HopeAtHand:They have a contact me page on their website. So I will message them with a link to this page...Lol You're totally spot on on all you've said. They have no idea how we look at them. At least Hausa/Fulani do not drag jobs with us everywhere... Some of them even go dey form, "ondo na naija delta" make all of them pack go work for the installations for Ondo and leave our lands for us.... |
kayfra:Abeg face front. Partly indeed, face the part that's not from ND please. Every country has their differences, we have lived among one another longer than we have been in Nigeria. And for some weird reason you want me to believe you that we will hand out country over to our warlords. Like you know them more than we do. Like you're the one silently rebelling against them now and fighting for accountable leadership? Like I have said in another thread, you don't guys don't care for us, and subtly threaten us that we will never have it as good as we have it now in Naija if we decided to leave. Keep your passive aggressive threats, I have lived with these people longer than Nigeria. We were getting along fine before colonialism and we will figure it out if and when we decide to leave the injustice of a country... |
HopeAtHand:Lol....It's really so annoying, I have tried to hold back for so long. These same folks even use tribalism to corner most of the Coporate HQ jobs. If you've know someone that has been a senior staff at these IOC they will tell you. They will block promotion of our people when it starts getting to Supretendent positions and other top ones. I think I will contact the NDA to make a fresh list and include removing their people from top positions in our region. Because that's where the tribalism and allocation of slots to Ooni and co starts from... |
blazer234:Lmao. Oh my God you just made my day. Did you remember we were suppose to have flying cars by 2012 or so? Did you remember how long ago we were suppose to have cars that run on water solely? I can go on and on. Do you even have an idea how the science of it will work? We don't even have a battery that keep charging and not deteriorate and your talking about crazy science projections. I will come here in 2023 and there still won't be electric cars everywhere. Bros please tell me how the science of it will work. Your so called idea, have you been able to make a battery at all? Let alone one that can charge off wind only? Then one that can charge from wind only and power a car engine? And then one that can do all of this simultaneously....Now tell me how the science behind what you're planning, we can all have an idea of flying cars now knowing the science and making it work is a whole different ball game... And don't give me the crap about Japanese and Chinese or Americans. They haven't figured it out yet. Tesla is still trying to increase the life of its battery range... |
kayfra:Can't you see them already fighting for positions in their states? How is that any of your business how we decide to champion our destiny? The Nigerian state gave birth to Tompolo and other due to their constant neglect of the region that feed you and your broke ass Bleep state. As long as they continue to neglect us new Tompolos will rise. Better trained and more sophisticated, sooner or later we will either get our wish or the country goes broke. Unless your region is now able to chest the burdening of feeding the nation. If so we will gladly sit down and wait for our allocation like your lazy asses keep doing.... |
HopeAtHand:Leave the ingrates. They don't know how many of their brothers line up weekly at Osubi airport and others across the ND for shift changing. Forming studying Engineering, with the only hope of coming to work in our region. |
blazer234:Oil won't be useless in 5years. That's the most preposterous statement ever. We can make a side bet on it. We don't even have charging station for electric cars all over the US yet and not sure there will be in 5years not to talk of naija. As long as gas and crude is used to power our cars and for electricity we will always need crude... |
AnakinSkywalker:We can't keep letting fear of the unknown shackle us. Are you gonna stay in an abusive relationship because you don't know what the other holds? The people of the region are starting to speak up against their warlords already. We that have fought ourselves in the past are the ones saying we can only fight this fight together. We know what we want, and we all want the same thing and it's for our region to compete with its peers all over the world. For us to control our own destiny. We are willing to put aside our swords and guns for that. I'm in total support of the disintegration of Nigeria. We will work out our differences together like we had for centuries before colonialism. |
koboko69:Bros why are you making it sound like a crime that some of our brothers are now millionaires? And if you truly know anything about militancy, you will know they are mostly made up of graduates and undergraduates. Stop feeding the stereotype that they are all thugs. The first and only victims of the over 10,000 oil spills has been Niger Deltans only. Most people of the creeks, my people, your people have never seen electricity except in the big oil rigs across from them that feed the nation. And I should care that other Nigerians are feel their pain for once? Maybe if the average Nigerian feels the pain hard and long enough, they will know what it is like for my people in the creeks and will understand the injustice done to us by the Nigerian state for decades... I don't care if the vandalism change nothing other than reducing how much the Nigeria state earn, a state that has survived and thrived off the injustice metted to my people because we are a minority of minorities... |
