@flasher, 2 qualify for a Business visitor, U need to demonstrate and able to prove that U r being invited by a company/manufacturer in the UK. there4, it will be better 2 apply for a Visit Visa, if U dont have a relative or friend in the UK, get a genuine hotel reservation with d following docs: business docs bank statement marriage certificate (if married) family pictures investment docs (shares cert, fixed deposits, etc) property docs and any other docs u think will prove that u can finance ur trip and will return back 2 9ja after ur trip. Q.E.D |

I will implore Nairalanders not 2 jump 2 conclusion concerning these 9ja governors o! Someone might already have information 'bout his phone/text conversation with contractors/bidders/etc including strong evidence of bribery. He then try 2 checkmate by trying 2 fool everybody dat his phone is being cloned, an MTN line 4 dat matter! we r not 2 be fooled! Imagine, someone text a contractor from d Governor's phone and ask him 2 pay certain amount of money into an account, if this has not been a common practice between them, am sure d so called contractor will not be so gullible 2 comply immediately without trying 2 speak wit d Governor on his other lines (a 9ja governor usually has in excess of 10 phone lines!) |

nice one @Ferrari: ABUJA IS A NEW CITY AND ENJOYS THE PRESENCE AND BACKING OF THE FG. most of d posters are not really nailing d nail on d head, d Q is where do you prefer to work or to live? Lagos is surely the best to work for starters and middle class, unless U r a politician and no doubt Abuja is the best to live, thats if U have enough cash, and most importantly have enough business ventures in Lagos, PH, etc. I wish to live in ABJ also, when my business venture has grown well enough that my presence wont be needed as such in Lagos, but before then, NA LAGOS ALL THE WAY. 4get the traffic, etc. With God's blessing U can choose when to move around, thats if U r self employed sha! |

@poster this is an average breakdown of a wedding budget in Lagos of 2day Suit - 40k Gown - 50k (rentage 15k) shoe - 10k Hall/Field - 70k Wedding Cake - 50k Wedding ring - 30k chairs (20 dozens) - 6k tables (15 small ones) - 4k cow - 90k food (for 200) - 80k drinks & water - 40k liquor (moderate) - 20k IV (average for 200) - 40k photographer - 25k video coverage - 25k decoration - 20k + enough miscellaneous expenditure This alone is in excess of 600k and is not a standard wedding yet. My advice, let ur bride's father/family knows ur financial capability as they are the host and not U, U might be planning a low key wedding and they have invited a thousand and one guest already. So, have a round table talk and 'iron' things out. My father-in-law was financially supportive during my wedding to d tune of 2mill, but I still spend in excess of 1.4mill, A word is enough 4 d wise! |

@poster dont let some ppl deceive U, there is no way U can spend just #450k on a white wedding in Nigeria of 2day, miscellaneous expenses alone will amount 2 about 300K. Unless U r planning 2 wed in d village! @all kindly answer this question truthfully: Married: how much did U spend on ur wedding and what year? Unmarried: How much will U wish 2 spend on ur wedding? |
