WackyJ1: On Twitter a few days ago, I saw a thread where a few guys claimed that it is so easy to know a promiscuous girl just from her looks and from interacting with her.
One of the guys said, "I laugh when people say you cannot tell that a girl bleeps different guys or is into hook-up business. There are always signs."
I wondered what these signs were myself.
I didn't want to start asking each of the guys individually on the thread, so I decided to come and ask here in the largest collection of Guys wey sabi.
What are the signs you see that immediately tell you that a lady is promiscuous or runs or hook-up?
I believe there are a ton of naive young men on this forum who would benefit from learning this information to know what to look out for in the future.
PS. Girls who want to comment against profiling or bring up exceptions to invalidate the men's contributions here should not bother to comment.
Pansophist, your insights will also be appreciated.
Parachoko: Oil marketers are currently converting some of their trucks to start supplying gas to filling stations in order to dispense Compressed Natural Gas to vehicles that run on gas.
It was gathered on Thursday that about 800 tankers that formerly transported petrol to filling stations, were being converted by marketers to start moving gas to retail outlets.
The marketers also told our correspondent that they were now collocating CNG dispensing pumps in selected filling stations that dispensed Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol.
They stated that the move gained momentum after the halt in PMS subsidy by the Federal Government, following the announcement by President Bola Tinubu, on May 29, 2023, that ‘subsidy is gone’.
The Federal Government had been pushing for the use of CNG by motorists, as against the widespread consumption of PMS. Gas, according to operators, was not only cheaper than subsidised petrol but was cleaner and very abundant in Nigeria.
The National President, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Chinedu Okonkwo, said, “Some of my members have started signing up to dispense gas at their stations, as well as the collocation of gas in their outlets. One of the major independent marketers has given over 500 of his trailers for conversion to transport gas to filling stations.”
He, however, pleaded not to name the owners of the stations, explaining that the dealers would not want to have their names in print at the moment, in order not to expose their businesses.
Explaining further, he said, “There are some new tankers too, over 300 of them have also indicated interest to have CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) trucks. These trucks are to serve filling stations that would be dispensing gas to vehicles.
“What we will do is collocate the gas dispensing plants in a plug-and-play model with existing filling stations. That is the beauty of it and that is why IPMAN is very keen on this project because there is no Local Government or ward in Nigeria today that you won’t see my members.
“We control over 80 per cent of the downstream oil sector. So it is an advantage for us. For if you are to build new gas or CNG stations, it will take a huge cost. But this collocation model has helped to reduce the exposure in terms of building new stations.”
The push for the conversion to gas usage in vehicles further gained traction on Wednesday when the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria met with Tinubu at the State House and promised to provide 100 units of CNG/diesel-powered, 50-seater buses to ease mobility among the most vulnerable citizens.
The Managing Director, North-West Petroleum & Gas Company Limited, Winifred Akpani, who spoke for the group, had revealed at the meeting that the new locally-manufactured buses would cost N100m each and would run on gas.
Meanwhile, the IPMAN president also told our correspondent that marketers were being asked to pay additional amounts for petrol that was not supplied to them before subsidy on the commodity was removed.
He said the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, the sole importer of the commodity, had asked oil marketers to make the payment, adding that the extra cost was between N13m and N14m.
According to him, “The other thing that is of concern to my members is that some of them paid for products over three months ago and have not loaded these products. And when the NNPC changed the cost of PMS recently, it is asking them to bring extra N14m or N13m; that is a problem.
“They (marketers) are saying that the NNPC should provide the products that were paid for before the price was increased. That is the challenge I have now. Some of these marketers were on the verge of loading before the price was increased.”
“But NNPC said everybody has to pay the new price because the product has not entered the trucks of those who paid the old rate. I have pleaded with the Vice President of NNPC to see what the company can do.”
The Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPCL, Mele Kyari, reacted to this during a recent television interview, where he stated that “the immediate adjustment is typical anytime there is a price adjustment, even for other commodities in the market.
“For instance, if you buy tomatoes today and the price changes, a businessman will sell the old stock at the new price. This is the reality of the market and it applies to every commodity and not just petrol.
“It also could have been the other way round, prices could have collapsed downwards and those holding the stock will have to sell at lower prices to arrive at the market condition.”
Kyari insisted that it was “really nothing strange,” adding that “it is a stock management issue and is very typical and no one can do anything about this.”
Nsogbu001: Businesswoman ‘refreshes’ a man’s memory in style after he claimed not to have stolen her money

According to a viral clip, the woman explained to eyewitnesses as to how the man pilf£red money from her drawer while she took a nap in her shop. She alleged that the man had pretended to want to buy something but had stolen her money before waking her up from her nap.
She revealed how she knew the money in the man’s pocket was hers while he expressed surprise at her revelation, stood his ground that he never stole and that the monies were his. It took a brief slap enough to update his ‘ brain’s iOS’ for the suspect to confess that he indeed stole her money while pleading for mercy from her.
money121: The Anambra State Police Command says it has rescued two persons accused of ritual killing by an irate mob in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state from being lynched to death.
A man and a woman were being paraded naked by members of the community as they carried the corpses of the victims they were accused of killing in a wheelbarrow around the area.
A large crowd were seen following and flogging the suspects.
In a trending video circulating on social media, a voice narrated that the suspects allegedly killed three persons with the intention of using them for money rituals, before they were caught by the villagers.
But reacting to the development on Thursday, the Anambra State police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the incident was not connected to ritual killing but a case of murder.
Ikenga said the suspects, who were humiliated and paraded as shown in the video by the angry mob, were erroneously accused of the killing because they were seen at the scene where the murder took place.
He added that security operatives, acting upon information, quickly stormed the area and rescued the man and woman while the deceased were deposited in a morgue.
He said the Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng, while reacting to the incident sued for calm and ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka for a comprehensive investigation.
He said, “The Command operatives by 10 am Wednesday, rescued two victims who were about to be lynched by an angry mob at the Total Junction, Ihiala LGA.
“To set the records straight, it is not a case of ritual killing, but a pure incident of murder. Preliminary information revealed that the two victims, a man and a woman, who were humiliated and paraded as shown in the video by the angry mob were erroneously accused by the mob as they were seen at the scene where the murder took place.
“Also, a suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder while the victims(man and woman) are currently receiving treatment in the hospital. The deceased has been deposited in a morgue. Further developments shall be communicated, please.”

