Bludeville: I attended a federal university, I had great lecturers that inspired me both in the classroom and when our paths crossed outside it. I never once had to pay any lecturer anything. And i was never harassed to pay by anybody. I am sure my two hundred and six classmates would tell a similar story. Don't try to paint everything/everyone black. No offence but you do know there are other reasons lecturers would always "leave you in peace" right? Now you dont need me to spell them out to you do you?
I've also attended a Federal Uni and I assure you they also stock a good number of lecherous bastardds.

Purist: Considering my post was not even directed at you, I deem you an irredeemable retärd for taking this so personal because your charlatan master is being shown for the fraud that he is.

You must be dyslexic. Show me where I wrote that the Argentine president HAD cancer.

You must have serious problems with comprehension. Did you not see where I wrote that her head injury was recent? And where did you read that her hypertension requires surgery? (by the way, there ARE possible surgical procedures to treat hypertension!). Fact remains that the Argentine president has a history of health problems, which is what my initial post tried to show. A simple Google search would easily reveal that to you. For a calculative charlatan like TB Joshua who obviously has so many resources at his disposal, having even more inside information to build his "prophecy" on would hardly prove difficult.

You are a fool of epic proportions. The whole "soon" issue is exactly what makes his "prophecy" a fraud! A man "prophesies" that something would happen "soon". Because "soon" is very relative, it means that whenever it happens - 1.5 years, 3 years, 10 years, 20 yrs later - he would have been proven right after all. This is the very definition of vague. Are you so daft that you can't even grasp this basic logic?

Of course, those of us with a brain can easily see why TB Joshua refused to be specific, unlike idiots like yourself. The last time he gave a specific time period to his "prophecy" in 2011 when he "prophesied" that the Boko Haram insurgency would end by March 2012, he FAILED spectacularly. Now, I expect a raving baboon like yourself to come here and tell us how the "prophecy" failed because the Nigerian government refused to listen to him. I dare you, isn't that your explanation? cheesy

The Argentine president suffers from chronic hypertension. Some news sources report hypotension. Either way, it's obvious she has had issues with her blood pressure for a while. Therefore, "prophesying" death (arising from possible complications) following a surgery hardly requires divine revelation, I would think. TB Joshua is a calculative, unscrupulous son of a gun. Pity you are unable to see that as you have apparently exchanged your brain for a meager plate of morsel.

Meanwhile, why haven't you updated your initial post, or posted a follow-up comment to tell us that the president of Argentina has successfully undergone a surgery already, and is now recovering at her residence? ---> http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-24438437

My brother, you cant help but question the thought process of some individuals. This madness of doubting the preliminary report of the AIB started with the Fulani bigot NduChuks and the intent is to defend their late brother that piloted the ill fated aircraft. Apparently Captain Yakubu (a Northerner) is being framed by the aviation minister who happens to be from the South East therefor we need to hear it ourselves or have it re-analysed outside the country to believe its conclusion! Why? You may ask, well I'll leave that for the shameless bigot to come and answer himself. EwuChuks, over to you.

Christianity EtcRe: Is TB Joshua's Argentina Prophecy Coming To Pass? by wesley80(op): 1:19pm On Oct 13, 2013
Purist: The Argentine president obviously has a history of ill health.

- She had previously been diagnosed of cancer
- She suffers from chronic hypertension
- She recently had a head injury

As of the time this so-called "prophecy" was made, her health condition certainly was not anywhere near optimal. Even a certified fool would have been able to venture out a guess and "prophesy" the impending death of a certain leader in Argentina, given these antecedents (notice how "leader" is so generic).

Furthermore, this "prophecy" was made as far back as April 2012. That's exactly 1 year and 6 months ago. Yet, we were made to believe back then that an Argentinian leader would die SOON. Pray tell, how on earth is 1.5 years "soon (and we're still even awaiting this death o)"? My understanding of "soon", although relative in itself, does not in anyway indicate that we would have to wait for a whole year and half to see the manifestation of the predicted event.

But of course, TB Joshua, being the calculative charlatan that he is, has obviously studied this woman's health history extensively to know well enough that she doesn't really have much longer to spend on this earth. We just have to wait for when it will inevitably happen, even if it would take 2 years, 5 years or even 10 years. After all, he "prophesied" that it would happen "soon", and we all know that "soon" is very relative term.

And to appease the TB Joshua apologists in the event that she fails to die any time in the foreseeable future, remember that TB Joshua prophesied the death of a "leader", not necessarily "president". So even if some local Argentine politician dies next week (which is more than likely), his "prophecy" would have come to pass anyway.

