Also remember the context of praying against or for destiny. Thats a religious context. But then even if not, what can change the so called destiny? Prayer? It didnt even for Jesus in the hour of his passion.

That word destiny strongly suggests something specific placed in the future and religious people mean that it was placed there by God. If they pray against it, they suggest that the will of their God can be defeated or changed.

Its contradictory and I wholly stand with your initial take.

Its better for the chap to say "May heaven help my hope."

Jews and many churchians today pray in the name of angels for instance they will say: holy Michael, holy Gabriel, holy this holy that when praying to their God but the only name given to believers that we can use in prayer to our God is "Jesus"

The reason is that back in heaven he bears the name "Michael" but here that he walked among us and gave his life as ransom for our sin the name he was called is "Jesus" that's the import of Hebrews 1:5

Destined to die in a way is not what anyone knows about, so when you have a bad dream of dying, you have every reason to pray against it.
No human knows how and when they're going to die.
If it is your destiny, you won't even know until it happens.

The best you can do is pick your Bible and notes, get to your seat, and let them take their Sunday School themselves.

Alhough I don't know how the people in that church are reacting towards you over it, but that you accepted, studied, and took it is enough for you.

Only that next time, if they ask you to take it up again, ask if the pastor is aware.

That should make every pastor, apostle, prophet, and disciple an angel, too.

But the Bible, even in the Old Testament, spoke about the Son of God, as well as the New Testament, which says, Jesus is the Son of God, not an angel of God.
