chigrad: Hi, is it possible to get admission without using an agent? Went through an agent in my previous application, I intend applying myself now. Also if a baby is declared during visa application, is that an automatic visa refusal. It is possible to secure admission without using an agent. I don't even see why you should use an agent in the first place. Declaring a baby isn't an automatic refusal. what's your plan for the baby ? Is the baby accompanying you to Canada? The onus is on you to convince the Visa officer what your plans are. Show the Visa officer your plans on how to take care of the baby while in school. Register the baby in a pre school before applying. Show evidences of additional funding to cater for the baby and you will fine Best wishes |

I wasn't able to get C of O and D of A in my case, I simply used sales receipt, affidavit to back sales, then I added something that looks like a plan of the land by a surveyor, It worked for me. I don't know if it will work in your own case |

Pls kindly give a comprehensive information about landed property.
How to transfer of ownership from brother to brother or father to son or father in-laws to son in-laws etc.
If I have a land of my own, what documents should I pursue that would be useful for Canada traveling.
Any surveyor or experience person should give a valid details.
Like me I have a landed property in Ekiti, I have a land in ogun state My father has a house in Ekiti My elder brother has a house in ekiti My brother has a house in ONDO state
How do you advise to me to make use of this for landed property for travelling, but no documents on them for now
I need your advise or it only landed property in the city that is being used for Canadian travelling.
We need comprehensive lecturers on this, elders in the house, experienced people, surveyor, etc You can use land anywhere as long as you have the necessary documents to back it up. Endeavor to get the deed of agreement or certificate of occupancy. It's like you're from Ekiti State. |

makano: Evening house, am sure we all had a great day.please I wanna ask two quick questions cos am planning of re-firing . 1. For PGD applications, apart from someone having 2:2, what other reasons can one use to convince the VO why he is choosing PGD instead of Masters. (Please for those of you that have gotten ur TRV with PGD, please ur contribution will be appreciated ). 2. I learnt the police report isn't an important document when applying and also Can one use a police certificate done in September last year for an application by March ending cos I spent 25k for the one I did in September last year, ND I don't think I have that much now for police certificate. Please I will appreciate ur contributions. Regards Police Character Certificate is between 4k and 10k. Depends on how good your negotiation skills are. Stop paying 25k, Biko Best wishes |

kobyfresh: Hello everyone!
please, I have a question. I recently submitted a study permit application for a two-year masters program. my admission came with a renewable funding package that will cater for tuition and living expenses. my uncle is sponsoring me and he provided a bank statement of over $100k. the problem is that he didn't indicate how much he will make available for my studies. however, I indicated in my SOP that he will support me with $5K per annum to supplement my scholarship. should I be worried about this omission? Why worry over something you can't change? You've submitted, the best you can do now is hope for the best. Worrying will just give you unnecessary headaches. Hope, on the other hand, will give you strength and something to look forward to, while you wait for a decision. Best wishes. |

ItsJonathan: Do I need to have four year tuition fee ready bro? Hello, If you're self sponsoring, yes, you need to have your 4 year tuition. If you're using a sponsor, you need to have one year tuition ready and convince the visa officer the funds for the remaining 3 years will be available to you from your sponsor. |

Thebushboy1: Good morning Fam!
I would like to confirm if the fee of 57,000 stated for paper route covers biometrics or I have to still pay a different fee. Secondly I learnt that If I am doing Biometrics, I wouldnt need to present passport photographs.
I want to know how much i should hold with me as I am submitting tomorrow. Yes, the 57k covers biometrics. Take two passport photographs along. You will be needing it. Just in case you bring the wrong size of passport photographs, you might need to snap another. There is a place you can do that there. In summary, Take more than 57k along, just in case, and try to get the right passport photographs |