TB Joshua -- scamming gullible Nigerians since the 90's. cheesy
Dude, you're only trying to be smart by half.
Firstly, the Argentine president never had cancer but was diagnosed wrongly and given a clean bill of health after her surgery.
Secondly, her head injury happened in AUGUST this year long after the prophecy and was not disclosed, so you my friend are the desperate liar here as there obviously are no "health antecedents" for TB Joshua to have built on. Whoever heard of hypertension requiring surgery? Certainly not me.
Thirdly, you admitted the term 'soon' was relative but yet couldn't resist brandishing your callousness in attacking the prophet over a term that could be 'relative'. If you've listened to his prophecies as I have you'd know to tell which is imminent and which isnt, in any case your criticism here only gives up your unashamed folly.
Finally you accused him of predicting 'death'! A common attribute of you armchair and ignorant critics is your constant penchant to relegate facts and allow your petty emotions cloud your judgement even when contrary facts stare you in the face. The prophet makes his position absolutely clear; a situation shall arise, perform surgery and he/she dies, ignore surgery and he/she would live. Now who is the calculative charlatan saying She doesnt have much time to live on earth?

What happens when they attend a Delta meeting and the moderators choose to speak Urhobo instead what next? They should also start agitating for all Igbo speaking tribes to be carved into Anambra state? At least thats the line your logic seems to lead.

Infact before I matriculated in OAU, I have already lost a year.
The aim here is 2013 should be the last time we ever hear of ASUU going on strike. Let's work towards that.
Was that the year they were supposed to teach you common sense? Now see what you've become after you go say strike good!
EducationRe: FG Stops Salaries Of Striking Lecturers (ASUU) by wesley80(m): 9:57am On Oct 11, 2013
tpacalipse: ASUU can never be owed by anyone. Govt shall pay and its hands will be washed by water in case there are remnants sticking there. When ASUU calls off the strike, no pay no work policy would start again. For more than one year now, at every congress of ASUU, it has always been discoursed that this strike may go on for two years and the lecturers knew what they were in for before the strike commenced. No one will back down in this struggle to reposition the universities in this country. No work no pay will eventually become no pay no work. Govt will beg to pay and even ASUU will refuse to collect. They shall pay in multiple folds. Some of you think ASUU is like other toothless union in Naija. Or you think is like that agbero union some of ya papa belong to.
So why were they in a hurry to share FG's money then? Keep kidding yourself I know a number of 'senior' lecturers that were already in a hole before this disbursement.

No work no pay isn't new. I support ASUU 100%.
Now is the time to finish this war.
Govt can't be trusted. Other unions knows this..
Oponu, lecturers have been paid you're asking if the money is in their accounts, what biz of mine is it where the money is? Last week you called me names when I broke the news now that it's been confirmed by others you're askin for bank confirmations. Abeg shift make I see road.
PoliticsRe: Labour To Strike If ASUU Issue Is Not Resolved by wesley80(m): 6:05am On Oct 11, 2013
omicron: But, why is it that Federal Government does not usually honour aggreements entered into with all these unions? I really cannot blame ASUU for anything here, as long as it remains an aggreement the Government made with them, moreso as this is not the first time they have had to strike in order for government to honour aggreements.

It's sad but I think the devil between ASUU and FG is the latter. Come to think of it, most children of ASSUU members are affected by this same strike, whereas the same cannot be said about these top politicians who continue to take every Tom, Dicck and Harry in this country for granted.
Gowon and Ojukwu entered into negotiations in Aburi Ghana to prevent a civil war, an accord was reached by both sides but the Nigerian side later reneged on its part obviously because the FG had been outsmarted by Ojukwu who went to the negotiations fully prepared while the FG only attended more out of obligation. The result - a civil war! Like Aburi accord like 2009 agreement! ASUU outsmarted the FG during negotiations and are now holding the FG to it.

By the way, why is the FG itself when it will still pay whateva it is trying to owe?

SLIDE waxie: Some people are just senseless!!!
Whether they want to fight for their pockets or their bags, the truth is: they made just one good point in which we all have to support them. And the point is:

'The govt are not bothered abt you students because their children study abroad'

This is a matter that should make us all angry and not calling for the labour leader's head!

At least, if their threats go real, are they not clear abt wot they want? Is it for them or for ASSU? undecided
Is that the only thing that should bother them? Do the so called leaders use Nigerian hospitals? Do they vacation in Nigeria? Are they at the mercy of kidnappers and robbers like other Nigerians? Do they rely on smoky and noisy i pass my neighbor gen sets to have power? Why arent labour leaders angry over all these also? Your head isnt there as a design, USE IT, that's why you were given one!

Great job you're doin here and I've learnt a lot personally even though I still hold my reservations. I'm guessing you prefer an engagement with those bearing the brunt of the strike action so I'll take my leave and continue watching from the sidelines. Two thumbs up.

Mods, a Prof / lecturer took out time to give a detailed and educative response to criticisms that have been directed at ASUU lately, I think that thread deserves the frontpage a dozen times more than anything I've seen on that homepage this morning. I do not agree with what he's said but I believe its only fair that a thread as educative as his graces the frontpage.
