Pleep - Yes I am a white woman, and if a woman is attracted to A black man what makes you think she is then attracted to a whole continent? Many black men are damn ugly, same as many white men are damn ugly. And ugly is not just based on physical appearances either. So this doesn't make any sense. I think if people living here cant even feel they can get adequate basic healthcare treatment then how the heck are they going to submit themselves to open surgery like you described. I am sure there are very competent doctors here in Nigeria but the problem is deciphering them from the ones who are not! I have recently heard of two people who went abroad for a second opinion, one of them went straight to A & E as a result. I also know of one death which was a clear case of medical negligence. There is a distinct lack of trust and I have been told many times by many people if I get very ill ... leave the country! Having attended hospital quite a few times for minor issues with my kids I know why. In general there is a lack of customer care and attention in how patients are attended to here. As you sit with the doctor they are usually taking a phone call, addressing someone who has just walked into the room randomly or looking at you with the look of sheer boredom. And yes, I attend one of the very best hospitals here, supposedly. This is not confined to the healthcare sector. It is prevalent everywhere I go and everywhere I find myself a 'customer.' The banks are the worst, eye contact is not even made and they slope off walking very slowly to get whatever paper work. THIS is the issue. The attitude is insipid. And it is real.

Anything from the US potentially has GM ingredients. If you look at the label it may say so, it may not. Only the EU has strict guidelines in GM Food - at the moment! The people of Nigeria - Africa - need to take this seriously because the stores in Lagos frankly are full of SHIT food. Cheap SHIT food that wouldn't meet strict food regulations in other countries. Most products here are full of E numbers. And there is no indication sometimes of exactly what is IN the food made here in Nigeria. Regulation seems weak. So, in essence in 30 years time - perhaps less you will see an abundance of cancers within all age groups as they readily consume all this new fast food - fizzy drinks daily, fries, chicken burgers, even the suya meat and the chicken you see cooking on the street is sometimes ORANGE in colour. Potentially over time even that could be carcinogenic.

Sure they provide for them, financially, but emotion attachment is low. Time spent with them is low and there is a distinct lack of 'connectedness' with their small children.
