OP. Say the truth. Of the millions of Nigerians in the UK- whats the percentage of people doing professional job? I understand what you are saying though. Having graduated from Nigeria with a First Class degree and wining a Shell Chevening Scholarship to study for an MSC degree in Information systems, I fell into the category of menial job worker after the 1 year Msc, reason because, it was hard getting a job with the Msc degree, while my White friends got jobs just immediately after graduation. For over a year - I worked all over the place - John Lewis, Safeway (then), Pizza Hut, to keep body and soul together - but then when the pro jobs came - it was high flying - earning top 300 pounds per day. But, dont let us confuse people. The statistics can make the pictures clearer. The number of qualified Nigerians doing menial jobs far outweigh the one doing pro jobs. Please, noone is saying menial jobs are bad, but to paint the picture like the UK is heavenly and use it to confuse folks back home is a serious disservice to them. With menial jobs - how much can you save at 5pounds per hour? Having to make ends meet by doing extra hours and working 24/7. That is what I term slavery- disagree with me - its allowed. But dont confuse people back home and letting them think once you get to the UK with your visiting visa- the jobs are all out there for them to chose from. And it is sad to believe that anyone in Nigeria who tells the truth about how life in the UK or diaspora is, then that person must hate diasporians or is sad because he was deported or denied visa. Almost every household in Nigeria has someone in the diaspora - so, why will Nigerians at home hate those abroad? The issue is when people twist the truth and make it seem like people or others havent been and seen what is available, some people trip like if you havent been abroad, then, you havent seen life. Haba? It shouldnt be. And whoever says suffer no dey abroad, that person needs his or her head examined. |
Why do people put undue importance on themselves? As if the country Nigeria will collapse without them? |
justwise: I'm sure that many people who left Nigeria to study and refused to return wrote this type of theory i'm reading from you here, it appears you are being sponsored by your parents at the moment, when you get to the UK, finish your studies, get a job and work and save then come back and tell us how many scholarships and primary schools you have given to your community.Who says you do? Does Nigeria give a damn if you come back or not? |
u r part of the population. so the shame goes to u as well. |
but you yourself has said it was a movie. A make belief. Why are you asking if our gsm customer rep can achieve that? |
ok sir. We have heard you loud and clear. |
caseless: Hav u confirmed d motive behind kilin b4 jumpin into conclusion and finger-pointin? Hav u heard d gunmen leadr arested confes b4 d sho of hatred u display abov?I dont believe you just said that rubbish! What motives are you asking for? That the worshipers took his wife or wives or what? |
dominique: you people telling op to buy another car are so unrealistic! do you know what it took before he bought the suv? did he have his BIL in mind when he was purchasing the car? do y'all expect him to run into debt so as to satisfy his BIL's whims and excesses. thats not the answer guys. poster, you've already proferred a solution; hide the keys where he cant find it. if he has copies of the keys. change the damn locks! then try and get wifey a cute car that is easier to manage and less expensive to maintain...Whats the difference between your advice and the advice to him to get a new car? If I ask him to buy a new car and you call it unrealistic, how realistic is your own telling him to buy a car for his wife? Na wa. |
nahinbdis: Another car is not on the books right now. Just started a business for wifey and the focus now is on building it.ok bros. |
banki: Am sure you must have noticed i dont use words like "stupid" to describe people on this forum i honestly think you should tow in that line its wrong for you and you cohorts to always resort to insults when you have nothing to say.And where will you put Tinubu? Where will you put El Rufai? On the side of the people? Saints in human clothing? |
Geomac: What if he cannot afford another car now?Did he say so? |
;.. |
leave the car for them - if you can, just buy yourself another car and keep the key with you. There is no way you can keep an automobile from an adult in the house. or you want your marriage to begin shake maka SUV? Biko. |
kommy: You are even dumber than the original poster for corroborating his stupidity and ignorance. There's nothing like a 3rd class degree in Medicine, what we have is an ordinary pass degree and in some extreme cases distinction. ODE!LOL. Chei - see bashing. People just come to NairaLand to expose their stupidity. Thanks jare Kommy. |
and what will u do when they make up behind you? |
New? Since when! |
Too bad. |
dedeike: OLODO! Look at how you have come to advertise your ignorance on Nairaland. Medical students are not graded with the conventional grades. There's nothing like first class. Or 2.1 or 2.2 or third class for a medical student. It is either a medical Doctor passes or fails. At best, they graduate with distinction.See bashing. |
tpapi: can u see d impact of ur low IQIts appalling. |
Location? |
kaeto: and what grade did your parents graduate with , you are insulting my inlaw, God purnish you and your entire generation. You dumb numb skull. Learn to search, 90% american presidents graduated with less than average grade. P N okeke, wole soyinka, prof. Ama nduka (africa's foremost physicist) all graduated with 3rd class. Who even has a good accademic record of tinubu, ibb, orji kalu, buhari(ssce). And you are to debate your sorry as5. Could you have even gained admission when dr okupe went to school? Go ask your mother what she graduated with and leave my inlaw alone o.Chei - see bashing. Omo. |