oduastates:Like Tuale said above. The Itsekhiri is part of a united Niger Delta. You need to look at the activities of our Olu to know that, we are united we our fellow Niger Delta brothers.. In event of a break up, we will move with our brothers and see how it works. With an option for every ethnic group to opt out of the so decide... Also Tuale, I kind of share your earlier fears about not handing power over to warlords. I believe we have been in a democratic system long enough now. Our people's eyes are already opening in regards to warlords. And we are already witnessing silent rebellion against them in the region. So I believe we will tackle them head on when there is no longer Nigeria and resources control to blame, the only way we know how to (fight). But in the end we will be better for it, we all want the life and amenities we see abroad. Our people are hungry for development. |
koboko69:Bros nothing ooooo....That na one of the big witch for the region...Set us back 20 years... But we have never and will never have control of the national assembly in other to make the necessary constitutional amendments... And those that do, don't care enough about our plight to make that an important issue... So we will draw attention to our plight the only way we know how to... |
oduastates:What I'm getting at is the root cause of militancy...You guys blame militants for the problems in the region and loss of jobs. Not knowing it's the opposite, the constant neglect, couple with the lack of jobs and systemic shutdown of the ports and other industries. Will continue to give rise to unending militancy, no amount of amnesty or 13% or strong leadership can stop that. The entire Nigeria military cannot secure the length and breath of oil installations.. Oga if na the deve money dey pepper u, egbon u can come and collect it. We will not allow strangers constantly come, plough our land, steal our resources and leave us to pick the scraps. We have seen it done to us by una government and oyibos for decades...So if una nor pay deve now, no work. Because when una nor pay deve una nor gree develop our land and clean up the spills. If e pain u come Warri come follow us drink on Sunday... Na our OYEL, let that sink in...Either you like it or not na we get am....And until we get full resource control we will shut it all down... |
oduastates:Again the blame game. Was it militancy that led to the systematic shut down of NPA Warri? See how karma is hunting Naija...Tompolo used to work for NPA....What about DSC Aladja? Militants that shut it down as well... The creeks that has never had electricity is because of miltancy as well. |
oduastates:Can't you see we no longer give a F? Before they and y'all started blaming us, you lot didn't do anything for us. You guys were not kicking and screaming, when our environments was constantly degraded to feed y'all, you didn't care about the welfare of our people, environment and way of life. It's why we laugh and see through you guys that suddenly started caring for our environment more than we do...We were you guys for the over 10,000 spills? Now we don't care anymore, you will never care for us or fight our fight. You will always blame us or someone else. We have accepted this as our fate.. So keep putting the blame on us, we will take it all in... |
7lives:We also know how Ooni of ife, oba of Lagos and aalfin all have job slots. Where those sold to them as well? Since the headquarters is in Lagos, Oba of Lagos and Ooni can look for a lovely place in the middle of the Lagoon for them to put their rig... Y'all are enjoying electricity in Lagos, and there is no light bulb in our creeks.... Good precise attack NDA....Feel what our people feel....Ingrates |
To those saying the militants are further degrading our environment...Over 10,000 oil spills has happened in the Niger Delta, how many was cause by militants? And those profiting from it have they bothered to clean up jack? To those asking what our governors have done with 13%, we know they are thieves and don't hide it. What have y'all done with our 87% you share to yourselves...We have been to places like Texas and seen what have been done with less than what we have. To those saying the regular Niger Deltan don't support this. The attacks have taken place so far in Warri Southwest, have you heard anything from the Olu of Warri or Pere of Gbaramatu? Have you been to our villages and creeks to even see the rot of the place that has fed y'all for decades now. You ingrates....As long as your brothers get cushy offshore jobs and are flown in with choppers you could care less... To those saying they should shut oil production down and find other means of revenue...Please God in heaven should make that happen, that's our prayers. We will wait for our allocation and give y'all 13% since you think that's good enough... We have fed the nation for long enough, give us full resource control. It is our God given right... |
