Career / Re: What Are Your Experience Working With Indian Managers by westlius(m): 12:14am On Dec 05, 2023
fxexperts:
yes you are right Indians are very corrupt and they steal from company, but they try to do it intelligently by trying to cover the books and they steal with conscious, but you see Nigerians they will literarily run your company to the ground with no mercy. and when your company folds up they will open your company for themselves, they will literally move from employees to big time employer with your company funds. Nigerians steal without conscious.
The tins MD/CEOs should do is invest more on Audit and investigations, banks are being managed by Nigerian and it is so becos powers are given to the Audit and compliance dept to act

Depends on the perspective of the person speaking.

Employers tend not to like them, but Business owners love them.

I'll speak based on my experience with them, as a business owner.

Several years ago, I had serious difficulties managing various businesses I had set up. The staff dealt with me. Forging of invoices, theft of inventory, inflation of contracts, there's nothing they didn't do.

The Nigerian workers were out to finish me.
Like they say, "where person dey work, na there e dey chop, hence the name, workchop (workshop)".

You sack and replace them, the new ones continue from where the old ones stopped. They will even improve their techniques of stealing so as not be caught like their predecessors.

After trying so many methods to reduce all this, from utilizing tech and automating several processes, to involving relatives, it came to my realization that the only way to stop all this was to run the businesses myself, to be "on ground" always, but that wasn't possible. So I planned to start shutting them down and to focus only on one. I told a friend who was also a businessman about my challenges and plans, hoping he would be able to purchase some of the assets I was hoping to sell from the shutdown businesses. He recommended I hire indian management. I wasn't keen at first, but finally decided to try it.

To put it shortly, I eventually got an Indian manager for one of the businesses and it worked like magic. Business began to be good. Profit began to come in. For the first time, I could be away and still be confident and relaxed that my business is in good hands. Apparently, the business troubles we had been having weren't because of "bad economy", it was because of "bad workers" who were out to build houses on my head.

Today, the businesses are growing from strength to strength. All key positions are occupied by indians. If I'm starting a new business today, all key positions go to indians by default.

I have recommended the "indian solution" to so many business people, at least 5 of which have adopted it this year alone, and it has been good stories since then. Not a single one of them has regretted the decision.

The simple truth is that the average Nigerian is corrupt and is a thief. Those who have not stolen have not done so simply because of lack of opportunity.

And that's why our country is like this, after all, the leadership is a representation of the citizenry. Nigerians are a bad people and have rightly given rise to bad leaders.

Below is a post I made few years ago about this same issue.

Good day Sir,
with all due respect Indians are not the best, I am an Auditor and I worked where I audit them, they bring profits to the company but not all, any time I query the accountant, I see lots of frauds and when I ask she tells me ask oga.
I also found out the Indian boss makes sizable profit for the MD.
my take is this we have good Nigerians but we pay them poorly, pay a Nigerian very well, forget or minimum wage and see ur company grow

the zeal of the person was poor, most times I send him links, I even remind him always if he has applied. he only love requesting for urgent 2k.
I had this friend of mine(ex staff) one day last month while leaving the office I heard of a vacancy, I had to put a call to my ex staff, I was shocked 1 hr later he called he was around my office.
I was please, he submitted the CV and requested to transport, I was happy given him.

I met this guy 2020 at Calabar, we worked in the same project in Calabar (8miles). After the project I returned back to my base in PH and he was in UYO for another job.
2 months ago he chatted me he is in PH and badly in need of job. Then his calls and messages became constant.
I gave him several job links, this morning he sent me a FB message that one of the job has sent him an invitation, I was happy at least if he gets it he can pay his bills. He then drops his account details that I should send me 1k for transportation which I declined. I bluntly told him I can't look for job for you and give u transportation for the interview.
This evening, as I came back from work I called him to know if he went for the interview, the funny guy send no he didn't go because of no transport fare, I just hang call

Yes but to what end? 2027 Wike will use party members, federal might, INEC and Judiciary to fight SIM. It will be a miracle if he survives 😂😂
So did amechi did in wike first tenure and didn't succeed.
Federal might don't work in South South elections

Funny you. Same Amaechi and co that Wike have rendered irrelevant both in state and national politics. In 2019 Wike made sure that APC didn't have a governorship candidate in the election, irrespective of Amaechi's and Dakuku federal might.
I guess then you were not interested in politics.
Wait and see what will happen in 2027

SIM is not wise to be fighting Wike in his first tenure
The best for sim is to collapses wike structure.
Ameachi structure is still intact and observing things

Sim fubara fails to understand one thing, what did he agree with Wike before he became the governor of rivers state?
Look , agreement is agreement.
Sim would have waited for second tenure before he starts fighting Wike, now is too early for any issues. Without Wike , no one knows sim, it was Wike that made sim won the election.
Never bites the hands that feeds you.
What about agreement between wike and mama peace.
Wike was not eligible the fact than Ikwerre man ruled 8 years
But mama peace helped him
