Hahaha! Technocrat! just like how you brought Ministry of Finance into a issue (very) far from it, right?
keep displaying your ego here..lol! Me na shoe-maker o...
Even our so called Constitution is a fraud, fused by some with interior motives...
Keep pretending like you were born yesterday ok.
If really our Constitution gives every regions equal rights, then why are some regions agitating for fiscal federalism, while a particular region does not want restructuring?
So much noise, so little sense. You asked what Ministry of Finance got to do with this huh Are you for real? huh
Do yourself good by getting the law establishing NDDC, educate yourself, its available FREE on the internet.
Go check the list again and find out each member core competencies are.
And you know what, your myopic and illiterate view doesn't matter at all.
Keep ranting for all you can.
I got job to do. I'm done with unserious folks like you. I'll ignore you henceforth.

What has Ministry of Finance got to do with our (or my) points? NDDC is a parastatal established by law to proffer a sustainable solution to a precise region.
So whose interests you think those 3 members will protect? Moreover, what makes us think: "as long as it's in our Constitution it is right?"
The same constitution that is raped from all corners to favour a particular section of this country!
Perhaps, because I kicked against outsider being in the board makes me not knowledgeable about Government? Lol!
Why it's even called NDDC at first place? I think they should renamed it something else...
it's like telling someone: you are free, but still asking him/her to come back later.
I'm done with you. Go and educate yourself on how government works.
I am waiting for reasonable people to complain from the Niger Delta.
Some things may not appear sensible to you but they are in fact necessary.
I am a technocrat, but I think Government Studies should be made compulsory in schools.

a typical talk from whose region benefits more from other regions than theirs! "take your case to National Assembly"! As if we are not in Nigeria!
My bro, with all respect, I don't think such laws were done for the sole aim of checks and balances! They were done, so, some people somewhere else, with influence, can tap-in. That's how average northerners think ( to dominate ).....
Which region has benefitted from NDDC outside the Oil producing states? Please tell.
Again I'll advice you to stop the stereotype. What basis do you have to say how Northerners think? Let me ask you, how do Southerners think? huh
Let me remind you too that there are only 3 Northerners in the 19 members board, so you think 3 will decide over 16? They are not even Chairmen, Secretary or something, just members. Did you also notice that there are members from Ministry of Finance and Environment who can come from ANY region of Nigeria?
This has been the norm for years, your outburst is completely misplaced and a pointer to the fact that you don't understand how government works. Have you heard any body cry foul from NDDC or the ND groups? Of course not, only from internet fiddlers.
Finally, what you should be concerned about is how to hold the NDDC accountable for the funds it get to bring about the required development that really affects and matters to you, not this noise about who and who is on the board.

And you think you are wise... Read comments upon comments of people applauding the senate for apparently not approving the list because of the northerners in it... Whereas they were actually approved.... I think you also can't comprehend properly...

Continue insulting in a faceless forum like this it shows your moral decadence.. My opinion whether you agree or not is veritable.
Yet again you display outright ignorance and mere stvpidity.
Comment upon comments from who? Ignoramus like you?
Did the senate reject the entire list? Did they reject the Non- Niger Deltans on that list?
The three rejected where from Oil producing state, and their rejection is based on other issues other than where they come from and for which the senate hold no duty to tell the public.

That's bull***t! that is how we keep seeing people from outside ND working in NDDC, all because one stu*p*d outsider is/are among the head!
They should revoked the part of our Constitution that gives right to such! Checks and Balances can be done in another way.....
this is the same reason why you will find more outsiders in an agency/company that solely makes its earnings from ND than those who owned it!
Take your grievances to the National Assembly.
By the way, how many non NDs are in the board. This has been since the formaton of the NDDC, so actually your fuming is unfounded and unnecessary.

I can see that there are northern representatives on the board of nddc. My question is this: there's North East Development Commission which has startwd dishing out over inflated contracts to cronies like atiku etc. How many southerners(if any) is in that board?
Since you asked, let me answer you. The law establishing NEDC, just like NNDC and other related agencies require board members who will comprise a few people from outside the zone that the commission is meant to cater for as observers and for balancing.
That said, you don't come to public fora and make unsubstantiated claims. Which inflated contract was given to Atiku or 'cronies' . its people like you that make us think the social media bill will in fact be necessary.

Of course. Every Niger-Deltan cannot be members of the NDDC board. The President reserves the right to appoint people s/he wants from the Niger - Delta. But aside the 1 or 2 members required by law from non-oil producing areas, all the board members must be from one of the Nine(9) States which make up the oil - oil producing areas of the Niger - Delta.
Mind you, it is called Niger - Delta Development cooperation you hear? And it basically concerns the Niger-Delta specially.
I think I've tried in educating you.
Hahahah educate who? huh

You don't get. The ones from other non oil producing States you're talking about are required by the law establishing NDDC. Mind you, those ones are just there to fulfil the Constitutional requirement as non-oil producing areas supervisors. The ones the Senate rejected are supposed to be there in capacities as board members representing oil - producing areas across the Niger - Delta. Hope you understand now.
Please stop! Because you are from ND doesn't mean you have to be in NNDC. There are other criterion that the Senate has to look at. I think I'd been simple and clear enough.

Another confused idiotic Mumu zombie from one brown roof village in afonja republic commenting on matters relating to Edo state,

I will pay for your flight ticket to and fro to Come down to Edo state and travel across at least 12 different towns/villages in the three Senatorial regions in Edo state and carry out an independent poll to know who people voted for or will people still vote for.

Across Edo state State, in villages, towns and local government areas majority of great Edolites are sayng "Pastor Ize Iyamu is our Governor elect while Obaseki is a Caretaker Committee Governor that will be sent packing by the courts like Osunbor in 2007" only confused ignorant and bribe infested APC zombie like you still think Obaseki won the elction or INEC annouced the authentic results.

Pastor Ize Iyamu won Oredo Local Government which is the biggest local Government in Edo State in terms of Voters populations as against the fake and contradicting results and figures that INEC announce in favour of APC ---- Quote me me again and again

The votes must be recounted in the court and compared with the fake results and figures that INEC announced.

Oshiomole and his lawyers are now trying to seek an Injunction this week restraining the tribunal from granting PDP request asking for the votes to be recounted and compared to the fake and contradictory results and figures that INEC announced in Favour of the APC

PDP and Pastor Ize Iyamu are not asking the tribunal to cancel the election but simply asking the tribunal to order for the recount of ballot papers in Court and compare it with the fake and contradicting results that INEC announced just like the tribunal did in 2007 in the case between Oshiomole vs Osunbor

Rubbish. Cry like a river, wial like Marley, it won't change the fact that PDP was beaten squarely at the pools.
Which opinion pool have you conducted?
You go round PDP supporters and tag them 'generality of Edolites' what insult!

A combination of increased dollar rate and the import levy should increase the price of foreign rice and make local production attractive. If the borders aren't opened the local farmer will increase price astronomically and above foreign the alternative. For me, the timing of the move.

let us do this maths:

given that his current age is X years.

& that the Expected age in years to be freed from jail is Y years

hmm, 70 + X = Y ?

Let X = 57 years

therefore, 70 + 57 = 127 years

he may finish serving his jail terms at the age of 127 years respectively!

note; If not run concurrently!
WRONG!

He sentenced to 7 years on 10 counts to run concurrently, so he will spend 7 years in jail.

in the prison 10 months = 1 year
So he will only have to spend 5 years and some months in jail.