modath:Cmon, I definitely saw the bolded before I replied. You were using the justifications that they are tolls in the US as some sort of a reason why Federal roads should be tolled. What you had no clue about is that FEDERAL ROADS/INTERSTATE in the US are not tolled, only roads in major cities looking to reduce the hell of rush hour traffic. Fashola is a federal minister and talking about Federal roads, using the US cities with tolls road as a justification or comparisons that our federal roads should be tolled should not fly...I just want you to understand for sure you said that way out of context. This is over taxing and it is not done in the US for sure. That is what I wanted to clear up, it is not practiced anywhere in the US I know. Again Federal roads in the USA are not tolled... |
modath:Please please....Stop feeding people with lies because you don't understand how things in a place works fully... Kindly show me a Federal highway, and Interstate in the US that has tolls...None from I-90, I-35, the famous Route 66...I can go on for days, no single toll on any... Tolls are only in cities with large populations to help with the rush hour traffic...If you visit smaller cities and town zero tolls... So please say what you know how you know it... |
When PMB started his corruption war, a lot of Niger Deltans were indifferent and just wanted to prosecute whoever stole our money. But watching this government over the past months with it's clear and blatant favoritism.. I'm standing to death with my brother, and that is the feeling of most Niger Deltans right now. You do nothing about Fulani herdmen and call my brother terrorist. Screw you, bring it on, it's our creeks, our oil, we will bring as much of it down as we can. A man already down and out fears no fall. We remember Odi, gbaramatu and the rest that didn't make the news. We will forever shield and protect our own against y'all....The worst that can happen is we will die trying and our villages that they have refused to develop will be burnt... Again Nigerian Navy bring it on......... |
Daniel2802:Bros, there is no single part of Delta that the oil money is developing. The riverine communities are an eyesore, they have nothing absolutely nothing there, expect big tank farms and rigs that drill oil... |
dragonking2:I'm with you 100%. But we both know politics in our state is a lot more complex than others..Them go soon say, Delta South don start marginalization again. Urhobo did 8years, Itsekiri 8years now it's Igbo turn we want to start complaining.... That's one, and we have a tendency of giving so much power to criminals and warlords, who have in turn hijacked the electoral process in the state. That's what we really need to address. The smartest Deltans are no where near the corridor of power in the state, those who are have been influenced and corrupted by our thieves. |
WeNigerDelta: |
Amiano:Abegi, forget that talk....This is the same crew that has been ruling Delta forever, na dem dem don dey chop the money since 1999.... Why can't Okowa probe Uduaghan? Delta has been operating turn by turn come and chop government... It's Okowa's turn simple, they will always gives excuses why we should accept our sorry state. When they all had a hand directly in putting us here. |
dragonking2:Honestly, it's a depressing situation....No sense of hope that anything tangible will be done in the next four years...The so called empowerment programs have been one of the biggest jokes ever.... The Asaba axis, one of the highest oil producing state, is comatose....Warri axis is the walking dead...The riverine areas have been past dead long ago....All our previous governors have failed us woefully, but we have always rewarded them with 2nd term... Hopefully we go get sense for once, boot out this failed Ibori lineage, we know what we will get from them. It's incredibly nuts that we always expect something different from this same crew that's has ruled Delta since 1999 and maybe we can stop carrying last in development... |
tinnymerit:While the point you're trying to make is 100% correct, brains over grammar everyday. I can't help but notice you're comparing apples to oranges here... You just listed a bunch of Ivy League school drop outs in a discussion about books, grammar and brain to try and explain its not all about grammar and books. First you need to be very very smart academically to even be considered for an Ivy League school, after that there is this long ass essay you have to write about why you deserve the admission spot. An academically and grammatically deficient person is not getting into Harvard or Yale even if you have one of the best brains in the world.. So the zukerbergs and gates of this world, are extremely sound grammatically, academically, with awesome brains... |
NOETHNICITY:You still don't get it...Those in the south were arrested and are still getting arrested by the Nigerian Police Force. Not the Christian Police or Southern Police Force. Itsmeaboki, I agree I might be igronant. So how about you give me a link or something that shows any other kind of police is allowed to enforce the law... There has been no kind of amendment to my knowledge that allows for a religious police...States laws don't override federal law, when in anything, talk less of enforcing laws and policing... |
ItsMeAboki:Nigeria as a country has one police force. The NPF, there is no constitutional amendment that has made room for any other kind of police either religious, state or otherwise. If you're saying state assemblies are allowed to make laws providing their own police based on religious reasons. Then everyone else should be allowed to do it for whatever reason they believe. |
