We must not 4get the whole Nigeria once depend on Northern Nigeria for most of its electricity. Before the installation of gas turbines in Nigeria, the whole country from south to north depend on Kanji dam for electricity for so many years. We didnt hear of sabotage of d dam. Even today, abt 30% of Nigeria power is still from d North. Should Mabila dam in Taraba state be completed say in 2020 with 3000MW, d contribution of nothern Nigeria to power supply will be atleast 50%.

Kanji Dam was build in 1968 and it was supplying 800MW. The oldest Gas turbine build in Nigeria was Ughelli power station build in 1966 to supply 72MW. Before the year 2000, more than 50% of power source in Nigeria were from the North. Mainly from kanji and Jebba. During this period there were various gas plants which were not fully operational.

Many ships dont agree to use warri and portharcourt sea port because of these saboteurs. This is because of high level kidnapping and sea pirates in d region. Most of the ships comming to Nigeria find it difficult to get insurance cover once thier destination is warri or portharcourt. This have futher slow the economy of Niger delta.

it is time our elders, traditional rulers come out bold to condemn d actions of this few saboteurs. i see no wisdom in sabotage and destruction of our ecosystem. I agree that if most of the oil was located in d North, South West or South East there will be no Nigeria by now. I know dat for a fact. But God in his wisdom decided to place d oil among the minority south south. If not the top three tribe Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba would have trample on us mercillessly . Yes I know dat.

But what we have today is d reality. Most of The oil and gas is in our land. For about 50 years now, our oil have been feeding Nigeria. But we must know that Oil is not limitless. it is a non renewable resources. Which means it will finish. The question is how will our children survive in Niger Delta when d oil finish? Which land will they depend on? Is it d land further polluted by dis greedy idiots called millitants? It is time we in d Niger Delta start making strategic agitation.

Ok suite ur sef. I wonder how the situation in ND ia different from the situation in the North,West and Eeast. Or are these zones mpre developed than ND? Do they have more light than ND. Rather than channel ur frustrations to our politicians, they are blowing up pipelines. If the economy collapses, there guys have stollen enough for their next generations. Its me ans you that will cry and suffer. I aske what achievement have the blowing of pipeline benefitted u as an individual. Those they it has benefitted, where are there investments in ND? You can keep deluding your self,.....i rest my case!

Ayiri's petrol station were the only ones selling 85 in Warri for a while. One of their investment paying off...Also Ayiri provides a house boat that take students to school from Warri everyday...Not all of them will pay off or to the extent we want but we appreciate the little they have done. It was better than when they had nothing and could do nothing.
Also when the North, East and West start carrying the burden of feeding everyone region for 50years then they can start talking and blowing up pipelines.
I don't care about what happens anywhere, I care about my people that has fed this nation for 50 plus years and we have nothing to show for it. Nobody fed us for that long,we always contributed our fair share. This is why we cannot be compared to the other regions...

That makes no sense at all...When the US got her independence from the UK, they didn't elect to go with Monarchy....Nigeria got its independence from the UK we also practice pseudo federalism....
A fight for independence will bring to the forefront new warlord. Both intellectual and otherwise. The battle in front of us made the warlords we have, we are not gonna blow up pipelines with books.
At least our constitution is not gonna be drafted by military leaders. So we have an edge on Nigeria already.
Also I am not from Tompolo and Asari's province and in event of a ND Republic they won't represent me. Even if their people decide they should be represented by Tompolo who are you to act like you know them and what is best for them?
Have you done 0.001% of what Tompolo has done for his pple for your immediate family? Would you put your life on the line for them? Will you go to war and face hot lead for your people?
Those who you and your people are quick to tag as warlords have done this and more for their people. Sometimes against my own people, I understand all is fair in war. I'm not saying all these suddenly make them any less a thief, or are they worthy of the name leaders. But they have been willing to sacrifice their lives for us to live. How many people can you point to from your tribe that has done this?
