My girlfriend has been having serious concerns this week. For two weeks now, her menstruation has been flowing and it's no more funny.

The students of the Delta State University are crying over the 100% increment of the school fees and the inability of the current SUG to act.

How many will drop out ?

A country with quagmire economy like Nigeria, where the average man can hardly afford three square meal a day and yet one man from the Igbo part of Delta State is frustrating students and making comments that students should drop out and hustle first before coming back to school.


Okowa ought to see this. The quota has surged higher with more than 12,000 students admitted last year as against the normal 4000, not counting those that will be placed as direct entry students. And now, more than 15000 admitted this year.

Houses are scarce and the price of commodities are surging everyday in Abraka. Until news of suicides hit the front page, the governor will not react. As a matter of fact, Delsu don't need Egwuyenga, let him go...

If Okowa wants to address this issue, the pocketed SUG should not be invited. An average student from various departments should be invited to air their opinion. Dem nor want Egwuyenga again.

Prof. Andy Egwuyenga became Vice Chancellor after the authoritarian rule of Prof. Victor Peretomode which ended 2019.

His first tenure was marked with school fees increment by 30%. However, a planned protest was foiled by threats of expulsion. He however was viewed by staffs as an ingenious due to his promotion charity and good relationship with staffs.

Following the next increment, the school has made it mandatory to pay above 200,000 for school fees for 100level students. After vigorous payments on acceptance fee, Medicals, dues and some other payments.

The SUG has been reportedly quiet on this. The governor should know that this is bad for his reputation as a governor and something ought to be done.

I have been dating this girl for more than a year and she has been nice to me. But things hasn't been fair to me. She's an orphan, same thing as me.

I am a street boy and we are both in our final year in school. I made some money before she came into my life and then I went broke ever since, i am not blaming her or something but there are some things i can't share here about her.

So she travelled for the holiday for like three months now. She has changed, she told me her cousins are doing well and that their boyfriends' bought cars for them and that she has tried for me.

I lost my mum on Christmas day, still nursing the grief when i got a call today that my dad died yesterday.

I can't even think or eat now. I feel like the entire world is crumbling, i just realised i have no one else in this entire world, not a single soul. So if i die, who would know ?

Who will pay my hospital bills or get bailed when something happened ?

It's not like my dad did all these when he was alive, he spent over 8yrs fighting strokes, but the mere thought that i still had a dad was an inspiration.
