Hello everyone, I'm new to this thread,so Please pardon my ignorance, I'm a pharmacy graduate, about to go for service and I want to go for masters in pharmacology by late next year.Although I've made research about some schools online, I would like to ask if it is preferable to process it myself or go through an agent, I would also like to know if I might be able to get admitted with a cumulative GPA of 4.5 and the last two years with 4.68 and 4.26 respectively. And also can I apply to more than one university? And how early should I start the applications.

It's better you go through the process yourself. Its not rocket science. It takes time but if you do it well, it will be time well spent.

Your cgpa seems high so also is admission very competitive. With a good or well written statement of purpose and good referee's report, you should be fine. A good work experience will also aid your application

Some schools consider the last two years of study while others use the whole years of study.

No time is too early to start. Once your chosen schools open the application portal, apply as soon as possible and yes, you can apply to more than one school. But i would suggest you make it a blend of high ranking schools, middle ranking and low ranking, to increase your chances.

Why do you want to take the English test, most universities in Canada offer a waiver to applicants from Nigeria.

Confirm the requirements of the school before you take the test and i dont think they use ielts. Most schools only accept TOEFL.

Or just go and pick your passport in the application centre in Abuja, Nigeria.

If its more than a 6 months study programme and you were not invited for medicals, Its a denial.

For the TRV for Study Permit to a college, I have my University transcripts from 2014. It is an original copy signed and stamped by the then Registrar. Is it permissible for me to send it or must it be a recent copy?

If the transcript is for TRV application, the 2014 copy will work. The signed and stamped copy is an unofficial copy of your transcript.

If an official transcript was requested by the college, 2014 won't work. As its an unofficial copy. Official copy is strictly sent by your university to the college.

The funding includes tuition award($36k+) which covers the tuition fee for international stdnts for 8terms and a financial support of $17500 annually

From recent experience on this trend, people with full funding are stil required to show good financial standing. That said, i will suggest you use your statement of account with a good sum or get a sponsor with a good inflow and outflow in his account.

In my own case, my funding covers only the tuition so i only showed funding for living expenses which was not in my account.

I initially submitted a screenshot of the email correspondence with me and the branch manager plus a screenshot of my account when I applied on 20th March via paper route and I just got my Canadian bank attestation letter with the statement of account couriered to me today.

i submitted the document without making a photocopy. I didn't have the UMI. The second guy that answered my call asked for my details like passport number name date of test and all.

He sent the document to my mail 5mins after the call. i did not pay.

We used both used thesame agent and we both have little amount in our account so our agent used his company account as our third party sponsor

Now my question is can the embassy find out me and my friend used thesame sponsor ( although I submitted my application yesterday and my friend submitted today)

And if they find out can we be refused?

I am not a visa officer, but let me break something down for you.

Your same agent, must have used that same company account for some other applicants, even if this worked in the past, it can not keep working.


Also, a company needs a convincing reason to want to sponsor you. You should have looked for a suitable person who can stand in as a sponsor or just go as a self sponsored student if youre buoyant enough.

like i said, i am not a visa officer, so just hope for the best. The deed has been done. Nothing you do now, will change the outcome.

Hi brother,

Just to cheer you up and raise your spirit, 10 is a very small number. I contacted more than 50 professors in different schools when i was looking for a supervisor, i was able to get offer from 30 percent of them but no funding. But with a little perseverance, I got the perfect offer.

widen your search and Ensure you are making the right approach with those professors and you will get your supervisor. Read page 0 of part 13 for more help.

Let the new statement of account cover both the old statement of account timeline with an extension to this moment.

But bros, those guys dont just accuse people anyhow. You need to think about the application you submitted in January, is there anything suspicious about your account or your sponsor's?

If there is, address it with evidence and explanation.

But if indeed, you committed an act, Just move on and dont bother complicating the issue.

Good day house, I have been a silent but ardent follower of developments on this thread, and the knowledge acquired so far has guided me all through my application for visa with very minimum assistance.

Sadly today I got a mail from CIC Accra regarding my student visa that it has been determined that my "Purported GTB Bank Statement" of Account has been determined to be fraudulent and I have just seven days within which to reply or be banned for a minimum of 5years.

N/B I submitted the Statement of Account of my father and mine. Both were sourced from the Bank. Right now am confused and don't know how to reply.

If you did not commit any fraudulent act with the statement of account, Kindly show proof by reprinting a new statement of account with a letter from the bank stating you're the sole signatory and your account has been satisfactorily operated.

i am about to submit my application, my sponsor is my dad and the balance of all his bank statements put together is about 500k

he has invested in treasury bills which would be liquidated in june 2018 worth about 4.5m, he has contribution with his cooperative society worth about 4.4m, he has printed his pension statement with 7.8m though hes just in his 50's and not due for retirement yet, he has also given me his dorm account statement of 7.6k dollars.

his cooperative society has issued a letter and i have the treasury bills certificate, How do i explain all of this so i do not end up being slammed with insufficient funds and do you think my funds are enough

N.B tuition is 32k for the whole program, first year is 17k and i have paid 6k as deposit, my dad has 3 dependents and they are all in school

It is not compulsory to have a supervisor. Some schools give out admission without it. You just need to read the page of the department you're applying to, and look out for admission requirements.

Just a Deed of Assignment with no valuation or any plan, is dead on arrival to show ties. C of O is a government issued license on land and the most reliable of them all. Deed of Assignment is easy and just an agreement between seller and buyer and witness and lawyer drafting, then sworn before a court magistrate or commissioner of oath. Can be done in a day!!

Ps: I know someone trying to do valuation currently on three lands and the cost is 150k for the valuation. I think she is getting a deal even with this cost. Can be spendy, but valuation by a license quantity surveyor adds credibility that you indeed own a land.

Deed of agreement takes a very long time. The document is signed by the Seller, buyer, witness and a judge.

Certificate of Occupancy is expensive and it takes a very long time too.

You can notarise a document by taking it to a notary person ( some lawyers are notary person, not all lawyers are notary perrson) or a notary public (court).

Different schools have different policy.

Some request for the official transcript from the onset while others request for the official transcript after you have gained admission.

you need to understand what is written on the school page.

Dont take unnecessary risk. Simply go to your school, request for your official transcript and let them send it through courier to the school youre applying to.

You will pay for the courier service and the transcript request.

But it will be money well spent, instead of just sending a copy that was given to you by the school. There is a difference between student copy and official copy of the transcript.

Your prospective school explicitly asked for the later. Kindly request for it.

Directly sent from the issuing institution is what makes transcripts official, not the stamp on them which some people can falsify. Even one sent by you in a sealed envelope from your school, in many schools, is often rejected. Postage on envelope has to bear the name of the city your school is located and meet to other official parameters.

Ps: if you are just applying, they will take an unofficial transcript you upload to them online. However, after admission is granted, to validate the admission, they need official transcript directly from your school sent through snail mail.

Depends on who attends to you and how well you can negotiate, they might charge a token to do that or do it totally free of charge

windsor is 3 terms a year.