Thanks. Hello, In Uwindsor, you can't continue for more than two terms on probation A decision Is made by faculty of graduate studies at the end of the second term. If you fulfil the requirements on your offer letter, you will get graduate credit for graduate courses. The probation could be because of any of these reasons -Your cousin didn't meet requirement for admission to the department but he has relevant experiences or leadership experiences in his field. -Your cousin is changing from his previous field of study to a new field. Admission Status: Probationary Requirement: Must have a CGPA of at least 75% after two (2) semesters with no failing grades Degree: Master of Applied Science Major: Industrial Systems Engineering Route: Thesis Valid: Spring/Summer 2018 to Winter 2019 Condition(s): None
He is yet to send the official documents in order to receive the "unconditional acceptance" letter and then proceed for visa.
He wants to understand what this probation means and its consequences.
Thanks for your cherished contributions. Congratulations to your Cousin. Your cousin is on the right track. Your cousin must have at least a 75percent CGPA with no failing grades after two semesters. Tunba28: Hello house, I applied for my visa Jan 25 and was refused Feb 12. The following reasons were stated: 1. I'm not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada to pay your tuition fees.
2. I'm not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada to maintain yourself and any family member accompayning you.
3. You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay ticking: - Travel History - Purpose of visit - Current employment situation - Personal assets and financial status
4. Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your : qualifications, previous study and employment, level of establishment in your country and relationship to sponsor.
Please people, how do I go about responding to this? I'll like to re-apply ASAP
NB: My wife applied for open work permit alongside my study permit application as she will like to accompany me. Sorry for the delay. The best advice you can get is not to reapply asap. Just order your GCMS notes. Best wishes. |

Youngblood28: Goodday pals, Please I have a quick question. I have my TRV already but my program is for fall 2018. I wish to travel immediately, I don’t have a problem with where to stay. I hope I won’t be denied entry because of the length of time before my program commences? Just to add to what Jnyuwa02 has said, make sure you have a believable story to tell the Border officer on why you want to resume early You must also be able to show proof of enough fund for your living expenses before school starts and also note you can not work until school starts. Since your start date is 7 months away, budget like extra 6k dolls or more. The onus is on the Border Officer to either let you in or send you back. The worst that will happen is, you waste the ticket fee. I would actually love to see you try. Best wishes |

Kinfinity007: Greetings to everybody in the house. I want to know the possibility of getting a TRV with a sponsor who is not a member of your family, not even a relative? Anything is possible Bro. It all boils down to how you package your application. Yes, it's always advisable to use a sponsor that is family as it makes proof of funds more credible and Reliable. But from past experiences on this forum, some people have been approved with a non-related sponsor. I must admit, they are very very very few in number. The onus is on you to prove, why the person will want to spend so much on you considering the cost of Canadian education is no child's play, and considering the economic situation of Nigeria, Also, you must prove the persons family and dependents are well taken care of. As nobody will pick outsiders over family in reality. Also, do well to pay your tuition and get your living cost transferred to your personal account to show commitment. If there is anything I've learnt in this visa application, it's that nothing is impossible. Just do things right and pray. |

shaddy1k: Great thank you very much Frankrobben1 and Justwise for the answer and feedback. Thanks Frank, I now understand the CAIPS now. Please with your question, I was intending to say those monies were gotten from some other side business such as part time teaching standardized test or something. Also, please did you mean submitting their birth certs and stating that they depend on me and because of that I will have to come back will make up for the ties? Secondly, with the bank statement too, please will changing the sponser altogether in the next application raise any concern? Also with my case of travel history, will stating that I have concentrated only on my studies suffice? Thank you very much Sir. You can always change sponsor The important thing is to convince the Visa officer your sponsor is genuine, credible, reliable and also financially capable. Travel history is not really a problem. Not having prior travel experience is not a big deal. Focus on packaging all other aspects of your application well and you will be fine. Most people I know, got their TRV without any prior travelling and to the best of my knowledge, no one has ever been denied just for travel history. Best wishes. |

In my own opinion, you won't be allowed at the point of entry. I wouldn't even want to go that early considering the cost. You can not use your study permit to work till school resumes also. 2 months to acclimatize with the weather or environment is not good enough reason |

