In countries where the phone account is also used to transfer credit, credits can be transferred out of your account.

IMPERSONATION
By cloning your phone people can send text messages (for example to your contact list) pretending to be you. In this circumstance, recipients are more likely to open and click links thereby included.

IDENTITY THEFT
By cloning your phone, hackers are capable to receive text messages originally sent to you. For example text messages including pin and authentication codes, generally used by third party services (on-line services, banking, etc.)