Kay17:Holy Shiznit......So a tweet or msg saying " I stand with Agatu" or "I stand against electoral violence" (also remember the corper was killed while serving his nation and in extension working for Mr president and a ward of the state) or something of that nature would have made his Belgium charade any less effective with the international community? I highly doubt that. The international community looks down on leaders who places no value on the lives of their citizen. They're disgusted by that, they don't get it, It's really weird to them, because the most important thing to them is the lives and interest of their citizens. They would have more respect for him if he showed he cares about the lives of all Nigerians and is distraught when even one is hurt. Irrespective of their ethnicity or parties card. Priorities baby...Your citizens and their interest are always more important than any other, simple as that. It's one of the reasons we have armies. When more than 10 of your citizens die at once. It's a tragedy, and when they are killed by others it is mass murder. When those killings are done to incite fear, it's called terrorism. More than 50 were killed and he could type as little as 160 characters to grieve with them and their community. Every single Nigerians life should matter to our president than a gazillion lives of other countries. So he should show more compassion towards his citizens first before foreigners. |
Here we go again. People who have no idea about Delta state will be the first to comment. Let me start with the apc e rats. Every governor from 1999-2007 was corrupt and a big thief. If any other governor should have the rug pulled from under them, it will be the exact same thing. You guys called on one of your biggest thieves "jagaban" to help sanitize the country. This same thief recognized the our thief (Odidigbodigbo's) boy (Ayiri) and dragged him to the apc fold. If you're dining with Ayiri, you're dining with our thief. Until you prosecute his sources of wealth and disavow him, rejecting his support, you're just as bad as him. Like they say real recognizes real or should I say thief recognizes thief. Now to my fellow Naija deltans. Now you see how it sucks when your brother/neighbor takes advantage of the fact they are closer to those in power to oppress you. Please all of you shouting betrayal, where were you during EPZ matter? When amnesty money was shared mostly to those closer to power nkor? Or was is not the same our brother that let his own brother, our Odidigbodigbo to hang. Or was Jonathan a better governor than Ibori. In short I challenge all those calling him the biggest thief in the world to bring the record of their governor from 1999-2007 let us compare. There is a reason this man is just below god status in Delta. He did his crime and unlike most others have done is time. If he comes back repentant and wants to help build Delta. Then all you holier than thou should let the man be... To Deltans, it's only the person that wears a shoe that knows where exactly it hurts..We say Ibori thief, we got EEU we cry and still wish for Ibori's days again. Now Okowa, I go still leave am on pending but the signs are not good at all.... Edo people cry say Lucky na big omilla, them jump to "go and die" governor. Please leave our thief that has done his time alone. You should be clamoring for the prosecutions of your own thieves that still walk around like Lords.. |
duni04:Thanks for your reply chairman....Please can you give me a list of brokers that let folks short stocks....I will really appreciate it, you can pm me it you don't want to make it public. That's been the only the holding me back from trading the NSE... |
Also another quick question. Has anybody or any firm ever been arrested or prosecuted for "insider trading" in Naija? Do people even talk about it? Or just see it as the big boys being in the know. Just curious.... |
courage89:I think we both understand each other. Yeah the NSE needs to invest in innovations of more tradable instruments. Just don't think short selling should be all that complicated, like options and swaps. Even options is not all that complicated and could brought in to for folks to actively trade the big boys stocks and the index. It's pretty much borrowing stocks for the duration of the options... Back to what you were saying, you're pretty much calling the duration of a trade/investment either short on long. A day trade and short swing trades are short positions according to you while investments, trades longer than a couple of swings are called longs...I get it... Hopefully the NSE remove the ban on short selling, as I believe that's protecting crooked companies with shady financials. They don't have to fear the wrath of the shorts and just keep floating along, tying down investors funds until they can get some of their act right and buyers come along a prop up the stock. Companies are not held as liable for loses and misuse of investors funds as they should be.. There are not even any activist investors, I believe short selling and options on a few securities of just the NSE index with the ability to trade both ways will bring a lot more excitement. Just my two kobo....Plus I love shorting a bear market and shitty companies... |