You won't get the Canadian dollar at 286 naira to a dollar. it will probably exchange for 300 naira or more in most banks. PayBoyXclusives: Please I need an information on this, I applied into one of the universities in Ontario CA, paid my application fee and I got an admission, they asked me to pay 1000CAD when submitting my acceptance form via email before proceeding to apply for my study permit visa, I already paid the $1000 CAD, submitted my acceptance letter and now all my documents are set to be submitted to the embassy for my visa but I want to know if the $1000 CAD I paid is part of my tuition fees and if I will pay my school fees when I arrive Canada?
School fees is about $15,000 CAD for 4 month term. Am I paying that money when I arrive Canada or am I paying another fee here after paying the $1000 CAD. Although am suppose to submit my documents for visa on 20th of February according to the embassy deadline because my resumption is May 2018.
Please Note: I am a Nigerian but I am not applying and submitting in Nigeria for my visa What's your status in your country of application? if you're in the country as a tourist or visitor, kindly return to Nigeria to apply. Paying for your tuition before submitting your visa application is not mandatory but it shows commitment. I would advise you make the payment if possible. Hello, If you can explain in your SOP reason why you're going for a second masters, kindly do and state you have a masters already. In my friends case, he had a masters, but he wasn't qualified for admission into a PhD programme. so he was admitted for a masters programme, with the opportunity of completing his PhD programme in two years after going through the second masters. He couldn't convince the Visa officers in his first application, so he left it out in his second application that he had a masters already. My advice is that you find a way to convince them on the need for a second masters. Best wishes |

Royalty56: Hello Everyone!! First and foremost I want to appreciate everyone for their contributions and response to people's questions.. It is awesome to see people going through the stress of typing long and detailed replies to questions. God bless you all.
I have couple of questions to ask and I'd appreciate every contribution I can get.
I'm a 26years old Petroleum Engineering graduate, currently serving and due to pass out April this year. I'm currently applying for jobs so as to have something to do after service and also source of letter of employment.
I intend to go for my masters in Canada next year (2019). I want to study Sustainable and Renewable Energy for my second degree.
This is my present scenario... *I'm to seat for IELTS April this year.
*I already have a valid international passport that is not expiring anytime soon
*My dad will stand as my sponsor with over #18milion statement of account
Now my questions are 1. What are my chances of getting a student visa, considering the following.. a. My first degree is in Petroleum Engineering(CGPA of 4.02) and my intended second degree is Sustainable and Renewable Energy
b. My home ties is just family (my parents and siblings)
c. My little/no work experience, I graduated December 2016, served 2017-2018 (April)
2. What can I do to boost my chances of securing a visa?
3. What other documents do I need to gather to aid my cause?
4. What else can I use as home ties?
Please I went through most of the previous threads, it was really helpful but I need more info regarding my particular case.. Thanks and God bless us all! Hello, No one knows the chances of getting a TRV approval. IELTS is not a requirement for admission into Canadian Universities. My advise to you is to focus on securing admission first, when you have the acceptance letter from your school, you can make plans on VISA. Best wishes |

lonelyhrt: Hi fam greetings and happy Valentine's day
Am here to seek you all advice
I graduated with a very low Bsc 3rd class, last year i applied for undergraduate admission plans was to switch from the undergraduate science program to Pharmacy(Pharm D) after 2years
So I got admission to study Undergraduate chemistry then applied for student visa in my Sop i wrote how i like chemistry as a pure science and how i want to go back to it for undergraduate studies as it has been a desired program from childhood I never stated I intend using the program to move to Pharm D.
Now my visa was denied the V.O stated why do i want to go for another bachelors degree when I already have one also with work experience that I should explain and re-apply.
So I didn't since then i was so heart broken being that's my first visa application. Now I just applied to a school undergraduate studies and got Scholarship of $7,500 out of $15,700 tuition
Do you think this time if I apply also stating that I will be switching to Pharmacy do you think there might be possibility with the visa issuance??
Sorry for the long stories Hello, The issue is, there is no career progression in going for another undergraduate degree. CIC expects a bachelor degree holder to go for a post graduate study. What I will advise, what are the possibilities of getting a PGD admission? Also, Do you have any related work experience ? Let me also say this, if there is a way you can apply without declaring you have an undergraduate degree already, Go ahead with it. A friend of mine with a masters degree, applied for another masters degree, he was denied. He reapplied without declaring his masters degree in second application, he got his TRV. Your own case might be different as I believe they must have stored your details, which includes having a bachelor degree. If you choose to take this route, no certainty, I must say. |
