favor914:Lol nvm |
favor914:boldbrainz is right though. If you slowed down to read the OP post you’ll see that I’m even supportive of the policies BAT has implemented so far even though one can question the pace. Not sure how you’ve taken it so personally lol |
BoldBrainz:So in essence you’re saying the divide on Tinubu among southerners is one of character rather than ideology, because stealing money is more character deficiency than policy lol. It’s an interesting theory but then that begs the question why a significant portion of the core north, who are socialist in general and are also thought to value character (part of Buhari’s popularity in the core north was his perceived honesty hence the nickname Mai Gaskiya) supported Tinubu. Was the religious angle just that strong? |
EmperorCaesar:My statement was very simple. Please try to keep up. Ideologically, Obi and Tinubu have 1000x times more in common than Tinubu does with Buhari. Do you disagree lol? Or you’re only interested in hating an innocent man because e de boost your ego somehow lol |
This post was inspired by Farooq Kperogi's article which you can read in full from the link at the bottom but these are the key bits that stood out to me: One Professor Chris Nwokobia who was a member of the Labour Party/Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council lamented to Arise TV on June 29 that “Tinubu is copying Peter Obi’s planned policies, programmes.” Although it’s delusional to say Tinubu has stolen from Obi’s programs (because Obi didn’t even have a manifesto until the last few weeks of the election) Nwokobia is right that Tinubu is ruling as Obi would have ruled.I like reading Farooq's articles because he gives insights into northern politics that not too many explore and I agree with him sometimes but not today lol. Can you see the framing of the politicians here? Obi is the evil "pro-market" politician, like that is even a bad thing. Tinubu, who is the one implementing these pro-market policies at extreme pace without a soft-landing for the masses, is just an innocent man who is being blackmailed by the evil "World Bank, IMF and racist Western financial institutions" lol. Meanwhile Atiku is a fraudulent liar who even the evil "World Bank, IMF and racist Western financial institutions" don't trust lmao. It's interesting that the APC is an alliance seemingly built on a SW & Core North coalition when ideologically Tinubu and Buhari are completely opposite. Anyone paying attention can see that Tinubu and his cabal view Buhari's administration as a complete failure, as do most people outside the Core North in general. It is no surprise that Tinubu's frustration with the previous regime has meant that he has implemented an outburst of changes with little regard for the masses. The problem that Farooq and many northerners are having is simply one of cognitive dissonance. Buhari and Tinubu are both APC and muslim so they should govern the same way unlike Obi the devil. Like Birdbyrde440 said in his post yesterday "The North Is Socialist" (link below). I've said it before and will say it again. Ideologically, Obi and Tinubu have 1000x more in common than Tinubu does with Buhari. Tinubu clearly believes in economic growth. You can question his character (and I do) but he is far from a socialist. He is a capitalist. If anything the pressure he will face during his time in office will come from the socialist North and not from any World Bank. The same cognitive dissonance Farooq is displaying is similar to the one Chris Nwokobia and many Obidients were displaying when they claimed that Tinubu was copying Obi's policies when in reality both candidates were always likely to move away from Buhari's policies of national poverty. So why does there seem to be a divide between southerners when they are ideologically more similar and why is there a percieved coalition between the SW and the Core North when they seem to be ideologically more different? Maybe someone else can answer. PS: Someone else will also have to answer why Atiku is so hated in the north lol PSS: As much as I despise Wike, maybe he was right about one thing; It is the turn of the south https://www.nairaland.com/7778373/imfs-neoliberal-sadomasochistic-paradise-finally https://www.nairaland.com/7778167/warning-tinubu-should-remember-north mynd44 OAM4j seun nlfpmod Lalasticlala mukina2 Dominique |
Well well well Universal disapproval from everyone Let’s hope it’s fake |
Garfield1 I thought Jonathan is a retired politician? |
nairalanda1:Lol that’s just not true Many Nigerians (even some northerners like Sanusi) criticised PMB’s disgraceful devastation of the economy. In fact many of those who supported Tinubu (I wasn’t one of them) said they did so because he was different to Buhari and would encourage economic growth. Many Nigerians (especially southerners) are capitalist at heart and simply need a striving economy to thrive, regardless of whether their tribesmen occupies the Villa or not. Many people support the removal of subsidy, some just wanted a softer landing. Many people understand the economic illiteracy of Buhari’s dual naira rate policy in the name of “defending the naira”. The damage that policy alone did to this country is still not discussed enough. Foreign investment discouraged, currency round tripping encouraged. It was a disgrace. The issues we are seeing today is as a result of the sharp divide between Buhari and Tinubu’s ideology, even though Tinubu was the one that stupidly put PMB in office. Tinubu is not being patient enough to try and fix things slowly. He must have had huge frustrations with how Buhari led the country hence the outburst of changes lol. If you’re pro-APC, you should be enjoying the ride. You voted for it ❤️ |