damiloladuke: A man in Roswell, New Mexico, has confessed to murdering his landlord William Blodgett in 2008 after saying he was racked with guilt, according to police.
Roswell Police Department issued a press release about the confession of 37-year-old Tony Ray Peralta in early May, and have since released bodycam footage of police interactions with the suspected murderer.
Sweating and taking puffs from his cigarette, he told them he’s tired of covering it up, tired of living with the lie and tired of being overwhelmed by guilt. He agreed to take the officers to where he buried the body before standing up and volunteering to be cuffed.
“I confess, man. I confess. I don’t want to live life anymore without confessing,” he said while sitting in an interview room at police headquarters.
The uniformed officers and detectives who talked with Peralta peppered him with questions about when the killing happened, how he did it and why. Peralta kept answering that he didn’t know or didn’t remember, acknowledging that he had been drinking “a lot” the day he called 911.
Peralta, 37, was arraigned Tuesday on a charge of first-degree murder but did not attend the hearing. He pleaded not guilty to the charge through his public defender, Ray Conley, who declined to comment after the hearing. Conley has said he will ensure Peralta’s due process is respected as the case moves through court.
Peralta told police he decided to come forward because “his heart hurts” and that he thought about it every day. He told an officer that Blodgett was a good man and that he took his life for no reason while high on methamphetamine.
“I don’t have an excuse,” he told police. “A lot of people have an excuse. I don’t have one.”
Blodgett’s girlfriend and family had not seen him since late December 2008. She told police that Peralta, who was considered a suspect by police early on, allegedly had some sort or argument or fight with Blodgett, who had tried to evict him.
Authorities at the time had talked to Blodgett’s family, friends and neighbors and visited the home the two men shared, which appeared to have been abandoned with personal belongings still in place. Police found no immediate signs of foul play and Blodgett’s vehicle was still there, according to the original missing person report.
Online court records show since 2009, Roswell Police arrested Peralta four different times for non-violent crimes. He is now charged with first-degree murder for killing William Blodgett. The dentures police dug up in Blodgett’s home were used to confirm his identity.

TonyRazor: DSS storms Anambra Assembly, bundles lawmaker-elect into vehicle
Tony Okafor, Awka
Armed men believed to be operatives of Department of State Services( DSS) on Thursday stormed the Anambra State House of Assembly, Awka, made attempt to whisk away the lawmaker-elect for Nnewi North constituency, Mr Onyekachukwu Ike.
The situation, our correspondent gathered caused pandemonium at the legislative Complex for over an hour.
An eyewitness said,"There was panic at the Anambra State House of Assembly as four armed men suspected to be operatives of Directorate of Security Services (DSS) tried to whisk away member-elect for Nnewi North constituency, Mr Onyekachukwu Ike.
"The armed men drove into the Assembly complex in three vehicles and grabbed the member-elect after he participated in a valedictory thanksgiving service for the seventh Assembly.
"They bundled the member-elect into their vehicle and were trying to drive out of the Assembly complex when security personnel quickly blocked and locked the exit gate of the chamber.
Speaking, the Acting Clerk of the Assembly, Mrs Esther Aneto and other senior staff said the suspected DSS operatives did not inform them or even the police personnel before trying to whisk away the lawmaker-elect.
A source said,"One of the suspected DSS operatives explain that they had a court order to arrest the member-elect for Nnewi North constituency.
"It took the intervention of the Speaker, Dr Uche Okafor and the Deputy Governor, Dr Onyeka Ibezim who came to represent the governor at the Valedictory session of the seventh Assembly, before the member-elect was released."
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO)Tochukwu Ikenga confirm the incident, saying the matter had been resolved.
He said, "No cause for alarm, it has been resolved.I think it was DSS that was on that mission, but I think everything has been resolved. I was told that the deputy governor and speaker of the house intervened. So, everything was resolved but I don't know the circumstances surrounding serving him( Ike) invitation.
"Since that place is an institution; with the intervention of the police there and the deputy governor, everything was resolved."

In a recent interview, O.B.O praised the spread and success of Afrobeats while referring to Burna Boy and other well-known musicians as “new cats.”
Glimpsetv: Adekunle Temitope, known widely by his stage name Small Doctor, a Nigerian Fuji and afro-pop recording artist and performer, mentioned that Musician Portable has always been his boy.
Small Doctor then went on to disclose that he once advised Portable to "bodywash" (a term likely used to describe skin lightening or bleaching), but Portable promptly ran away, apparently disagreeing with the suggestion.
Within a mere 30 minutes of the video of Small Doctor's interview going viral, Portable began trending on Twitter, swiftly responding within approximately 20 minutes.
In his humorous response, Portable referred to Small Doctor as someone with a past glory using him to chase clout.
"e ma bora, ka wa ma gba ambassador” “Eyin le n ra cream, Awa lo n fun ni ambassador”. Egbon adugbo, black is beauty."
Portable also revealed that Small Doctor had taken $100 from him and was now using their to seek publicity.
Portable even went as far as claiming that Small Doctor had engaged in excessive body washing to the point where his skin had become burnt.
