If I understand the question correctly, you will merge all the documents that you upload into each section and then upload that single file
For the proof of funds, I want to upload the RA letter and Statement of account, how do I do this?

Where does the additional 20k come from? Was this obvious to the VO?

In your next application, I'd suggest you add a table showing a summary of your tuition & living expenses as well as your sources of funds. Each line item would have a description.

Sorry about your denial, but you will be able to fix this.

In your next application, assume that the VO is lazy. Make everything crisp and abundantly clear.
Thanks boss. How long before they send my passport back to nigeria?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by WEIRDPC(m): 4:11am On Nov 08, 2017
thesoj:
Yep. To the VO, the info on your CIC form is a very important summary of your application. If your CIC form showed no inkling of your sponsorship, and your admission letter mentioned nothing of your funding, then it wouldn't be surprising for the VO's eyes to have glazed over the funding letter.

You need to make the VO's job as easy as possible. Put the most strategic information in the most important places.

Also, what did you write in the "Funds available for your stay" box?
I wrote 62k cad. I assumed the 12 mil was worth 42k
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by WEIRDPC(m):
thesoj:
What did you fill as the sponsor in the CIC form? If you wrote any other thing than "scholarship" or "research assistantship" (or something making it 100% obvious that you are fully funded) then the VO will not know to look for your funding letter.

Was your funding amount (exact numbers) and length clearly stated in your admission letter?

Contrary to what others have said, a research assistantship is treated as a scholarship for funding purposes. Several applicants in the past have gotten their TRV with N2m-N4m in their accounts given that they had full funding (something like N5m in an account would be best tho). VOs treat full funding the same, whether it be via a traditional scholarship or full research assistantship.

If you had full funding, there is zero reason to pay your fees beforehand. You need to provide significant clarity to the VO about your funding.

Please answer the above questions about what you filled in the forms and the amount and length of your funding as stated on the school documents you submitted to the VO.

@osemigho your help is needed here.
Thanks.
I stated my uncle and mum as sponsor in the cic form.

My tuition wasn't stated in the admission letter .

An additional letter was provided for my RA. it wasn't stated on my admission letter.

I provided an additional document that stated the fee information for my studies. This letter was attached with my admission letter

what kind of document from the prospective supervisor? Kindly explain

Wrong. His mum's account not enough especially if she has other dependents. What school is 6 million enough at? It's not a scholarship, it TA work study. I don't know what Osemigbo said, please enlighten instead of sending on an empty goose chase.
About this, I only have one kid bro that is still dependent. The rest are married. I explained to the VO.

Sorry about the delay, the issue of your sponsor was a bit complicated, your tuition is already taken care of with the RA, you should have emphasized that and just add a letter of support from your mum that will take care of you accommodation and maintenance. It is normal for a mother to commit bulk of her gratuity to sponsor her child to study abroad. sometimes when things are complex and not very clear, they take it that their is no real sponsor. repackage immediately, thank God they did not hold on to your application for long.
Thanks bro. Very helpful

That is right, it is a job. Mom's account was not sufficient and uncle's at 250 plus million kind of sounds unreal. Why mom's sponsorship if uncle has so much is what might be going through the VO's mind. Just a thought.
My uncles account balance wasn't 250mil. The 257 and 251 was just inflow and outflow. He is a businessman and the business involves buying and selling.

Thanks. point noted

Bro, Research assistant/teaching assistant is not a scholarship is a job. I will advice you when reapplying ignore the funding and concentrate on your sponsor. Please try and tackle the purpose of visit very important. Insufficient funds is not a problem, you will be fine when you ignore the funding and use your uncle and your mom as sponsor.
It will surely end in praise.
Thanks bro

Just your mum's account was enough. your uncle shoudn't be the main sponsor because he was having a huge inflow/outflow. read osemigho's post to understand better.
they gave you the scholarship already, you shouldn't make the financing aspect that complex. itz well bro..re-strategize, repackage nd refire.
Thanks..

I was trying to be on the safe side. Because I noticed people with funds were denied before I put in my application. I wanted to create an impression I could pay my fee without the funds

When filling the form who did you put as sponsor, explain how you filled the tuition, boarding and other. Did the bank statement include reference letter also.
No reference letter in the bank statements,

My tuition was 7k per semester so I fill 7000,

I left room and board empty. I didn't understand it

i filled my mum and uncle as sponsor in the others column.

NB: there was letter of support and notarized affidavit for both sponsor

Depends on what kind of scholarship it is. Let us try and differentiate scholarship from funding from TA and work study programs. If it's a scholarship with no work stipulations, you should be fine usually.
I guess you have a point. It's a research assistantship.

Now CIC is becoming more annoying cry
Processing time now 22weeks
The 22 weeks is the time used in processing 80 percent of most recent Visa application. Be an optimist, and believe you will be among the 20 percent that will have lesser processing time. Positive Vibes only...

Masters in Toxicology, pharmaceutical science or Biochemistry
These are some steps and tips that can help to get a supervisor. More can be gotten if you read this thread well.

*Choose your Course Title

The world is filled with amazing opportunities; it is imperative for you to know what exactly you are looking for. Knowing the title of the course and your proposed area of specialization is the first point of call. The next move will be to embark on the look-out for where you can get what you want.

***Contact your potential supervisors

Make conclusions about the research topic you want based on the information you find from the research you did above, or at least know what part you are interested in and the recent developments going on in that part as regards to your potential supervisor's research interest. Pay a visit to the departmental website of your chosen course, look for lecturers that are spearheading research works in your area of interest. There is usually a link on university websites that show you where to get a supervisor for your graduate courses. Address the SOP to the selected supervisors and send it to their respective email addresses; you can possibly attach some regular documents such as your transcript and resume. If you don’t get a response after five working days, you can attempt sending them a reminder.

This is a very important part of the application process because for the majority of universities in Canada securing a supervisor is almost tantamount to gaining admission. It is always good to get the consent of a supervisor before going ahead with the payment of the application fee and filling of forms on the online portal.

You have a good cgpa. Just back it up with a good letter of intent or SOP.

All the best

Hello everyone

I have been trying to get admission for Masters program in Canadian universities for long now. I graduated with CGPA of 4.38. Its been a struggle trying to get a research supervisor. I've written a couple of mails to a various lecturers and I keep getting negative response. Pls anyone with ideas of schools that have accepting faculty listing and a way to draft a message to them.
What program are you going for and what course did you study as your first degree?

Thanks for your response

I studied Agricultural Economics B.sc, trying to get admission for a masters degree in Agricultural Economics. It's been tough for me.
When you are applying to schools, don't just apply to high ranking schools. Make it a blend of high ranking, middle ranking and low ranking schools. From my personal experience, easiest way of securing admission in Canada is by getting a supervisor. You have a nice CGPA, with a good statement of purpose, I'm sure you will see Professors willing to supervise your work. Also, try to apply like 6 months or more before your planned resumption date. Admission is very competitive... But with God and well packaged application, you will get admitted.

Austinepine Abestine Maziude Jnywa can say more on this as I am still a novice