Birdbyrde440:Lol next time maybe do your research outside religious sentiments and vote for an actual socialist You rejected others that promised a softer landing with the removal of subsidy so enjoy the results In the words of Wike, who I’m sure you love, “It’s the turn of the south”. The south is capitalist ❤️ |
Birdbyrde440:I keep saying this shit. Ideologically, Peter Obi and Tinubu have 1000x more in common than Tinubu does with Buhari. It’s the redpill of Nigerian politics today. It’s a shame that tribalism among southerners doesn’t allow us to ever have ideological discussions. I was completely against Tinubu before the election and still question his character but if he sticks to his guns on policy and delivers us from the economic hellhole that his failed predecessor put us in I’ll be Obidiently Batified. But he needs to be less erratic and stick to his guns against Northern resistance. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Not holding my breath tbh PS: Sorry I’m a Capitalist. Socialism just makes everybody poor. The problems we’re facing today were caused by Buhari’s economic illiteracy if we’re being honest. Tinubu just didn’t give anyone a soft landing with the changes but the changes are needed. Capitalism creates opportunities. Maybe Wike was right, it is the turn of the south lol. Tinubu should rule like it |
Oblitz:Go to court ![]() |
Inspired by Garfield’s “Most popular politicians from the south south” post, here’s the most popular political leaders in the world, no ojoro ![]() Cc: Garfield1
|
kokorokoman:Lol okay sir ❤️ |
garfield1:You’re Mr. SS apparently. So tell us why you love Wike lol? |
garfield1:If this is what you use to define “popularity” then you should have said so in the OP If you mean “influence” then you’re talking about something else entirely and no one will argue with you |
kokorokoman:Okay he has connect, money and he can rig. We understand. The Rivers result shocked us all because no one expected that level of rigging lol. You’re right there’s no one else corrupt enough to pull it off something like that. But is he popular among the people? Simple question. Maybe carry out a poll for us if you’re there lol |
garfield1:If it happened then someone from Wike’s circle could have leaked it |
The incompetent Buhari keeps confirming his title as The Failure in Chief. History will not be kind |
Fsboperator2:🤣🤣🤣 I knew you would have excuses for your failure 💀 It’s always someone else’s fault abi lol. It’s okay I believe you boo boo ❤️ |
Fsboperator2: wegevv:Oga I already noticed your failure lol. So what happened yesterday? Why you no bump thread? Na so you lazy reach? Your life’s purpose is to hate and you still manage to fail at that purpose lol Life can be cruel sha. Keep doing your thing PS: I knew you wouldn’t fail to disappoint me but I still love you boo boo ❤️ |
Wawu |

FSBoperator:Good boy. I like it Keep going. Every morning. Day 1 of 2720. Simple If you’re successful, someone will give you real work. I’m sure Don’t let down your family and future generations Don’t be a failure like Buhari I believe in you boo boo ❤️ |
Mr Yakubu! Ę ma ń se bi fraudster
|
FSBoperator:Anything just for you boo boo ❤️ Early morning, late morning, doesn’t matter. Just before 12pm sharp, every single day till 2031. Don’t let us down ❤️ |
FSBoperator:My oga don’t let that deter you. You made a promise. Stick to it. Wake up before 12pm everyday and bump the thread. Do it consistently for 8 years without fail. Very simple something. Don’t disgrace your family and your generation by failing to keep your word. I believe in you ❤️ |
FSBoperator:Okay let's see you do it. Every single morning (before 12:00 sharp) till 2031. You better not disgrace yourself by waking up late one day and displaying your laziness to the whole internet. You better not disgrace your family by showing us Buhari-levels of incompetence and not keeping your word. We know you have nothing better to do so you must do as you've promised. Someone might even give you real work if you succeed. Good luck lol UPDATE: Just 2 days after FSBoperator promised to bump this thread every morning till 2031, he disgraced his family and failed to do so, proving to the internet that he is a failure like Buhari. No wonder he no get real work. Na only hatred of innocent men dey him body and him laziness no allow am even do that one well 💀

IconicR:Wait wasn’t it Asiwaju who formed APC and repackaged the incompetent and bigoted Buhari that the country had already rejected numerous times for being an incompetent bigot? He should fix the problems he created with his political ambition. |
vannessa7:See genius analysis from someone that doesn’t know the difference between comma and full stop lol Developer in chief 😂 |
ipobarecriminals:Okay I believe you ❤️ |
ipobarecriminals:Thanks for the advice sir. I'll take it into consideration ❤️ In return, you should also learn to reject failure though. I hear it can be contagious lol PS: In 8 years time, when the north says "it is our turn" again, we must demand better than the failed and bigoted Buhari |
clydecarson:He needs to decide if he's a capitalist or a socialist. Why not open the borders to directly reduce the price of food for the masses instead moving from one corrupted subsidy to another with his 8k palliative? Threading the middle will just lead to a different kind of failure. The increase in government revenue is interesting. Let's see how the different states make use it. If I was Katsina, I'd keep the failed PMB as far away from state affairs as possible lol |
