made them love self than others.

You can continue to argue in favour of the pastor, but the Bible will always condemn his actions. God has given you an hint to free you from the shackles of those that have been misleading you. Hundreds of youths and women in Umuoba Anam community, Anambra East local government area of Anambra State yesterday embarked on nude protest. They were protesting against their traditional ruler, Igwe G.A. Ekwealor, who they accused of allegedly supporting the activities of herdsmen in the area.

The protesters who claimed their action was to appease the gods following what they described as debasement of their land by their traditional ruler who allegedly allowing Fulani herdsmen into their community where they had been terrorising farmers.

The monarch, however, denied the allegation, saying that he had no hand in bringing the herdsmen to Umuoba Anam community. Addressing journalists in Awka, Chairman of Anambra East traditional rulers’ council, Igwe Alex Edozieuno, who is the traditional ruler of Mkpunabo Kingdom said that when the matter was brought to the council, it was deliberated upon with Igwe Ekwealor subsequently absolved of any wrong doing.

Igwe Edozieuno said the council also invited elders of the community who condemned the protesters and urged them to appease the gods for their action. He harped on the importance of peace and stability in all the communities in the local government, bearing in mind that it was Governor Willie Obiano’s local government.

Undoubtedly, the use of technology has helped in the effective policing of Lagos State. A case of this was when the car of an editor of the Ovation Magazine was snatched at gun point and RRS drones and GPS tracker were used to recover it.

Lagos state Governor Ambode few days ago presented 4 mobile CCTV Cameras and 4 back up cars to RRS. This is encouraging, and to whom much is given, much is expected.

The Nigeria Police on Wednesday arraigned the National Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria, Amb. (Dr.) Dickson Akoh before an Abuja Federal High Court.

His arraignment is coming 11 days after Akoh was detained at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the FCT Command.

DAILY POST reports that, Akoh was detained on Sunday, 19th March 2017, when he turned himself in, having heard that the Police was looking for him.

All entreaties by well meaning Nigerians for Akoh to be released, proved abortive.

Meanwhile, the Police had earlier sued the National Commandant with a 90-count charge, bordering on extortion of money, wearing of uniform, hoisting of flags, money laundering and running an outlaw organisation, the suit which was first allocated to Justice Gabriel Kolawole.

It was, however, disclosed thereafter, that, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, had transferred the case to Justice J.T. Tsoho’s court.

DAILY POST recalls that, Akoh was first arrested on February 28th, 2017, along 49 others, on the day the National Headquarters of the Corps was launched.

They were detained at the Force Headquarters for 3 days and later released after “some female Journalists protested that, the nursing mothers among the detainees be released to attend to their babies after 3 days.”

Irked by the seemingly violation of their fundamental human rights, former Attorney-General of the Federation, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN), slammed the Police and DSS with a N2bn suit, challenging the arrest, harassment and detention of Akoh and others.

Consequently, Justice Gabriel Kolawole issued a 12-day ultimatum to the Nigeria Police, to advance reasons for such treatment.

The Police has, however, reacted to the ultimatum in a counter affidavit deposed to, on 22nd March 2017; denying harassing the Akoh and 49 others.

At the resumed hearing on Wednesday, the Prosecution Counsel, A.K. Aliyu asked that the 90-count charge be read to the defendant.

Though the Presiding Judge demanded that the count charge be compressed, to enable the court take all while the defendant also take his plea; but Aliyu objected to it.

After reading the count charge for over an hour and with the end not in sight, the court arose for a 20-minute break, to continue with the reading of the remaining count charge.
